Baltic cruise with NCL

We went on Baltic cruise with NCL from 19 to 28 Sept2017. We booked our optional tours with SPB for Berlin, Tallin, St Petersburg, Helsinki and Stockholm. We found SPB after reading the good reviews on TripAdvisor. We were very happy with the service provided by SBP - the organisation, visa application, Payment and communications prior to our departure. We were especially pleased and thankful for the services provided by SPB in most of the cities All the guides were excellent in their organisation and communication. They go out of their ways to answers questions and meeting the needs of the passengers in their tour group. Everything was clearly explained and we did not encounter any problems. They are excellent in service delivery and their prices are reasonable. They also arrange for visa requirements at St Petersburg We highly recommend SPB for optional tours during the Baltic cruise John KS Ung Travelling with 7 others from Melbourne, Australia

First, thank you, John, for trusting us with your group's shore excursions this summer and for your review and recommendation! It really means a lot to us here at SPB-Tours and we're so happy to hear you enjoyed your time in port with us :)

Used SPB in St Petersburg, Russia. They were flexible enough to give us an itinerary of our choice over 2 days. Both guide and driver spoke English and were quite knowledgable and helpful. The vehicle was good and the tour was priced reasonably. I would recommend them very highly.

Thank you very much for your review and recommendation! It really means a lot to us here at SPB-Tours. We're so happy to hear you had a good time in St. Petersburg with us!

Great tour! Tatiana was extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer all our random questions. Our driver was also very accommodating as my father was using a mobility scooter. He loaded, unloaded, many times.... We would use this company again in a heartbeat.

Thank you for your review! We are happy to hear you had a great time with Tatiana and it was our pleasure accomodating your father. We hope to see you again soon!

This was an excellent tour filled with wonderful sights and an excellent guide. She was personable and very knowledgeable about all aspects of St Petersburg.

Thank you for your review! We are so glad to hear you had an excellent time with us in St. Petersburg :)

We had limited time (1 day in St. Petersburg via cruiseship). As with any "tour" of limited tme (from a cruiseship) you do only get a taste of what you could spend weeks experiencing. Our tourguide Olga got us to all the major sites and gave us a very thorough accounting and history of each site, I wish I would have taken notes as if I was back in high school.. The history lessons she provided were quite thorough. Other reviews will tell you all the amazing sites you will see, our favorite was the fountains at Peterhof.. however it is hard to have a single favorite.. Since those reviews are out there I won't spend much of this review explaining how amazing these sirtes are...I will just add a visit to St. Petersburg must be on everyones bucket list. Being the last cruiseship in the Baltics (for the year) the crowds were low compared to peak season, the weather was not optimal for some folks, in that it rained and the temperatures were upper 40's to low 50's... we anticiapted this and was not a huge issue for us. SPB provided bright orange poncho's for the rain, and radio receivers so we could all hear Olga as she described each site, this allowed us to take photos as she talked, optimizing our time. I highly recommend SPB tours, tour of St Petersburg. -- Immigration in St. Petersburg is a hassle (lengthy). SPB knows this and greets and organizes us as soon as we make it thru. The bright orange SPB signs are easy to see / find. -- The tour was thorough, and I can't imagine anyone doing a better job than our tourguide (Olga) did. -- The cost was < 1/2 of a similar tour booked thru the cruise line -- Humanitarian (bathroom) breaks were frequent enough for this retiree that needs them. -- Booking online was easy, I actually chose SPB based on reviews and their internet site was the easiest for me to figure out compared to their competitors. SPB's communication (email) after the booking was thorough and made each tour smooth. (instructions for disembarking the ship and processing thru immigration). -- We bundled this tour with other SPB tours (of the Baltics), SPB provided a discount for the bundling.

Dear Joe M, Thank you for your review and for choosing us over the ship's excursions. We're so happy to hear that you enjoyed your time with Olga in St. Petersburg!

Our group of 7 enjoyed a fabulous tour with our guide Irina H & driver Aldar which covered all the things we wanted to see and experience. We also had a guided evening tour on the first night which was particularly enjoyable and we enjoyed a dinner at a local restaurant. The tour was well organised and Irina brought the history to life for us with her knowledge and love of St Petersburg. Everything exceeded our expectations and we have wonderful memories to treasure! I highly recommend SPB Tours, especially as our time there was limited to 2 days on our Baltic cruise.

Thank you so much for your positive review and recommendation! We're so happy to hear that you all enjoyed your time in St. Petersburg with Irina and Aldar :)

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Arcadia

Currently on cruise number 25 or 26 but first on P&O. To start on positive the internet is the best we've experienced at sea and the food in main restaurants is excellent, amongst best we have had at sea (apart from the buffet which is amongst the poorest). The main problem with the ship, part from it being very very dated, is that the logistics, moving and organising people is just utterly ... Read More

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Arcadia

The ship is looking very tired now and would benefit from a major refurbishment especially the air conditioning. All of the staff were very good and helpful. The menu was monotonous and we became bored of it very quickly in the buffet area on deck 9 and was probably aimed at targeting a more advanced in age person - Im sure that there is no need for a roast dinner for Lunch and Dinner 7 days ... Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Holland America Rotterdam

First time on a Pinnacle class ship and the Rotterdam did not disappoint. Embarkation was very simple with priority boarding given for being in a Neptune Suite. Loved our aft wrap around cabin. This afforded us great views aft and starboard to see the majestic fjords. Food was great! Rudi’s and Pinnacle Grill were treats but the Club Orange was a wonderful surprise. Great service and ... Review for a Arctic Cruise on Fridtjof Nansen

My husband and I loved this cruise! The ship is beautifully planned and decorated. We had an Arctic Superior room, which had plenty of storage space. It also had a balcony, although we didn't use it often due to the fickle Icelandic weather. The food was excellent (assuming you like fish and lamb, which are Icelandic staples). Basic beer and wine were included and plentiful. Deck 10 has a ... Read More

Boarded the ship no issues. Four adults three young kids 2 1/2 , 4 and 11. Cabin was fine. Clean ship with staff very friendly. Food was very good. Ferdinand in Soleil was great. Overall not too bad. Destinations were ok. Now for the negatives. Nowhere on the ship could we find baby changing facilities. Princess like most cruise lines are red hot on hygiene yet we were reduced to changing ... Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Sky Princess

We chose this specific voyage as it was more port-intensive and included two scenic fjords we were eager to see - Geirangerfjord and Nordfjord. Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Hanseatic Inspiration

SUMMARY: This is a nice small luxury expedition ship (with luxury pricing). There were some disappointing issues related to both technical support and service which were previously not my experience on Hapag Lloyd (HL) ships, so I rate it overall 4/5 instead of 5/5.
