‘AGT All-Stars’ Standout Avery Dixon to Embark on His First Out of Country Tour

America’s Got Talent saxophonist Avery Dixon recently announced that he will be hitting the road overseas. Specifically, Dixon will perform as a featured guest in California-based musican Dave Koz’s upcoming tour.

Avery Dixon Set to Hit the Road This May

In a short video uploaded on Instagram, Dixon revealed that he recently communicated with multi-platinum selling jazz icon Dave Koz. Apparently, the conversation led the Atlanta saxophonist to secure a trip to Spain and an opportunity to show off his musicality to foreign audiences.

“I got the chance to connect with him through Instagram and he asked me to be a guest musician on May 2023, Dave Koz at Sea Cruise to Spain,” he said. “So I’d like to announce my official first trip out of the country.”

Seconds prior to his big announcement, Dixon admitted that he’s been a huge fan of Koz for a long time. Since he’s such a huge fan of the fellow musician, he considered this opportunity “over the moon.”

At the moment, all of the dates of Koz’s May tour are already sold out. Dixon will be performing on those dates in both Morocco and Portugal. It seems like this experience will be great for the young saxophone player, since the crowds will be completely filled.

Apart from the Sea Cruise tour, Dixon has also booked several gigs through his mom-slash-manager Lisa. Nonetheless, the saxophonist is still open for more offers, hoping to fill his calendar in the coming months.

He Performed ‘September’ During AGT All-Stars Finale

Back in season 17 of America’s Got Talent , Dixon landed in the Final show but nonetheless failed to secure the biggest prize. This year, he came back for AGT All-Stars more determined to pocket the prestigious title and prize money. The saxophonist recently performed as a finalist in the spin-off series, competing against 10 other remaining contestants.

Last Monday, Dixon captured the crowd when he played his own version of “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire . He went on stage with an accompanying band and completely energized the audience with their amazing act.

Upon witnessing the act, music mogul Simon Cowell called it “astonishing.” Meanwhile, Heidi Klum reflected how Dixon always manages to rise to the occasion while Howie Mandel stated that he was the “most improved” contestant in the show.

Next week’s Finale will reveal the winner of the first ever season of AGT All-Stars . If you want to see who will win the ultimate title of being the best of the best, be sure to tune in on the spin-off series next Monday on NBC, Peacock, or fuboTV.

‘America’s Got Talent’: Who’s performing live in ‘Qualifiers 5’? Gabriel Henrique, 82nd Airborne Chorus …

The fifth week of “ America’s Got Talent ” live shows for Season 18 will air Tuesday, September 19 (performance show) and Wednesday, September 20 (results show), with 11 out of the 55 total acts  taking the stage in front of judges Simon Cowell , Howie Mandel , Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara and host Terry Crews . In each of the five initial qualifying rounds, only the top two vote-getters will advance to the grand finale, so voting is of utmost importance. Of note, this “Qualifiers 5” week will welcome the last Golden Buzzer to the stage: Sofia’s choice of singer Gabriel Henrique .

So who’s performing live in “Qualifiers 5”? NBC has confirmed to Gold Derby the identities of the 11 upcoming acts. They are:

82nd Airborne Chorus Chorale group, ages 20-33, from Fort Bragg, North Carolina

Avantgardey Dance group, ages 18-27, from Osaka, Japan

Eduardo Antonio Trevino Mariachi singer, age 11, from Humble, Texas

Eseniia Mikheeva Dancer, age 7, from Moscow, Russia

Gabriel Henrique Singer, age 27, from Minas Gerais, Brazil

Grace Good Hula hoop artist & aerialist, age 30, from Las Vegas, Nevada

Lachune Singer, age 31, from Fort Worth, Texas

Mandy Muden Comic magician, age 61, from London, England

Ramadhani Brothers Acrobatic duo, ages 26 & 36, from Tanzania

Sangsoon Kim Magician, age 28, from Seoul, South Korea

Trailer Flowers Singing guitarist duo, ages 27 & 28, from Wildwood, Missouri

The ultimate winner of “AGT” Season 18 will join the list of champions that includes singers ( Bianca Ryan , Neal E. Boyd , Kevin Skinner , Michael Grimm , Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. , Grace VanderWaal and Kodi Lee ), ventriloquists ( Terry Fator , Paul Zerdin and Darci Lynne Farmer ), magicians ( Mat Franco , Shin Lim and Dustin Tavella ), dancers ( Kenichi Ebina and Mayyas ) and variety acts ( Olate Dogs and Brandon Leake ).

“America’s Got Talent” has been a summer staple for NBC since it initially premiered in 2006. This year marks its 18th regular season, but there have also been three American-based spin-offs: “AGT: The Champions,” “AGT: All-Stars” and “AGT: Extreme.”

The 11 Acts Performing in AGT 19's Live Quarterfinals Tonight, September 3

America's Got Talent is back for one more Live Quarterfinal round of Season 19. 

For 11 more Acts in the America’s Got Talent Season 19 Quarterfinals, it’s their last shot to secure a spot in the Semifinals or, better yet, the last Live Golden Buzzer that’ll send them all the way through to the end. 

How to Watch

Watch America’s Got Talent Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock . 

The last batch of live performers are taking the stage on September 3 to up their game again after making it through based on their initial auditions. From singers to magicians to comedians, the Acts are pulling out all the stops to try and impress Judges Howie Mandel , Heidi Klum , Sofia Vergara , and Simon Cowell  — as well as earn America’s Vote . But you may be wondering which of your favorites from the first round are taking the stage this time. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. 

Below are the 11 Acts who will perform on the final night of the AGT Season 19 Quarterfinals. 

Brent Street

Act: Dance Group

This incredible dance group made the viewers think their audition was just going to be one man performing, but he quickly tricked the entire crowd when a massive, high-flying, and acrobatic group of dancers came out of the wings to show off some of the best moves AGT viewers have ever seen. In the end, they earned a Golden Buzzer from Mandel and they’re hoping to repeat that success in the Quarterfinals.

Erica Rhodes

Act: Comedian

The AGT room loves a good comedian and that’s exactly who Erica Rhodes is. She had the crowd laughing up a storm during her Audition and was easily sent to the next round. However, in a competition as fierce as this with only a few comics making their way through, she’s facing an uphill battle. Hopefully her jokes are enough to give her the edge. 

Illya & Anastasiia Strakhov

Act: Acrobats

This duo impressed in their initial Audition with some of the most ambitious and dangerous head-balancing the world has ever seen. Now, this duo is hoping to get one step further to their dream of headlining a Las Vegas show all their own.

Jonathan Burns

Act: Magician

Magic is already a crowd-favorite on the AGT stage, but add in Jonathan Burns'  incredible stage presence and sense of humor and you’ve got something truly special. He wowed the crowd in his first Audition by bringing Vergara and Klum up on the stage for an Act that had them and the audience chuckling. 

Act: Singing Group

These performers initially took the stage with a backing track, but Simon Cowell gave them a tweak to take on a Celine Dion hit a cappella that was unlike anything they’d done previously. The wild on-stage tweak earned them a spot in the Quarterfinals where all eyes are on them to see if they can top that spontaneity 

Oscar Stembridge

Act: Singer

This young heartthrob instantly won over the crowd with his charming demeanor on stage . However, when he began  his song , it became clear that his winning personality is backed by an immense talent that could very well earn him the crown in AGT Season 19. 

Pranysqa Mishra

It’s been said many times that Season 19 is the season of talented kids and Pranysqa Mishra helped prove that during her Audition in which she took the stage as a shy little girl but began singing like a show business veteran. Now she’ll be singing a new song that she hopes will captivate the Judges and audience into giving her a shot at winning AGT .

Sebastián & Sonia

Act: Aerial Performance

It’s always heart-stopping to see aerialist performances take the AGT stage as the level of skill and risk is always through the roof. This duo showed off some of the most impressive moves of the competition so far, earning them an easy pass to the next round. However, one has to wonder what they can possibly do to up the ante in their live performance. 

Solange Kardinaly

Act: Quick Change Magician

Make sure you don’t blink when this performer takes the stage as you may miss one of the lightning-fast outfit changes. Her first Audition saw her magically change her clothes almost 10 times right in front of the Judges and audience, who marveled at how she was able to pull it off. She noted that she personally  makes all of her custom quick-change outfits so one wonders what she’s cooked up for her live performance. 

Stephanie Rainey

The best musical Acts on AGT are the ones with heart, and Stephanie Rainey had that and then some when it came to her first Audition. A stripped-down, acoustic rendition of an original song was incredibly moving to the live crowd and the audience at home. Now, she seeks to do it again live. 

Act: Variety

This strange comedic performer was heralded by Simon Cowell as his son’s favorite performer . While he may not have the same skills as some of the other people who take the AGT stage, his showmanship and comedic timing make him something to behold.
