‘An Encanto Celebration’ Debuts to the Delight of Guests Onboard the Disney Magic

Today, ‘An Encanto Celebration’ debuted onboard the Disney Magic to the delight of guests who packed in the D-Lounge for the 2PM event leaving standing room only for late arrivals.

When Disney Cruise Line revealed the new experience last Friday, they described it as follows:

Guests can join the fantastical family Madrigal during an all-new immersive experience, “An Encanto Celebration,” designed to engage families through music, crafts and storytelling. The interactive experience gives guests an opportunity to meet and take photos with Mirabel and the family member we don’t talk about, Bruno, during their Disney Cruise Line debut. Families can also join a spirited sing-along of beloved “Encanto” songs and create butterfly and flower crafts inspired by the film. During the show, guests can experience a true taste of South America thanks to a selection of local Colombian beers, cocktails and sodas along with film-inspired mocktails.

A selection of drinks were available from the bar in D-Lounge including a mocktail named the Coco-Lima.

The special cocktail was unnamed, but listed as “Cocktail 3” on the recipe printout.

The event started with some questions about Encanto led by members of the entertainment team. Approximately 10 kids who answered questions correctly were invited up on stage.

The experience continued with the singing of the Encanto theme using maracas. The lyrics were displayed on the screens around D-Lounge to aid in guest participation.

The celebration included two crafts with supplies available for making flowers and a butterfly.

What is an Encanto experience without the song about the person that one family member… The next song was We Don’t Talk About Bruno with different kids invited onstage. There was full audience participation for this song.

The entertainment cast members, Ricardo and Lily, held another round of questions with more kids invited up on stage before launching to another song from the film, Su rface Pressure .

The event concluded with a Mirabel and Bruno meet and greet allowing guests to take photos.

‘ An Encanto Celebration ‘ was just about 40 minutes in run time and was reported to be a hit with those in attendance.

Before you even enter your stateroom, let your loved one know that something special is on the other side.

Birthday Stateroom

A “Happy Birthday” door decoration featuring Mickey, Minnie, and more of your Disney faves greet your birthday guest, and of course, it is nautical-themed!

Next, you are greeted by this adorable, “Happy Birthday” banner complete with Mickey balloons, confetti, and nautical-inspired Goofy, Donald, and Pluto!

A “celebrate” banner hangs along the back of the room, and how cute are the decorations on the bed? The birthday theme carries all the way through the room.

The pillows feature special decor and a “celebrate today” birthday blanket covers the bed! The decorations are vibrant and feature twinkling, stars, fireworks, and celebratory fun.

Here is another great look at the decorations. They are perfectly festive!

The Birthday Celebration Room is a special occasion add-on that you reserve in advance, and it’s available on all Disney Cruise Line ships.

Simply, log in to My Reservations , select “Special Requests,” and fill out the Special Request form. Orders must be received at least 48 hours prior to departure.

DCL also offers a variety of flowers, chocolates, and sparkling wine that can be delivered to your stateroom, as well as specially-themed packages that can add to the special celebration!

Disney is celebrating #HalfwaytotheHolidays and Disney Cruise Line is the perfect place to celebrate the holidays! Learn more below.

Here are all the details from Disney Cast Member Melanie Curtsinger:

The calendar may say July, but it’s never too early to start planning for the holidays, right? From the catchy holiday jingles, themed food and gatherings with family and cherished loved ones, there are so many reasons why it truly is the most wonderful time of the year!

Whether you are looking for a new family tradition or just simply want to add some cheer to the season, Disney Cruise Line has an option to make the magic of the holidays come alive – Very Merrytime Cruises !

From early November through December , the Disney Cruise Line fleet is decked from bow-to-stern with holiday cheer and entertainment during Very Merrytime Cruises. Holiday magic is unwrapped for the whole family with festive holiday decor, favorite characters in their finest holiday attire and a special visit from none other than Santa Claus.

But don’t just take my word for it! Here are some of my favorite things about these special holiday sailings on board Disney Cruise Line.

Holly Jolly Decor

When you enter the atrium for the first time on your Very Merrytime Cruise, your eyes will likely be immediately drawn to the three-deck-tall Christmas tree. That’s right – from garlands, poinsettias and shimmering lights, décor will fill the nooks and crannies of our ships during these holiday sailings, filling your vacation with holiday merriment from the moment you step on board!

Santa Claus! 

What’s a holiday cruise without Santa and Mrs. Claus? We may not be at the North Pole, but you can still be on the lookout for sightings of ‘Old Saint Nick’ while you’re on board, and you won’t want to miss one of our favorite Disney Cruise Line traditions – Storytime with Mrs. Claus.

Whether it’s Mickey in his winter sweater, Pluto with antlers or Goofy in a full-fledged Santa suit, your favorite characters will be dressed in their finest holiday garb during Very Merrytime Cruises.

Castaway Cay

My favorite thing to do for the holidays is trade in white snow for the white sand beaches on Castaway Cay , Disney Cruise Line’s private island. But even though you may be in the Bahamas, this slice of paradise is decked for the holidays as well – with a tropical flair, of course! A massive Christmas tree, holiday island music and even “snow” flurries await your family, guaranteeing that the only “blue” you’ll be feeling this holiday season is the color of the crystal-clear waters!

1 – Preparing for Your Very Merrytime Cruise

We had a lot of fun getting ready for our holiday cruise. We packed matching holiday shirts and brought our own stateroom decorations, along with ordering an in-room décor package. Check out our article on packing for a Very Merrytime Cruise by clicking here .

2 – Holiday Decorations Around the Ship

When you step aboard the ship during your Very Merrytime Cruise, you’ll find it decorated for the holidays. Decorations include a life-sized gingerbread house that smells amazing, garlands, poinsettias, and lights all around the ship. They really do make the ship even more magical. Finally, you’ll find a 24-foot Christmas tree in the atrium.  The tree stays dark until the first evening, during a special tree-lighting ceremony.

4 – Mickey’s Tree-Lighting Magic

On the first night of your cruise, you don’t want to miss “Mickey’s Tree-Light Magic,” a short show in the atrium lobby. During the show, Disney characters lead holiday carols and the lighting of the three-deck-tall tree. It was an entertaining show that set the stage for a great holiday cruise.

5 – Santa’s Winter Wonderland Ball

Also on the first night of the cruise, is “Santa’s Winter Wonderland Ball” in the atrium lobby. In this short show, cruisers welcome the guests of honor, Santa and Mrs. Claus. The show is a grand celebration featuring Broadway-style entertainment, favorite Disney characters, and classic holiday tunes. This evening is made complete when a particular pair of royal sisters joins the party and causes a flurry of “frozen” fun as a magical snowfall overtakes the atrium.

6 – Dickens-Inspired Carolers

Throughout the cruise, be on the lookout for Dickens-inspired carolers. They carry the spirit of the holidays throughout the ship while singing holiday classics, sometimes with the help of favorite Disney friends. At the end of the cruise, children will have the opportunity to join the carolers onstage for a special farewell show.

7 – Family Holiday Activities

During the cruise, there are plenty of holiday activities for the whole family to enjoy. Chad and our daughter had a lot of fun decorating Christmas cookies. Santa Claus is also available in the atrium for holiday photos with guests. Finally, children and teens have holiday-themed activities in the youth clubs such as decorating stockings and gingerbread men cookies, making holiday cards and creating holiday animation cells.

9 – Holiday Greetings with Disney Characters

A highlight for many during a Disney cruise is the opportunity to meet your favorite Disney characters. Throughout the cruise, the characters will appear in different outfits. On embarkation day, you’ll usually find Mickey and the gang in their cruising outfits. On Castaway Cay, you’ll find them wearing holiday island attire. During a Very Merrytime Cruise, you’ll be able to meet them in holiday outfits as well! It was so much fun going around the ship to meet them and get pictures. Their outfits are really unique, so a photo with them an extra special keepsake to take home.

10 – Holiday Merchandise

No Disney vacation is complete without shopping for some merchandise, right? Disney Cruise Line offers a wide variety of items with different themes to guests. During our holiday cruise, I was most looking forward to seeing the Very Merrytime Cruise merchandise items, and I wasn’t disappointed. For the holiday season, they created a small holiday shop. Disney Dream’s Merchandise Manager told us that this was the first year they had dedicated store for the holiday items. You’ll find some items from the parks, but many items are exclusive to the Disney Cruise Line. One difference between shopping on your cruise and shopping at Walt Disney World is that on the ship, they are limited in how much inventory they can store. When something sells out, it will not be restocked during your cruise. So, if you see something you like early in your cruise, best get it then. Disney Cruise Line takes Disney Gift Cards. Disney Vacation Club members receive a 10% discount.

11 – Storytime with Mrs. Claus

On the last day of our cruise, we were able to enjoy Storytime with Mrs. Claus. There was a great turnout. Many children were eager to hear from Mrs. Claus, who was sitting in her rocking chair in front of the Christmas tree in the lobby atrium. She read-aloud two stories, “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” and “The Night Before Christmas.” At the end of the storytime, Mrs. Claus was joined by some surprise guests: Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy! There was a brief time of mixing and mingling with the characters for photos, including Mrs. Claus herself. It’s a lovely holiday offering, especially for young children.

12 – See Ya Real Soon

On the final night of every Disney cruise, you can enjoy a short farewell show, ‘See Ya Real Soon,’ in the lobby atrium. We enjoyed a special holiday edition of the cheerful farewell celebration with beloved Disney characters and the ship’s crew in a musical finale led by Mickey Mouse. The end of a Disney cruise is always so sad, but the final show makes it a bit easier to say goodbye!

13 – Thanksgiving Day Extras

If your cruise includes Thanksgiving Day, you will enjoy a bountiful Thanksgiving Day feast and visits from Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse dressed in traditional Thanksgiving attire. Also, during the special Thanksgiving voyages, NFL football games will be broadcast live on the ships’ outdoor, jumbo LED screens – Funnel Vision – located near the family pool.

14 – Christmas Day Extras

On Christmas morning at the atrium lobby tree, Santa Claus and his helpers will have a surprise for all the kids, and you’ll enjoy an exceptional musical performance from the children. A traditional Christmas dinner is served that night in the dining rooms. Christmas services will be held on Christmas Day with a midnight mass on Christmas Eve. Hanukkah services will be held for eight days, beginning on the 25th day of Kislev.

15 – Overall Thoughts

We really enjoyed our Very Merrytime Cruise. The ship was beautiful, and the holiday-themed extras were fun and added extra magic to our cruise. We always love greeting the characters in unique outfits, and so we were thrilled to get photos with them in unique outfits. We would love to sail over Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day one year. I can only imagine how magical waking up on the ship on Christmas morning would be. Disney Cruise Line To Celebrate ‘Silver Anniversary’ With Special 2023 Summer Sailings

It was July 1998 that the first Disney Cruise Line (DCL) ship, the Disney Magic, took its maiden voyage, and to commemorate that 25th anniversary, there will be special “Silver Anniversary” sailings in Summer 2023.

The Details

On select sailings from May through September of 2023, there will be special “Silver Anniversary at Sea” entertainment, merchandise, and celebratory experiences for guests to experience.

Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie will sport dazzling new ensembles as seen above. DCL says their coordinated looks will feature swirling designs reminiscent of ocean waves and multi-toned fabric in the signature color of the celebration: Shimmering Seas.

Special themed food and drink will be created for these sailings, including desserts, craft cocktails, and more.

A new signature song has also been created especially for the “Silver Anniversary at Sea,” to commemorate the milestone.

And of course there will be plenty of merchandise to purchase in the new Shimmering Seas Collection, a special line of dedicated merchandise featuring the new signature color. The collection will include an assortment of apparel, accessories, drinkware, and more.

“For two-and-a-half decades, Disney Cruise Line has built an incredible legacy of creating unforgettable vacation memories for families around the world,” said Sharon Siskie, senior vice president and general manager, Disney Cruise Line.

“Of course, at the heart of this anniversary celebration are our dedicated cast and crew members who continuously deliver legendary service and create magic at sea for our guests every day. Whether returning as a member of our Castaway Club or sailing with us for the first time, we are thrilled to invite guests of all ages to be a part of our very special anniversary festivities next summer.”

The anniversary of Disney Cruise Line also brings a brand-new membership tier for Castaway Club, which recognizes returning Disney Cruise Line guests with exclusive rewards and perks.

Honoring 25 years of Disney magic at sea, members will now earn the distinction of Pearl status after 25 Disney Cruise Line vacations.

DCL says as the line’s biggest fans, Pearl members will unlock new at-home and onboard benefits, which will be announced in early 2023.

The Sailings

Several of the ships will host “Silver Anniversary at Sea” over the summer, and they include:

• Disney Magic: On sailings departing from Miami from May 24 to Sept. 4, the ship will visit destinations in the Bahamas and Caribbean, including Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.
• Disney Wonder: The ship will depart on Alaskan voyages from Vancouver, Canada May 15 to Sept. 11, with stops in Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan and more.
• Disney Dream: From May 7 to Sept. 17, the ship will sail transatlantic and European itineraries, including the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and the Greek Isles.
• Disney Fantasy: Sailing from Port Canaveral, Florida, from May 6 to Sept. 2, to the Eastern and Western Caribbean, each with a day at Castaway Cay.
• Disney Wish : DCL’s newest ship will depart on sailings to Nassau, Bahamas and Castaway Cay May 1 to Sept. 8 from Port Canaveral.

Your in-room birthday celebration package comes with an adorable storage box, which is collapsible to make it easy to put in your suitcase to take home as a souvenir.  Also included is a cute Mickey beach towel, and a large necktie to wear proudly around the ship!

Possibly my favorite item in the package is this dry erase board.  This is a great way to leave messages for your cabin mates.   “Watching a movie on Funnel Vision!” “gone to take photos with Princesses!”, or “went to get an ice cream cone!”   Have fun with it!

The character  decorations hanging from the ceiling create a festive mood in your stateroom.

You might even keep them up for your entire cruise.  How cute is Sailor Mickey!?

At the end of your cruise, pack everything up so you can use them again at home for another celebration!  This cute in-room birthday celebration package and other options can be purchased online at least 3 days prior to sailing.

6 Ways to Celebrate Your Special Occasion While on a Disney Cruise

For most of us opting to go on a Disney Cruise, saving and planning and finally taking the leap is such a momentous process that it’s not uncommon for families to plot out these special journeys to fall during important milestones.  From birthdays and anniversaries to graduations and other personal triumphs, these incredible voyages at sea provide the perfect setting for those big moments.  Though a cruise with Disney is certainly celebration enough, there are other ways you can make those milestones even more special.  Here are our suggestions on 6 ways to celebrate your special day while aboard a Disney Cruise.

1. Say it with a Celebration Cake – Guests can opt to have a Disney Cruise Line speciality cake delivered to your stateroom or dining room as a special onboard surprise.  Cakes can be customized in a wide variety of sizes, flavors and icings to create a bespoke masterpiece for your special someone.  Cakes must be ordered 7-days before setting sail.  The cakes start at $25.00.  As of going to print, Mickey is the only character available.  Guests should also note that cake delivery is not available at Palo or Remy.  Cake order forms can be found directly on the Disney Cruise Line website here .

Have your stateroom decorated – Disney Cruise Line offers a fun array of stateroom decoration packages that you can be pre-arranged as a special surprise.  Two of our favorite packages are the Birthday Wishes package which starts at $57 and includes a Mickey-themed beach towel, storage cube, dry erase/memo stateroom door magnet and stateroom decoration set.  Or for fans of Nemo and friends, there’s the Finding Dory  room package which features eight hanging garlands, a centrepiece, soft PVC picture frame, a blanket and pillow, mirror cling and door magnet.  The cost for this package is $67.00.  In addition, there are a wide variety of other options available from fruit baskets to romance packages.  See the complete list here .

Pirate and Princess Makeovers at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique –  If your little one is celebrating a birthday while at sea, why not surprise them with one of the amazing makeovers at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.  This whimsical shop offers Princess and Mermaid Makeovers that range from $64 – $199 depending on the package or Pirate Makeovers that run anywhere from $44 – $100 per guest.  Unlike the theme parks, I find that you can get a lot of use out of these outfits.  The Mermaid Makeovers come with a two-piece swimsuit that your little ones can splash about in on the beach or one of the ship’s pools.  Most itineraries also offer special Pirate Nights where families are encouraged to dress up like scallywags and hit the decks which means the pirate costumes really come in handy! Makeovers can be booked in the same time as your port adventures.  We recommend early booking as slots can fill up quickly.

4. Have a romantic night without the kids at Palo or Remy –  Perfect for those looking for a romantic meal free from the kids, both of these incredible restaurants offer Fine “Adults Only” Dining experiences that you’ll be talking about for years to come! Remy can be found aboard the Disney Dream or the Disney Fantasy with a menu that focuses on classic French Cuisine.  You’ll find Palo on all four of Disney’s cruise ships.  Here you’ll find an impressive array of Italian dishes.  Both restaurants offer dinner service as well as various tasting options throughout your cruise.  Reservations here do come at a cost and should be made in advance.  Visitors can expect to pay anywhere from $30 upwards per person.

5. Treat your special someone to a day of pampering –  Treat the one you love to the ultimate day of relaxation by booking in a treatment at Senses Spa.  Here you’ll find an incredible range of treatments from traditional Swedish massages to facials, body wraps as well as manicures, pedicures and other salon services.  Or, for those traveling with teenagers, there is Chill Spa, a special spa for those between the ages of 13-17.   Chill Spa offers the same eclectic array of treatments as well as special  Mother/Daughter and Father/Son packages that provide the perfect way to relax and bond! Treatments can be booked in advance or you can visit the spa on embarkation day starting at 1:00 pm where you’ll often find last-minute discounts and free add-ons.

6. Let the staff know for some special onboard surprises – If you’re celebrating a special occasion while at sea our biggest suggestion is to not keep it a secret.  Let your travel agent or the Disney Cruise Line staff know up to 3 weeks prior to sailing. Disney cruise line to celebrate 25 years with ‘silver anniversary at sea’ offerings, happening on cruises beginning may 2023.

CELEBRATION, Fla. – Disney Cruise Line is preparing to celebrate a magical milestone onboard its ships come next year.

For a limited-time next year, the company will celebrate its 25th anniversary, bringing “Silver Anniversary at Sea” entertainment, merchandise and celebratory experiences to select summer sailings from May through September.

“For two-and-a-half decades, Disney Cruise Line has built an incredible legacy of creating unforgettable vacation memories for families around the world,” said Sharon Siskie, senior vice president and general manager of Disney Cruise Line. “Of course, at the heart of this anniversary celebration are our dedicated cast and crew members who continuously deliver legendary service and create magic at sea for our guests every day. Whether returning as a member of our Castaway Club or sailing with us for the first time, we are thrilled to invite guests of all ages to be a part of our very special anniversary festivities next summer.”

During the celebration, Captains Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse will sport new shimmering outfits that feature multi-toned fabrics and swirling designs reminiscent of ocean waves.

Disney Cruise Line said families will experience new evening entertainment and activities and hear an all-new signature song that will serve as the soundtrack of the celebration. While dining in various locations around the ships, the company said guests will have the chance to try special anniversary culinary creations including delightful desserts and craft cocktails.

Guests can commemorate Disney Cruise Line’s “Silver Anniversary at Sea” with the Shimmering Seas Collection, a line of dedicated merchandise featuring a new signature color. Inspired by the magical glow of sunshine reflecting upon turquoise waters, the Shimmering Seas Collection will include an assortment of apparel, accessories, drinkware, keepsakes and more, leaders said.

With the 25th anniversary, Disney Cruise Line also announced Monday a brand-new membership tier for Castaway Club, which recognizes returning Disney Cruise Line guests with exclusive rewards and perks. Members will now earn the distinction of Pearl status after 25 Disney Cruise Line vacations. As the line’s biggest fans, Pearl members will unlock new at-home and onboard benefits, which will be announced early next year.

In Central Florida, guests can take part in the experience by boarding the Disney Fantasy or the all-new ship, the Disney Wish , from Port Canaveral. The Disney Fantasy will set sail May 6 to Sept. 2 to the eastern and western Caribbean, each cruise will have a day at Castaway Cay. The Disney Wish will depart on sailings to Nassau, Bahamas and Castaway Cay from May 1 to Sept. 8.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team of program managers, portfolio managers, and project managers. The candidate will be responsible for the analysis of business processes, requirements gathering, and solution development to drive business growth and efficiency. The Senior Business Analyst will collaborate with a magnitude of internal & external partners to understand program needs, strategic direction, and ensure initiative delivery. This role is positioned to assist with department-wide change across the Technology & Digital organization to achieve our strategic goals.

This position requires a strategic problem solver with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and persuading peers and leaders to adopt new insights, strategies, and initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of organizational dynamics and be able to navigate relationships to influence decision-making.

If selected for this role, you will report to the Senior Manager, Portfolio Planning Management.

What You Will Do

Research and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that advise business decisions. Determine reporting capabilities that provide insights.

Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual forecast submission activities, understanding the objectives, process, data inputs, variances, etc for leadership report out.

Assist with defining scope and determine solutions to department challenges. Define compelling arguments and business cases to support proposed initiatives.

Evaluate and maintain project plans, timelines, and ultimately budgets. Ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Target and mitigate issues that may impact initiative and department success; Address potential objections or concerns from department leaders.

Partner with cross-functional internal teams (portfolio managers, project managers) & external partners (finance, software engineers, database admins, server admins, product managers, etc) to define initiative scope, goals, key performance indicators (KPI), outcomes and deliverables.

Gather, document, and prioritize requirements for highly complex solutions. Translate requirements into functional designs for development, testing and implementation.

Partners with peers or the business to gather and document requirements (functional and nonfunctional), using techniques such as workshop facilitation, document analysis, onsite walkthroughs / shadowing, use case creation, scenario modeling, and task/workflow analysis.

Monitor and communicate project status, issues, and risks to partners, management and community of practice.

Document current-state and recommend strategies to improve program & project processes and the portfolio practice.

Collaborate with partners on the evaluation of the feasibility, effort and costs to implement requirements.

Evaluate impacting business rules, functional requirements and specifications.

Participate in the community of practice by providing strategic input on portfolio, project & program management standard processes. Monitor industry trends and standard processes to advise influencing strategies.

Act as a change agent, participating and promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement for the program. Ensures the benefits, impact and release of all changes are supervised, managed, and communicated to relevant partners.

Provides subject matter expertise on the business unit and associated processes and systems to all relevant team members.

Ability to be ambiguous in an ever-changing environment.

Required Qualifications & Skills

5+ years proven experience as a Program or Business Analyst

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

Strong leadership and time management skills

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Experience with change management principles

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint

Understanding of software development tools such as JIRA, Confluence, etc.

Familiarity with big data / visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau and the core concepts of relational data

Experience with business analysis tools and application development methodologies

Knowledge of project management principles and practices; Software Development lifecycle (SDLC)

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA)

Experience with Agile methodologies

Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.

Experience in the Technology industry or domain, working with financial partners

Bachelor's degree in Technology, Business, Finance, related field or equivalent work experience.

Disney announces where its cruise ships will be sailing during late-2025, early-2026

Disney Cruise Line is preparing to debut its new cruise ship, the Treasure, at Port Canaveral later this year.

But it also is planning ahead as far as 2026, with the cruise line's latest announcement of ship schedules out of Port Canaveral and other ports.

Disney's just-released ship schedules for October 2025 through May 2026 ― Disney's winter and spring cruise seasons ― shows that the cruise line will have three ships based on Port Canaveral during that time.

Disney currently bases two ships at Port Canaveral — the Fantasy and the Wish. But it will have three, starting when the Treasure starts sailing in December.

Here are the newly announced plans and itineraries for Disney ships that will be based at Port Canaveral:

• The 2,713-passenger Disney Magic will have four- and five-night sailings from Port Canaveral to the Bahamas in October 2025, before switching home ports to San Juan, Puerto Rico, at the end of October, then to Galveston, Texas, in November 2025.
• The 4,000-passenger Disney Fantasy will sail out of Port Canaveral on three-, four- and five-night cruises to the Bahamas starting in November 2025, replacing the Magic on the port's schedule. Before coming to Port Canaveral, the Fantasy will offer a special 13-night trans-Atlantic cruise sailing leaving Oct. 20, 2024, from Southampton, England, to Port Canaveral, with two port-of-call stops in Spain and one in Portugal.
• The 4,000-passenger Disney Treasure will offer seven-night cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean from Port Canaveral.
• The 4,000-passenger Disney Wish will offer three- and four-night cruises to the Bahama from Port Canaveral.

All the cruises out of Port Canaveral will include a port-of-call stop at one or both of Disney's private islands in the Bahamas — Castaway Cay and the new Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, which had its first port-of-call visits this month.

"That's a lot of options out of Port Canaveral," said Scott Sanders, owner of the Celebration-based Disney Cruise Line Blog , which is not affiliated with Disney itself.

The Fantasy and the Magic will be switching places at Port Canaveral. The Fantasy currently is based at Port Canaveral, but will leave in May 2025, replaced by the Magic, before the Fantasy returns in November 2025.

The addition of a third Disney ship at Port Canaveral at the end of this year means Disney will be using two cruise terminals there, rather than one. Currently, when they are in port, Disney ships dock at Cruise Terminal 8, a terminal primarily used by Disney. But the third home-ported ship will result in Disney also using Cruise Terminal 10, which now currently is used primarily by MSC and Norwegian.

This is where Disney's two other ships will be during the fall 2025 to spring 2026 time frame:

• The 2,713-passenger Disney Wonder will have multiple home ports, including Vancouver, British Columbia; Honolulu; Sydney and Melbourne, Australia; Auckland, New Zealand; and San Diego.
• The 4,000-passenger Disney Dream will sail out of Fort Lauderdale's Port Everglades with three-, four- and five-night sailings to the Bahamas, as well as five-night sailings to the Western Caribbean.

Disney will offer themed holiday sailings on some of it 2025 cruises, with Halloween on the High Seas cruises in September and October, then Very Merrytime sailings in November and December.

Bookings for the general public will open Friday for the winter 2024 through spring 2025 Disney cruises. Bookings for members of various Disney Cruise Line clubs open earlier this week.

Sanders said it is unusual for Disney to announce cruise ship schedules for two seasons at once. But he believes that is related to Disney planning a special announcement with the next few months about itineraries for two other Disney ships now under construction that will joining the fleet in 2025 ― the Disney Adventure and the Disney Destiny.

The 6,000-passenger Adventure will sail out of Singapore. Disney acquire that ship — partially built and then known as the Global Dream — from another cruise company. No home port has been announced for the 4,000-passenger Destiny.
