Reading questions in his own category, Jon Bon Jovi rocks 'Jeopardy!'

2 minute read.

Name the New Jersey rock superstar who had his own category and also appeared on the Monday, June 17, episode of “Jeopardy!”

Who is Jon Bon Jovi?

The Sayreville native appeared on “Jeopardy!” — and current champ Adriana Harmeyer, an archivist from Indiana, was ready to rock 'n' roll. She answered all five Bon Jovi questions correctly in the Jeopardy Round. They were read by Bon Jovi, in a brown leather jacket, on video:

“In 2000, 'It's My Life' took us back to the top of the charts. In the song, I refer to this man, born 30 miles from where I was. A role model as a singer who later got into acting and, like he said, I did it my way.” Answer: Frank Sinatra for $200.

“In 1989, we flew over the Iron Curtain to play a concert in Moscow with Motley Crew, Skid Row and others, including this legend.” Answer: Ozzy Osbourne for $400.

“It was at the house (in Woodbridge) where Richie Sambora was still living with his mom and dad that we wrote about life on road. For the record, the steel horse we rode was our tour bus.” Answer: “Wanted Dead or Alive” for $600.

More: Is Jon Bon Jovi's Funko Pop! the ultimate tribute to 80s rock?

“I wrote 'Blaze of Glory' for Emilio Estevez's character in the sequel to this 1988 Western. I even had a cameo as an inmate who, as fate would have it, was shot through the heart.” Answer: “Young Guns” for $800.

“I love Elvis so it was a big deal to meet this man. He was Elvis' manager and he had an unforgettable question for ours (Doc McGhee): How do you make money on five of them here Bon Jovis?” Answer: Col. Tom Parker for $1,000.

Host Ken Jennings thanked Bon Jovi and plugged the “Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story” documentary, which debuted April 26 on Hulu. Harmeyer led the pack going into the Final round, and squeaked by with a right answer to win her 14th game in a row, giving people with Bon Jovi smarts a good name.

The new Bon Jovi album “Forever” debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard album chart, the industry journal announced on June 16.
