How To Get Power Trip Festival Tickets For 2023

Power Trip Festival put a call out to all hard rock fans yesterday, March 29, with a teaser video asking, “Are you ready for a Power Trip?” The concert poster crafted in the video was really cool but vague, and today, March 30, Power Trip painted a clearer picture by confirming its headliners (first reported by Variety ): Guns N’ Roses , Iron Maiden , AC/DC , Ozzy Osbourne , Metallica , and Tool .

The inaugural Power Trip Festival is scheduled for October 6 to 8, 2023.

According to the original Variety report, Power Trip comes from Goldenvoice, founders of Coachella , which explains the location: Empire Polo Field in Indio, California.

“Despite the Coachella connection, the festival is more like a hard rock version of Goldenvoice’s 2016 Desert Trip festival, which featured a classic-rock dream team of Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, the Who and Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters,” Variety relayed.

Osbourne’s involvement is particularly notable because he announced his retirement from touring in February due to ongoing physical ailments.

The official Power Trip website provides instructions to register now for ticket access. “Sale only available to those who register,” it reads. Tickets will become available beginning on Thursday, April 6, at 10 a.m. PST. The starting price for general admission tickets is $599, per the website.

Hotel packages and VIP packages ($1,749) are also available for purchase beginning next Tuesday, April 4, at 10 a.m. PST.

Power Trip tickets go on sale today, here's what you need to know

Ready to bang your head at the Power Trip festival in October? The day has come to buy tickets for the fall festival.

The festival, which features a lineup of hard rock legends Guns N' Roses, AC/DC and Metallica, will be held Oct. 6-8 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, home of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Here's what you need to know.

When and where can I buy tickets?

Tickets for the festival go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday at powertrip.live . Hotel and VIP packages are already availale. Fans can register now at that website to "access tickets" then. The website says tickets will initially be available only to those who register.

It was not immediately clear if the announced bands constitute the entire lineup or if other additions were still to be announced. However, a lineup consisting of two bands each night would mirror that of Desert Trip, the 2016 classic rock festival held at Empire Polo Club in 2016 that Power Trip's name seems to be a clear nod to.

Is this going to break the bank?

As anyone who has been to Coachella or Stagecoach surely expected, attending the festival won't come cheap and will require buying a wristband covering all three days. In fact, getting into the event will cost more than going to Coachella, according to ticket prices posted online.

The cheapest general admission wristbands, which include access to the festival and parking lot, are $649. For comparison, that's $21 more than the similar general admission wristband for Weekend 2 of Coachella currently being sold on that festival's website.

Unlike the annual Empire Polo Club festivals, Power Trip will have specific floor, grandstand and pit areas. A wristband with reserved floor seating starts at about $875 while those for the pit begin at $1,750. Those passes also offer access to two "lounge areas" of the festival, although the website explains the lounge won't have a view of the stage.

The festival is also selling several VIP packages that include access to the lounge areas, as well as VIP merchandise. The starting price for those packages is $1,749 to $2,999. VIP packages for Coachella currently start at $1,199.

As with the other festivals, camping will be available on site. A car camping spot starts at $234.87 for the weekend, while the cheapest RV spot goes for $1,404.87.

Have any of the Power Trip artists played Coachella?

Even though the lineup features metal, most of the bands have performed at Coachella in previous years.

Tool performed at the first Coachella in 1999 and again as headliners in 2006. Frontman Maynard James Keenan has also performed at the festival with his side projects Puscifer in 2013 and A Perfect Circle in 2018.

AC/DC’s 2015 headlining performances came with some baggage. Co-founder and guitarist Malcolm Young officially left the band due to receive treatment for dementia, which was the cause of his death two years later. Drummer Phil Rudd was charged with possession of methamphetamine and cannabis a few months earlier and was replaced by Chris Slade.

Still, the Australian rock band won the crowd over. Horned-hands were thrown in the air, heads were banged, and the crowd shouted at all the right times.

When Guns N’ Roses headlined in 2016, it was the first time the reunited lineup featuring frontman Axl Rose with guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan performed at an outdoor festival together in 23 years.

The band played an epic two-and-a-half hour set both weekends, and Rose was forced to perform while seated in a throne loaned to him by Dave Grohl due to a broken foot.

Axl Rose also came out as a special guest during Carrie Underwood's 2022 Stagecoach headlining set.

Single-day tickets for Outside Lands go on sale after daily line-up announcement

Single-day tickets for the annual Outside Lands music festival at San Francisco's Golden Gate Park went on sale Thursday, a day after the line-ups for each day of the festival were announced.

Back in April , festival organizers announced that headliners would include rapper Tyler, the Creator, alternative rock band The Killers, and country singer-songwriter Sturgill Simpson, who will be playing his first full set in three years and revisiting his breakout album  Meta Modern Sounds In Country Music  to mark its 10th anniversary. The festival also revealed that Post Malone will perform a special country set.

Festival promoter Another Planet Entertainment released the daily breakdown on Wednesday via posts on social media.

Rock band the Killers will be headlining the first night of the festival on Friday, August 9th, with Canadian singer-songwriter Daniel Caesar, British dance music producers Jungle, well-known DJ Gryffin and indie band Young the Giants among the other acts performing that day.

On Saturday night, hip-hop star Tyler, the Creator will close out the main stage, while indie-rockers The Postal Service, club icon Grace Jones, Aussie punk rockers Amyl and the Sniffers and rapper Schoolboy Q playing earlier. 

Country singer Sturgill Simpson tops the bill on the final night of the festival on Sunday, August 11th, with a schedule that includes producer/rapper Kaytranada, Run the Jewels MC Killer Mike, UK shoegaze band Slowdive and the aforementioned country set by Post Malone.

Single-day tickets went on sale Thursday morning at 10 a.m.

If you're wondering how much you'll have to shell out for a one-day ticket, general admission starts at nearly $200 and VIP tickets will cost you nearly $470 dollars, before fees. There are also still limited 3-day tickets along with more details on the festival available at the Outside Lands website .

The nightlife scene in Moscow is varied, and long gone are the days when the only kind of venues in operation were luxury establishments guarded by stern-looking bouncers. Although some places still enforce FC/DC, many are now leaning towards a more casual approach to entry - the recent decade has seen a rise in the number of casual bars modelled after hip urban haunts of West European capitals. Wine bars, craft breweries, bohemian cafes, indie bars, and glitzy nightclubs are all to be found in abundance, spread throughout the city's many neighbourhoods. In order to satisfy the wishes of Moscow's well-off upper middle classes, many chic designer stores have opened their stores in Moscow. Today there is definitely a risk that tourists will return home with considerably more expensive souvenirs than fur hats and Russian "matryoshka" dolls, which are readily available throughout - a good place to start browsing for these is the souvenir market right next to the Red Square.

The city's third and most compact airport, Vnukovo is located approximately 28 kilometres southwest of the city centre. The air hub is best reached by Aeroexpress trains departing from the Kievskaya Railway Station. Several mini-buses also run here from Yugo-Zapadnaya metro station (south end of the red line).

Sheremetyevo International Airport

The largest international airport in Moscow is Sheremetyevo International Airport, located 30 kilometres from the city centre. The easiest and fastest way to reach any of Moscow's three major airports is by Aeroexpress - a fast train designated for air travelers (train departs from Belorussky Railway Station). The train ride takes 35 minutes. Another way to get here is by taxi. At the airport you can order taxis at the operator desk. You can usually book a taxi in advance through the hotel or travel agency when going to the airport. Alternatively, there are different bus routes. The buses take about 30-70 minutes depending on the route and your final destination. When traveling by car or bus, do keep in mind that rush hour traffic may sometimes be very dense, and significant delays are possible.

Domodedovo International Airport

Another large airport in Moscow is Moscow Domodedovo Airport. The airport is located 22 kilometres away from the city. You can also reach the airport from Domodedovskaya underground station by mini-bus or bus and from Paveletsky railway station by train. The train from Paveletsky railway station takes 40-50 minutes going on the Aeroexpress train, and 1 hour and 10 minutes on the commuter train. The express buses and shuttles from Domodedovskaya underground station take 25-30 minutes and leave every 15 minutes. Buses run from 6am-12am. Taxis can be ordered at the domestic and international arrivals hall. There are car rental services at the airport.

Moscow has one of the world’s most beautiful underground railways which operates very efficiently. If you carry big luggage on the metro, make sure you buy a special luggage ticket. Tickets can be bought at station entrances - either at vending machines or special staffed kiosks.If you plan to use the metro multiple times during your stay, it makes sense to purchase a top-up card called "Troika".

Inside Mimosa City: Baltimore's Festival Celebrating Black Brunch Culture

Mimosa City Festival is a champagne and culture centered experience celebrating Maryland’s incredible food and wine industry.

Two HBCU alumni are putting on what they call a “brunch utopia.” They’re doing this in a region of the country that taught them how to brunch correctly and where the Black community singlehandedly transformed the brunch experience worldwide.

Mimosa City Festival is a champagne and culture-centered experience celebrating Maryland’s incredible food and wine industry. It also celebrates Black culture, businesses, and community.

Morgan State University alums Tarrance Taylor and A. Thomas Lampkin remembers the OG brunch experience in Washington, D.C. – a time before the outside was expensive, before bottomless mimosas, tables had a time limit, and before it cost a few limbs.

“Brunch started getting really popular in Washington, D.C., in 2013 and 2014. This was when Gryphon, Ozio, Decades, and so many other places started getting popular,” Taylor tells Travel Noire. “ It was a really cool experience. I really loved the idea and the atmosphere of celebration.”

After graduating, Taylor, who’s a DJ, carried that spirit of celebration with him throughout the cities he’s traveled to for Mimosa City club events. Taylor traveled to Washington, D.C. , Philadelphia, New York City, and even Jamaica, bringing each city the ultimate brunch and day party experience.

The Mimosa City Festival is a full-circle moment for Lampkin and Taylor as they return to Baltimore for the inaugural festival. It will be held next to the building where Taylor hosted the first-ever Mimosa City experience.

“Baltimore is a second home and the place where Mimosa City started. I wanted the city to have its own thing,” says Taylor. “The people of Baltimore are amazing, and when you show them love, they show you love back. I thought this was an amazing opportunity to show them the loving that they deserve.”

Mimosa City Festival Proving Baltimore Shouldn’t Be Overlooked

This brunch utopia will include the essentials for the ultimate brunch experience: mimosas, food, and music.

It’s a celebration of Black culture and community , an expression of love, and it’s also a reflection on how dull the world would be without the influences and contributions of Black people.

 “For millennials and the younger generation on the cusp of being a millennial, there was a desire and need for a good time and to enjoy ourselves,” says Lampkin. “We have really elevated and evolved what brunch is today, even creating a style behind how we brunch. I honestly think we’re a better society for it.”

Mimosa City Festival will feature mimosas, of course, and brunch-inspired cocktails. Lampkin and Thomas also teamed up with Morgan State Alumni Dash The Chef for a delectable menu to pair your brunch cocktail with. Along with live cooking demonstrations by Chef Dash, there will be games, art installations from local artists, mimosa drinking contests, four DJ sets, and other surprises as well. 

There are two different ticket options. The general admission ticket gives people access to the festival and allows them to explore the grounds inside and outside the venue. The GA ticket gives people access to a dedicated cash bar, bottle service, and vendors.

If you have the extra cash to spare, the VIP ticket is where it’s at.  Guests will get everything the GA ticket grants access, plus all access to the Mimosa Lounge Premium Stage, complimentary meals and mimosas from a private chef, food activations, an exclusive VIP bar, and the curated cocktail menu.

Archstoyanie Festival (July 26-28)

One of the most remarkable festivals in Russia, Archstoyanie is a land art event which takes place in the Kaluga region, 200 km from Moscow at Nikola Lenivets , which is a beautiful architecture park in the middle of nature.

Archstyoanie spans across several villages, fields and forests of the Ugra national park. There’s a different theme each year, which participating artists and architects must reflect in their objects. They can only use natural materials which are available in that region. After presentation most of the objects become an interactive playground. This year the festival will unite 321 participants and one of the main act will be an installation of the monumental architectural piece “Ugruan” while new sounds of music are being born during the days of the event. Five new operas will be presented in different picturesque locations. Archstyoanie is a unique festival where you can reunite with nature deep in the forest and participate in art process at the same time.

There is also a kid’s version of the festival from June 28th to 30th where families can camp in the woods and fields with their kids while later take various exciting and handy workshops.

Another special feature of the festival is the accomodation: unique houses of abstract forms made out of wood with the glass walls, a fireplace, and sustainable design. One can choose different style of the housing depends on the budget. For low-cost travelers there is a camping site equipped with a field kitchen.

How to get there:  There are multiple choices of transportation: train from Kievsky train station to Obninsk and from there take a taxi, bla bla car, a car sharing , or a bus from the stop near subway station Teplii Stan to Kondrovo and then also by taxi. Music festivals coming to Southern California in 2024

Southern California is alive with the sound of punk, techno, R&B, country and more in 2024.

This year has already seen major events such as the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival and its country music counterpart, Stagecoach , both held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio over consecutive weekends in April. Long Beach Jazz Festival 

The 35th annual Long Beach Jazz Festival will bring together award-winning artists of Jazz, Latin, and R&B to create a diverse three-day symphony of music genres. This year’s set list has yet to be announced, but it will be released in the coming weeks.

Basscon Wasteland

The annual hard dance music festival is making its way back to San Bernardino with Audiofreq, Ben Nicky, Code Black, Coone, Domina, Hpnotic, Kutski, Link, Radical Redemption, Bioweapon, Creeds, Darren Styles and Dead X taking over the decks.

Fool In Love 

The inaugural R&B and soul fest Fool In Love will take place at Hollywood Park in Inglewood on Saturday, Aug. 31 with headliners Lionel Richie and Diana Ross. Zedd In The Park

Multi-platinum global superstar Zedd announced the fourth edition of his famed Zedd In The Park presented by Insomniac. Back for the first time since 2022, the event is set to feature EDM sets, games, a special VIP area, art installations, multiple food trucks, and much more. The official lineup is set to be released in the coming weeks.

I Love RnB Festival

The three-day waterfront music, art, and wellness festival will return to Lake Perris. Workshops will include meditation, yoga, arts and crafts, games, food, and music all day long. The setlist has yet to be announced.

The Eddie Vedder-curated Ohana Festival is taking over Doheny State Beach in Dana Point with headliners Pearl Jam, Neil Young, and Alanis Morisette. Other acts include Garbage, Maren Morris, Crowded House, Crazy House, Turnpike Troubadors, Black Pumas, Idles, The Breeders, Ryan Beaty, among others.

Desert Daze

The psych-rock lakeside festival is finally returning to Lake Perris for three days of music and art. Each year, the festival brings together interactive art installations and screenings that can be found throughout the campgrounds. The 2024 lineup is still unknown, but attendees can anticipate a good mix of psychedelic rock and indie acts.

Escape Halloween

Insomniac’s mega Halloween party will include immersive production and spooky-themed activations and stages. The two-day lineup will be released within the following months.

Bésame Mucho

Bésame Mucho , the multi-generational, multi-genre Latino music fest, is returning to Dodger Stadium for its third year. The single-day event will include headliners Shakira, Enrique Iglesias and the norteño supergroup Los Tigres del Norte. Additional performances include a few returning acts along with debuts including Juanes, Hombres G, Paulina Rubio, Los Tucanes de Tijuana, Pancho Barraza, Pesado, Moenia, Elefante, Carlos Vives, Inspector, Kaia Lana, Lalo Mora, La Adictiva and more.

Insomniac’s Countdown 

Insomniac will be waving 2024 goodbye and ringing in the new year with its annual Countdown event with the out-of-this-world New Year’s Invasion theme. The lineup has yet to be announced, but the two-day event will feature several space-themed stages and last year included acts such as Alison Wonderland, Borgore, The Chainsmokers, Deadmau5 and more.
