Zion National Park Tour

Impressive views, incredible hikes, and endless outdoor activities are just a few of the memorable things to experience on a Zion National Park tour. This one-day tour takes you to the famous Zion Canyon in Southern Utah to explore for the day then returns you back to Las Vegas that night.

Why Choose Us?

Grand canyon tours by grand canyon destinations.

Grand Canyon tours  brokered through Grand Canyon Destinations offer an adventure tour experience that is as memorable as it is fun. We offer canyon tours from Las Vegas. The tours travel to the South and West Rim of the canyon as well as the Hoover Dam and  Zion National Park . All of the tour experiences travel in a well-equipped and comfortable fleet of tour buses or Sprinter vans.

The standard Grand Canyon tour companies use a driver and tour guide in one. This person then has to check guests in, narrate the tour, pass out lunches, answer questions, and drive a 40,000 pound vehicle safely. At Grand Canyon Destinations, we value safety and customer service. That is why the tours have a separate driver and tour guide on every tour bus. Your dedicated tour guide will be there to guide you, share facts and stories, answer your questions, and help you with any needs throughout the tour.

The Grand Canyon Tours

Grand Canyon tours  are available for small groups as well as large groups. Whether you plan to see the Hoover Dam or take one of the  Grand Canyon South Rim bus tours,  Grand Canyon Destinations can be your guide from Las Vegas. The best canyon tour company from Vegas means putting you first.

The transportations providers, tour guides, and phone agents will exceed your expectations when it comes to service and comfort. When taking one of the tours, you will find different ways to explore. The following information will fill you in on what to expect when visiting the  Grand Canyons West Rim  or booking one of the South Rim tours through our website.

Traveling In Comfort

When it comes to traveling, we know that you want to be comfortable. That is why the transportation provider makes this a priority by providing the comfortable fleet of vehicles. The large tour buses hold up to 55 passengers. Each bus has an on board restroom, head and foot rests, TVs for entertainment, and individually controlled air conditioning.  There is plenty of room to stand up as well as storage for bags and souvenirs.

A Grand Canyon tour bus

If you choose to take a small group South or West Rim tour, you will ride in a 12-passenger Mercedes Sprinter van. There is extra leg room and ceilings tall enough to stand in these vans as well. Having your own personal tour guide will allow your small group to customize your tour as well.

Small group Grand Canyon tours travel in a Mercedes Sprinter

  Guided Walking Grand Canyon Tours

Guided walking tours to the canyon are available too. These tours allow guests to learn about the history of the area along with desert animals and plants. Small tour groups can go by a 12-passenger, Mercedes Sprinter van to see all that a South Rim day tour has to offer. We travel to the more popular areas such as Grand Canyon National Park and the West Rim, as well as to scenic canyon areas in southern Utah. Whether you are traveling with your family, friends, or solo, we can help you find just the right option for a day trip from Las Vegas.

Tours To Grand Canyon National Park

You will love taking one of the Grand Canyon tours to the park, as you can plan this journey anytime. The park is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. While the South Rim is quite popular with tourists, the North Rim of the canyon is only open from the middle part of May to October. Therefore, North Rim tours are not as popular as a South Rim day trip or a West Rim bus tour.

Canyon Facts

Before you take one of the day trips from Las Vegas to the South Rim, it’s nice to know some facts about the canyon itself. The canyon is 277 miles in length. The Colorado River, at the canyon’s base, has carved out the rock of the canyon for about 6 million years. South Rim of the canyon became part of the US National Park system on February 26, 1919. Grand Canyon National Park is the second-most visited national park in the US after the Great Smoky Mountain National Park in Tennessee. The park sees about 6 million visitors annually.

For answers to more questions, such as, where is the Grand Canyon located, check out the  national park website .

How Long It Takes To Reach Your Destination

If you go on one of the Las Vegas tours by bus, it will take about 4.5 hours to get to the park entrance. That is why it leaves early in the morning at 6:00 am for the regular and rim VIP trips. We want you to be able to spend at least three hours inside the park once we reach the South Rim. From Las Vegas the park is about 280 miles away.

Travel Along Famous Route 66

The South Rim of the Grand Canyon is visited the most often of any location. You will love taking the rim day trip to the South Rim, as you don’t have to check in at a terminal, nor have to wait in line. Enjoy the desert-scape of the Mohave Desert, as one of the buses takes you to your destination along the famous Route 66.

Grand Canyon Village

One of the areas of the most well known areas is the Grand Canyon Village. This is one of the featured attractions of  Grand Canyon tours  and rim tours within the park. This trip from Las Vegas may be taken by a comfortable bus, as a guided walking tour, or as rim day trip for small or large groups.

Some Of The Rim Hotels

If you wish to spend a longer time in the park and not take one of the rim day trip excursions, you can arrange to stay at one of the rim hotels as part of your experience. One of the popular hotels on the South Rim is the historic El Tovar, which features 78 rooms. The Bright Angel Hotel feature 86 units. Two hotels that sit on the canyon’s rim include the Kachina Lodge and the Thunderbird Lodge. Therefore, you have several options if you don’t want to hurry back to Las Vegas.

How To Make The Most Of Your Time In The South Rim

You will find, once you enter Grand Canyon National Park, that three sections are part of the South Rim. These sections include Desert View Road, Hermit Road, and the Village. Each part offers a slightly different canyon experience when taking a South Rim day trip.

These sections are well known by travelers to the South Rim, unlike the areas of the North Rim. The North Rim is more remote and does not feature interactive buildings and activities. It is also closed in the winter time, which makes Grand Canyon North Rim tours rare journeys.

For example, you may want to rent a bicycle and bike along the 7-mile-long Hermit Road at the South Rim. Hermit Road begins at the Village and ends at the landmark of Hermit’s Rest. You can either bike or visit the viewpoints along the road by shuttle. The shuttle runs from March 1 until November 30. You must hike or take a bike from December to February. We recommend biking along the road, as it is easier than hopping on and off a shuttle, and much quicker than walking.

Popular South Rim Viewpoints

The viewpoints in the South Rim will give you some stunning views of the surrounding rockscape. Some of the popular venues include Mather Point, Yavapai Point, and Bright Angel Lodge. Mather Point can be seen at the beginning of a South Rim tour, while Yavapai point is at the halfway point on a walking tour, and Bright Angel Lodge is the ending point. All provide amazing and different views into the canyon.

View into the South Rim seen on Grand Canyon tours

Walking The South Rim Trail Of Time

You might also want to walk the South Rim Trail. This trail accommodates hikers and walkers of various skills and abilities, as most of the trail is paved and flat. The trail, which follows the perimeter of the rim, stretches 13 miles or 21 km from Hermit’s Rest to the South Kaibab trailhead. If you don’t want to walk all the 13 miles, you can always choose a small part of the trail to walk and use the shuttle part of the time.

Bright Angel Trail

One of the popular trails on the South Rim is the Bright Angel Trail. This trail, which is easily accessible, begins at Grand Canyon Village. Bright Angel Trail begins at the South Rim and finishes at Bright Angel Campground, close to the Colorado River. In total, the trail is about 9.5 miles in length and descends almost 4,400 feet. Like the South Rim Trail, you can hike part of the trail on one of the day trips, as it is difficult to walk the trail and come back in the same day. Therefore, we recommend that you hike part of the trail and turn around.

When you take one of our Las Vegas tours, you can make the trip extra special by adding some unique activities. As mentioned, the  Grand Canyon tours  are adaptable to allow you to add any excursions you are interested in. This may mean you want to include one of the airplane tours at the South Rim, which can be arranged if you book in advance. Seeing Bright Angel Lodge and the expansive South Rim of the canyon from an air tour is an incredible site to see. Keep in mind that many activities are not possible during a one-day tour. However, you can take a bus tour to the canyon, stay the night, and return the following day on a bus tour.

Whatever form your tour takes, we are here to help make the trip fun and memorable. Taking one of the tours and communicating with the tour guides makes day trip tours in Grand Canyon locations that much more memorable.

Shortening Your Excursion Along Bright Angel Trail

One of the hiking options you can take on a canyon day trip along Bright Angel Trail is walking 1.5 miles to the resthouse. The path is a 3-mile round trip that allows you to descend a switchback trail on the rim.

More ambitious hikers hike the Bright Angel Trail to the Indian Garden, which offers a 9-mile roundtrip adventure. After you pass the resthouse on this trail, the path levels out, although you are still descending down the trail. Don’t try to go past the Indian Garden in the summer, as the thermometer can read triple-digit Fahrenheit temperatures.

Plateau Point

If you choose to take the trail when it is cooler, you may pursue an adventure down Bright Angel Trail to Plateau Point. This 12-mile round-trip hike is beyond Indian Garden, and permits trail-goers to see a great view of the Colorado River.

A Tip For Hikers Who Hike Bright Angel Trail

One tip to remember when hiking the Bright Angel Trail is that going down the trail is much easier than returning, as you are walking up an incline. If you take the Bright Angel Trail, it is best to begin early, and arm yourself with plenty of water and salty snacks. You should also give yourself ample time to return from your hike, back to the rim. If you go on one of our day trips, you should pursue the 3-mile resthouse turnaround trail.

Visiting The IMAX Theater At The Visitor Center

If you want to forego hiking altogether, you can enjoy a movie at the IMAX theater in the park Visitors Center. The 34-minute Grand Canyon production may not be the same as seeing the canyon itself, but it will give you a good introduction to the canyon and its history. It also allows you to escape the heat in the summer in a comfortable, air-conditioned theater.

Visiting The Grand Canyon Skywalk At The West Rim

You can also experience tours to the West Rim and Skywalk. A Skywalk tour will take you to  Grand Canyon West , owned and inhabited by the Hualapai tribe. When taking a West Rim bus tour, you can travel on a fully equipped bus and take in the sights from panoramic windows. A West Rim guided tour is also available for day travelers. This type of trip is popular, as it permits visitors to interact and engage in the tour activity.

If you are vacationing with a small group in Las Vegas, ask about a VIP West Rim bus tour for small groups. The transportation provider can take up to 12 guests to the West Rim in a Mercedes Sprinter. One of the tour guides will serve as your personal tour escort.

Grand Canyon tours to the West Rim allow you to see the Colorado River here

Some Facts About The Skywalk

The Grand Canyon Skywalk is a must-see attraction at Grand Canyon West. The bridge is made of reinforced glass creating a see-through platform that allows visitors to see down to the canyon floor. Don’t worry about the sturdiness of the glass bridge. It can hold as many as 70 jets, fully loaded with travelers. Only 120 visitors are allowed on the bridge at one time.

Zion National Park And Hoover Dam

A tour can also take you to Zion National Park, located in Utah. This popular tour option allows you to explore Zion Canyon in Southern Utah in the day and return to Las Vegas at night. If you would like to take a short, half-day tour to the Hoover Dam, we also offer this tour. You can take an express tour or one of the classic Hoover Dam tours, which has an underground tour of the powerplant.

Unique Grand Canyon Activities

A rim bus tour may lead to the South Rim or West Rim. Grand Canyon tours can take various forms depending on what you would like to see and do. For example, you may want to schedule a mule ride as one of the activities on a canyon trip.

This type of pursuit must be scheduled well in advance, as it is one of the unique outdoor activities at the canyon. You just need to decide which hotel you want to include on your itinerary. You may wish to fly to the West Rim and view the Skywalk, or go toward the North Rim or South Rim on one of the Grand Canyon tours. We can customize a travel plan according to your needs and preferences when you take a tour. In addition to the regular excursions, we can also work with you to plan a personalized journey.

Other Travel Experiences

Considering how breathtaking the Grand Canyon is, it is easy to see why national park tours are such popular escapes from Las Vegas. Grand Canyon tours can also include the following activities:

  • Grand Canyon National park tours can be lead by a professional tour guides or led by rangers in the park.
  • A railway excursion into the park by an old-fashioned steam locomotive. This type of adventure tour is available during the summer months.
  • Grand Canyon Village is where you can see historic sites. You can take the shuttle or walk the length of the village, which has been proclaimed a historic landmark site.
  • Hoover Dam tours  are offered as half-day tours to the Hoover Dam.

Best Times To Visit

Grand Canyon Destinations can arrange to have you taken to Zion National Park, the Grand Canyon, or Hoover Dam. Peak season at the canyon are the summer months, leaving spring and fall less crowded times to visit. Not only is the weather more temperate, the number of people thin out during these times. If you travel from June to September, expect to see larger crowds.

By taking one of the tours, you can get to your destination without worrying about parking or access. A day trip to the South Rim or West Rim is always a fun travel choice from Las Vegas. It also gives you a break in your regular vacation routine.

A guest and a walking tour guide on a West Rim tour

What To Expect On A South Rim Or West Rim Journey

The travel time to the South Rim of the canyon is longer than to the West Rim. The tour buses leave around 6:00 AM for the South Rim. If you visit the West Rim, the tour bus will pick you up from or near your hotel at around 6:00 AM also due to the entrance lines getting busy later in the morning.

What To Wear At The Grand Canyon

When visiting any part of the Grand Canyon, make sure you dress in layers and wear sunscreen. The sun can reflect strongly off canyon walls. The weather can also change in an instant, especially if you go from one elevation to the next. Be prepared when you visit Zion National Park or the canyon. The walls of the canyons capture the heat of the sun during the summer and the trails can be especially dangerous when it snows.

While the surrounding sights around Las Vegas are beautiful, you still have to make sure that you stay protected from the outside elements. We can help with all your Grand Canyon travel needs. Take one of the canyon tours here at Grand Canyon Destinations, or choose to travel to Utah. The friendly tour guides and well-equipped buses will make any initial tour of the sites informative and interesting.

In preparing for our trip to Las Vegas last December, I looked at several tour companies to Antelope Canyon. It was a good decision going with GC Tours. It was a good trip. The cost is known up front. A few of the other tours do not include the fee charged by the Navajo. Booking was simple on the website. I actually wanted another date that wasn't available. I emailed GC, and received a quick reply as to potential date changes. From Las Vegas to Antelope Canyon, it's an early call. We had to be ready by 6:30am. Our tour guide kept us informed about what we were doing, -- going to the other hotels for the pickups and how many more stops before we actually get on the road. He gave us information about the area as we were driving out of town. He seemed to know the right amount of talking to do on the trip. Since it was early, some wanted to do a little napping. Our tour guide was very conscientious to make sure we made our appointment to the Navajo tour. He said if we were late, our tickets would be sold to walkups. Going to and from, there were enough bathroom stops and our tour guide made sure to tell us how many hours it would be before our next bathroom break. I felt the driving was safe and responsible but not meek. He had to pass cars or else we probably wouldn't get back until the next day. When he passed, it wasn't reckless. It is a long drive, and it was great leaving the driving to GC Tours. We didn't return to Las Vegas until about 9:00pm. The only disappointment was that GC was very busy and they had to use a rental van so there weren't the captain's chair seats in the van. It was a great tour. Antelope Canyon is beautiful.

g&c tours

I am so happy that I came across GC Tours while researching tour companies for Antelope Canyon around the Las Vegas area. I found GC Tours with great reviews and decided to give them a try and had such a wonderful day trip from Vegas. When you book online, they take a $20 down payment and the rest you will pay when they pick you up. So I booked my adventure on 2/23/19. Pick up was at 6:20am from our hotel at Luxor. We arrived right on time with a white van fitting 8 people (including driver). Eli was our driver and guide for the day and he was amazing from the very morning until he dropped us off at 830pm. We paid the rest of the trip via credit card with Eli. He picked up another set of 3 people and another couple (7 total) and we were off to Utah. Eli had a great personality and great voice. As he drove us out of Vegas, he gave us a history of Las Vegas and a brief history of all the hotels or mega resorts as we passed by them. Eli is all about safety. He promised we will get back safely and never did I feel we were rushed even though he had a schedule to stick to. After a 2 hour drive, We made a pit stop at Mcdonald's for breakfast at Hurricane, Utah. We got to use the restroom and stretch our legs. He told us we will get to Antelope Canyon by 1230pm since our tour is set for 1245pm. We were a little bit ahead of schedule so Eli asked what we wanted for lunch (GC Tour covered lunch) and when nobody responded Eli said he chose for us "McDonalds" again. LOL- then he said just kidding. We ordered sandwiches and salads at Subway. On the way, he let us know that Antelope Canyon was on Navajo Indian Reservation. We arrived on time at Antelope Canyon. We had a wonderful tour guide named Betty Marie. She met us at the front and took us on an open air truck about a mile or so out to the Canyon. FYI- Feb at Antelope Canyon is COLD. There was snow outside the canyon and on the floor all around. Temperature during the day was low 30's. The canyon was beautiful, massive, stunning and a work on nature. I learned alot from Betty Marie from how the canyon was formed via flash floods thousands of years ago to how dangerous flash floods actually are. Flash floods still happen during monsoon season. Betty took TONS of photos of everyone as well as photos of inside the canyon. For the whole 1.5 hour tour, she was informative, attentive and kept the tour going. Feb is also a good time to go visit Antelope Canyon despite the cold due to the lack of tourists. We had the canyon to ourselves most of the time. Our next stop was Horseshoe Bend. We had 1.5 hours there so hubby and I hiked pretty far out and up to get a good view. Make sure you wear your walking shoes for this one! There is a slight hike out and back. We ate our sandwiches on a large rock on top of Horseshoe Bend..with that kind of view, it makes you appreciate life so much! We hiked back to the bus around 4pm. We were given an opportunity to walk across the Glen Canyon Dam and Eli waited for us at the other end. Walked across and took photos. Our last stop before we were dropped off was McDonald's at Hurricane again. This tour was worth every penny as my hubby and I were going to drive this ourselves. But, it was so enjoyable from the scenic routes, unlimited water, comfortable leather seats, lots of leg room. After sitting for so long, I was not particularly tired. Shout out to Eli & GC Tours Team for making the tour wonderful! Would highly recommend! Next year, I am planning to do the Zion & Bryce Canyon National Park with GC Tours again!

Me to GC Tours, I would like to thank your company for coming up with package tours like the South Rim tour that we had. You made it easy for us visiting Grand Canyon for the first time. We came from North Carolina and knew nothing about bus tours until, thankfully, we stumbled upon a youtube video who spoke highly of you. Thank you for the included sandwiches and snacks and the unlimited cold water bottles! We visited summer time so this was a huge help. Overall, I think every visitor should know that your tours are worth every penny. I can say that the visit to Grand Canyon was one of my top favorite activities while being in Vegas. Lastly and the most important, I applaud Lorena for making our first ever guided bus tour enjoyable and informative. Her passion for her work was reflective not just on how she delivered her knowledge about the places but also on how she interacted with us. The drive through the desert and the small towns became very interesting with the bonus of her pleasant voice on the speakers. Your company is lucky to have her.

Prior to booking with GC Tours, I was doing extensive research on which tour company to go with for the Grand Canyon. This would be me and my boyfriend's first time visiting from Las Vegas and I wanted to make sure everything was to our liking since I was going to be paying good $$$. I did my fair share of checking deals/prices and reading a variety of reviews. Debated on the pros and cons of all the companies and finally decided that GC Tours had the best deal for what they stated on their website - from viewpoints to what the tour included and etc. Honestly, 3 and 1/2 stars would be the perfect rating I would give, but yelp does not allow half stars so...this 3 star review is for the Grand Canyon South Rim VIP Express based on my personal experience. We were picked up at the scheduled time of 6:50-7am by our tour guide Joyce. Since this was a VIP tour, there was only a small group of us (5 total) which I liked a lot. The vehicle had sufficient legroom and alright seats, plus unlimited water. There was also charging ports available inside. We started off the tour really well. Photo stop at the Las Vegas sign, then breakfast stop in Boulder City where there was a Starbucks yay! After that, headed to Hoover Dam and then a bathroom stop in Kingman, AZ. Lunch later was surprisingly good or maybe it was because we were all super hungry. I remember getting a chicken quesadilla and my boyfriend had a ham sandwich. The others with us got similar things such as a chicken wrap and a pulled pork sandwich. The food was ordered beforehand and was picked up in Seligman, AZ - where there was Route 66 photo opportunities. Joyce was really knowledgeable and kept us entertained with stories throughout the drive. We basically followed the itinerary listed on the website to the dot up until the point when we arrived at the Grand Canyon at around 1-ish and were given time to explore on our own. That's when things went downhill. I guess me and my boyfriend, and even the other 3 people we were on the tour with...should have paid more attention to what Joyce was saying about our meeting place. She gave us all maps and mentioned places of interest to go see/visit such as Verkamp's Visitor Center and Bright Angel Lodge. Maybe it was due to miscommunication but the 5 of us ended up losing our tour guide for about an hour and a half? We were supposed to meet up with Joyce at around 4, but we all kept waiting and there was no sign of her. What made it really hard was that half of us had no reception to call out so we couldn't separate too much to split up and go looking. To make matters worse, we also had no way of contacting Joyce. It wasn't till it got really late at around 5:30 and windy/cold, that I got mad at myself for not confirming with Joyce the place we were supposed to meet at or even get Joyce's contact number just in case. My boyfriend ended up looking for the tour confirmation email on his phone for the company's contact info and he called them asking if they could help us. It was the only thing we could do. At this point, I felt like not wanting to continue with sightseeing and just hope that Joyce would find us soon so we can all head back to Vegas because we were really behind on schedule. My boyfriend managed to contact someone named Brian from GC Tours and while they talked about our problems - Brian wasn't much help. I mean, he tried to assist us, but he stated he had no way of actually contacting Joyce himself. He would have to contact someone else whom would have contact with Joyce because they were scheduled tour guides that day. It all seemed very hopeless. Brian did try really hard to help though. He sent us maps and locations of where their tour guides usually met up and it all pointed to an area where we were already at - which was Bright Angel Lodge. Some of us ended up waiting at Bright Angel Lodge, my boyfriend ended up walking further out to Kolb Studio and walked back. Another person went walking back to the Visitor Center, but we just couldn't find our tour guide Joyce. Then, my cell rang with an unknown number and I answered...hoping it was who I desperately wanted it to be - and it was. Joyce. She sounded calm and asked where I was and I told her, I, along with the rest of the group was at Bright Angel Lodge and then she said something about being worried and that she was at El Tovar. I repeated El Tovar to the rest of the group and they looked confused. We have never heard her mention that place to meet at. Joyce then said to stay there and that she's coming. Long story short - don't think I'll ever take another tour to the Grand Canyon. We ended up sightseeing some more and I have to applaud Joyce for finishing the tour up quickly and getting us back at around 9:30-10ish. Don't let my review stop you from booking. GC Tours did their job....I guess me and my tour group ended up being the unlucky ones who lost their tour guide and had to pay for it.

Susan, Thanks for the honest review, it couldn't be stated more perfect. I am very sorry for what happened on your tour. Apparently there was major miscommunication with the guide and cell phone service at the rim of the canyon is spotty at best. If you ever return to Las Vegas we would like another opportunity to show you a better tour experience and apologize for the unclear communication between your group and your guide.

OHHHH YEAA!!! I definitely recommend this tour guide to anyone who wants to explore Grand Canyon! VIP van with unlimited water. you feel like you are being treated like a "VIP". It's super rare to experience what GC tours provided to us. Very affordable and very friendly! Would I use them again when I'm around? OHHH YEA!

Had a blast today flying over the Grand Canyon with the best pilot (Mike). Pilots are well trained and knowledgeable about the topography and the Hope Indian tribe. I highly recommend this tour.

https://gc.tours/ I used this tour company to take my niece and her boyfriend to go to the west rim. I gave the link for the website here because there are so many of them that are similar looking and it gets confusing. We decided to take a VIP van(7) instead of the bus so that it's faster(6:45am - 5:00pm) and more personable(a little more expensive). Charlie picked us up a few minutes early and was very informative, gave great advice on what to do first and accommodating....great personality. I would use this tour company again to see the Grand Canyon.

1 star: for booking and reservation 5 stars: for the tour The Booking/Reservation Booking was a pain! The story was a friend of mine wanted to pay for the tour as a gift. She will not be joining the tour but would like to pay for them. So they do not provide that, the people who pay for the ticket must be joining the tour. I think this is not necessary. What if somebody abroad and they had a friend willing to book for them and is easier because they have US credit cards, so they won't be charged for an international fee? The person who handled the matter was also not friendly from written and verbally, which I found not acceptable at all! The Tour We booked the "Grand Canyon South Rim VIP Private Tour" it was $134 per person. Our tour guide was Glen and he was friendly, energetic and knowledgeable! The tour was private, it was a family trip for us so the bus was fully occupied with our family. There were 6 of us. They picked us up at the hotel and drinking water was given and unlimited. The driving was long but we enjoyed every second of it. Glen was really helpful in taking photos and he's willing to go above and beyond for you! I got no complain for Glen and I would definitely recommend him if you're going to go with the private tour. We left Vegas at 7:00am and got back to Vegas by 8:00pm. Dislikes/Concern I had no complaints with Glen! He's superb! so tip nicely if you get him! What I like is that inside the bus, there were no tips rules written. But the company, the reservation people or who handle my issues they need to be more friendly and understand why certain people are doing that kind of reservation. I understand that was their policy but you could handle the situation better and way way friendlier.

GC Tours offers affordable excursions to the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Antelope Canyon & even helicopter tours of Las Vegas & Grand Canyon. Since I'd already been to the Grand Canyon (with another tour company) in the past I chose the Bryce Canyon/Zion National Park tour. It costs $165. You have to pay just $10 down as a deposit & they take the rest out of your card on the day of your tour. I made my reservation two weeks in advance. Even though I didn't see any Groupon discounts for GC Tours, I noticed their prices are still cheaper than the other tour companies that did offer Groupon discounts. I was picked up at around 6:35am in front of the hotel I was staying in (The Jockey Club). They win points with me for this because many other tour companies would've told me to wait outside the nearby Cosmopolitan Hotel instead. As a previous poster noted, we rode in a regular blue van instead of a shuttle bus. The driver did say they're in the process of discontinuing the use of the van we rode in that day. It was still comfortable enough though. Our group consisted of five people, including the tour guide/driver. The list of characters (besides myself): - A nerdy, bespectacled woman who was originally from India but now lives in New York City. She was shy but had a flair for living on the edge - literally. Every time we were on a high cliff, she'd find the most unstable looking rock on the edge of it and say, "I wonder if I can stand on that" & she'd do it too if no one stopped her. The strange thing about her though is that we once walked up a very steep hill, she looked back and was scared to walk back down. She was nerdy but nice. - An Asian couple from California (a fit, wiry guy and his sultry Wonder Woman-ish girlfriend). You could tell they were in love because they couldn't stop touching or flirting with each other. - Our tour guide/driver Brian, a stocky 40-ish white man. He had moments of brilliance as a guide but he kind of deviated from the script & added places for us to see that weren't part of the agenda. Early on, it made the trip more fun but it caused us to get back to Vegas a few hours later than expected. He also brought his drone along & flew it even though there're rules prohibiting flying drones in some of the spots we went. But he had a wealth of knowledge about our tour. We went to Jack in the Box in Mesquite, NV for breakfast. For lunch, we were supposed to go to a Subway in Utah but instead went to a buffet at a place called Cowboy's Buffet & Steakhouse, near Bryce Canyon. On the way back home we stopped at a location that had a couple of fast food restaurants & Brian let us choose where we wanted to eat. The tour only pays for lunch though. I was amazed at how naturally beautiful Utah is. It has desert areas but there is way more vegetation than in Vegas. We rode through a gorge that cuts through mountains & goes over the titillatingly named Virgin River. As we passed through one of the small towns we saw a huge Mormon cathedral that sparkled like a jewel. A couple of the towns we rode through were Cedar City, UT & Parowan, UT. We saw prairie dogs & Joshua trees as the landscape changed from mountainous Nevada desert to mountainous but greener Utah. One of the places we went that was not on the itinerary was Brian Head Peak (no, it's not named after our tour guide). It has an elevation of over 11,000 ft & you get near the top of it by driving. The temp at the top was about 57 degrees (a lot more soothing than the temps in Vegas). Brian took photos of us with our cameras there (as he did throughout the tour). Bryce Canyon was the main reason I chose to go on this tour & it didn't disappoint. It's not as big & deep as the Grand Canyon but it does cover an area of over 50 miles & has an elevation of over 7,600 ft. Also, the hoodoo rock formations give it a unique look. Zion Nat'l Park was just as astonishing. We saw bighorn sheep, rode through a tunnel that goes 1.1 miles through a mountain, saw beehive rock formations & did more hiking. Brian was like a taskmaster with the hiking & I wished I'd gotten more rest in Vegas the night before. The temps in Bryce & Zion were comfortably in the 80s. If there's a mild complaint, it'd have to be that we didn't return to Vegas until around 11:30pm and because of traffic Brian put me and the Indian woman out in a place that required us to walk some to get back to our hotels. Even though it was close, we were unfamiliar with where we were. Another reason we got back late is because Brian took us to a remote bridge at night in Utah to see shooting stars. We know he was just trying to show us a good time but after all the hiking we were tired & ready to go. I want to stress that despite the very mild complaints, Brian is an excellent tour guide. Just make sure you don't do too much Vegas stuff the night before though. I highly recommend this tour. 4 stars!

Mosiah, thanks for the review and the opportunity to provide a tour. I would like to apologize that the guide went above and beyond showing extra photo stops and providing lunch at a buffet which takes more time than the usual tour and made you get back later than anticipated. The guide did ask everyone before doing that as they never intentionally make people late. As for Groupon, we are glad you compared and saw the value in our tour. Fortunately we get free advertising elsewhere that doesn't require us to use that service. We are phasing out the 2016 model van you rode in for new 2018 models that are larger than the one you traveled in. I would also like to apologize for the guide dropping you off at Cosmopolitan instead of Jockey Club next door. Hopefully we get another opportunity to win a 5 star review from you in the future.

The website said the tour was for ages 13 and older. What happens as soon as I sit down? Five screaming kids, all under 8, who proceed to talk over the tour guide, who spend every second they can yelling "are we there yet?!" and "is that the Grand Canyon?!?". I booked this tour as a gift to myself, but it was completely ruined. One star in honor of the poor tour guide who finally snapped at the woman and told the kids to shut up. Major respect, dude. Sweetours, oops I mean GC Tours, please be real with your rules or make it clear to adults who are paying full price and want to hear the actual f'ing tour.

Plot 76 B Nakiwogo Rd, Entebbe, Uganda

Wild Frontier’s story in Uganda dates back to the early days of the tourism renaissance in the Pearl of Africa. In 1994, when we began operating tours from Entebbe, the national parks stood empty, wildlife decimated by internal strife and tourism traffic limited to a trickle of backpackers, while Uganda’s reputation as the foremost mountain gorilla tracking destination still lay over a distant horizon.

Since those unpromising days, Uganda’s star has risen exponentially with Wild Frontiers always at the forefront, constantly exploring opportunities for unique and specialist safaris that bring guests up close to big game and primates in stunning wilderness settings.

Nearly thirty years on, Paul and Jane continue to be based in Entebbe, at the helm of G&C Tours Ltd., the operational arm of Wild Frontiers Uganda. Just 5km from Uganda’s main international airport, our brand new, purpose-built headquarters is staffed by a team of experienced tourism professionals. In the booking and support centre, staff provide our guests with the very best care and attention – both in advance and in-country – whilst in the workshop, mechanics and technicians ensure that every vehicle sent out on safari is in tip top condition.

Wild Frontiers’ commitment to Ugandan tourism goes far beyond organising game drives and gorilla tracking. By facilitating park-edge community and conservation programmes through our Responsible Tourism Policy, we also provide guests with insights into the challenges faced by people and animals, while our Future Generations Trust aims to secure a legacy for our children and grandchildren to enjoy.

Rewarding wildlife encounters are, of course, only part of a successful safari; our guests also expect high standards of service and comfort after hours. In this respect, Wild Frontiers gained valuable experience in 1998 when they developed and managed a basic tented camp for the offshore Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary. This simple beginning was the first step towards providing luxurious accommodation for our own guests. Today, on the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the award-winning Buhoma Lodge lies five minutes walk from the gorilla tracking trailhead while a similar interval separates Ishasha Wilderness Camp, in nearby Queen Elizabeth National Park, from the main game tracks and the area’s famous tree climbing lions. In Murchison Falls National Park, 300km north, we have a specialist mobile camp that can be erected on the banks of the mighty River Nile when required.

Our Ngamba Island experiences would also lead us in another direction when we introduced boats to transfer guests to the chimpanzee sanctuary. These would soon be employed for additional excursions including sunset cruises, sport fishing, and birding. The opportunity to capitalise on our growing boating expertise came in 2008 when we obtained a concession to extend our activities to Murchison Falls National Park where our various boats now explore the 40km river corridor between the Falls and Lake Albert.

Now, with nearly three decades of experience and expertise in Uganda, Wild Frontiers continues to look for opportunities and improvements. Uganda has changed greatly since those distant days in 1994 with both wildlife populations and tourist numbers increasing dramatically. Today’s challenge is to retain the magic of the old, undiscovered Uganda whilst using subsequent improvements to enhance the experience. As you may have already concluded, Paul and Jane and the rest of the Wild Frontiers team are up to the task.

Where are your terminals located?

Which days are tours available?

Most tours we offer operate year round. However, there are some tours that are seasonal, such as tours involving a lengthy raft duration or include an overnight stay at Bar 10 Ranch.

From the Las Vegas area, we provide complimentary shuttle service to and from most major hotels on the main part of the Strip, which encompasses the area between the Stratosphere and Mandalay Bay. Bradley Cooper Went Full-Dad Mode in Rare Air Jordans and Two Pairs of Glasses

Bradley Cooper knows how to get a fit off. On press tours, his tailoring is always immaculate . He’s a pro at couples casual-cool with girlfriend Gigi Hadid . Roaming around New York City solo recently, though, he solidified his next chapter: turbo dad.

Let’s start up top with his incognito-celeb-coded aviator shades. They’re not just any old aviators. They’re designed by luxury LA-based label Dom Vetro who makes each pair by hand (which, in the age of cult Jacques Marie Mage shades, is a necessity for brands that want to amp things up a little). Then, doubling down on '70s eyewear, his prescription specs—also by Dom Vetro—are hanging from the top of his classic navy T-shirt. Double the glasses, double the dad energy.

And it makes sense. After all, you’ll need easy access when you have to read scripts for work, get to school pick-up at 4 p.m., and then head out on date night with one of the world’s biggest supermodels—all while trying to hide from photographers and, of course, shade your eyes from the sun. Better yet, they’re on trend, too, with '70s silhouettes doing the work on red carpets (earlier this year, Glenn Powell and Dominic Sessa were but two famous guys going for Studio 54 shades at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party).

Moving onto the fit. The T-shirt and trousers have that loose, flowy feel. The look that says I’m expensive and I’m not even trying—which is amped up by the unironed finish and rolled-out-of-bed hair. Above all, it looks damn comfy and practical. As a guy who often blends gorpcore with basics, comfort and functionality is seemingly high on the actor’s priority list.

Beyond clothes, none of his looks would be complete without a hyped-up sneakerhead fave. A man who knows his trainers, he has everything from ultra-normal Salomons to limited edition Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Highs in his collection. This time, it’s the Air Jordan 4 in Taupe Haze. These are a rare take on the original crafted in suede and leather—a pair you’d struggle finding for less than $300 on the resale market.

It seems Bradley Cooper is doing dadcore better than ever.

It’s a love story at the Eras Tour!

Taylor Swift sweetly congratulated a couple after she witnessed them get engaged during her combined “Folklore” and “Evermore” set at her Eras Tour show in Edinburgh, Scotland, Friday night.

“I love performing this entire show in the sunlight ’cause I’m pretty sure I just, like, saw somebody get engaged over here,” the pop star told the crowd at Murrayfield Stadium in a clip shared on Threads .

Once fans confirmed the exciting news, the “Karma” hitmaker, 34, pumped both her arms in the air and screamed, “Yes!”

“Congratulations, wow!” she enthusiastically added. “I just saw that whole thing. Man, that’s amazing … Thanks for doing that at my concert; that’s a big moment!”

Friday night’s concert marked the first of three shows Swift has scheduled in Scotland .

She then tours the rest of the UK, hitting Liverpool, Cardiff, London and Dublin before venturing elsewhere in Europe.

The milestone moment for Swift’s Scottish fans comes as engagement rumors continue to swirl around the Grammy winner herself and her NFL star beau, Travis Kelce.

Earlier this year, a person close to the famous couple told Page Six that Swift and Kelce have “discussed” taking the next step in their relationship and that “there is a plan.”

“They will get engaged on their one-year anniversary in July,” the source further claimed.

Kelce, 34, then fueled engagement rumors in March while he and his brother, Jason Kelce, spoke about lab-grown diamonds on their “New Heights” podcast.

Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, who have been dating almost a year , went public with their romance in September 2023 when the “Lover” singer supported Travis at a game at Arrowhead Stadium.

She then offered a glimpse into their relationship during her Time Person of the Year profile in December 2023, explaining why they decided to confirm their romance.

“When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” Swift noted at the time.

A close friend of Travis’ recently said that he hopes wedding bells are in the couple’s near future .

Patrick Regan said on the “Your Day Off” podcast this past Monday of the superstars tying the knot, “Hopefully soon, that’ll be fun.”

Tour de France 2024 – Comprehensive team-by-team guide

A s the 2024 Tour de France rolls out from Florence, Italy on June 29, there will be 176 riders competing across 22 teams – some with a target on overall victory, others looking for stage wins and more still pleased with any opportunity that comes along their way to gather publicity on the biggest cycling stage in the world.

All 18 WorldTour teams, plus the two best-ranked ProTeams – Israel-Premier Tech and Lotto-Dstny – got their automatic invitations to race while organisers ASO handed out wild card entries to Uno-X Mobility and TotalEnergies.

Crashes, form and Olympic goals have shaped the selections and ambitions for the teams but regardless all will be fighting to make an impression as the 21 days of racing over 3497.3km from Tuscany to Nice in the south of France unfolds.

Cyclingnews has pored through every squad, assessing their leaders, objectives and chances of success to bring you this comprehensive team-by-team guide.

Alpecin-Deceuninck

  • Team leader: Jasper Philipsen
  • Objective: Stage wins, points classification
  • Rider to watch: Mathieu van der Poel

In the bunch sprints of the Grand Tours of recent years, one team has stood out above the rest as masters of the lead-out train: Alpecin-Deceuninck .

They were a prominent presence throughout the bunch finishes at the recent Giro d’Italia, but Kaden Groves wasn’t able to ride them to victory. However, at the Tour de France, the team will have Jasper Philipsen , the quickest sprinter in the peloton.

Philipsen was one of the stars of last year’s Tour, storming to four stage wins (as many as any sprinter has managed at a single Tour since the 2011 edition), as well as riding consistently enough to claim the green jersey. He didn't slow down this spring, either, with victories at Milan-San Remo and the Classic Brugge-De Panne, as well as a second place at Paris-Roubaix, among his very impressive results.

Not only is Philipsen the quickest sprinter in the race, but he’ll also have the quickest lead-out man riding for him in Mathieu van der Poel . The pair work brilliantly together, as seen not just at last year’s Tour sprints, but also during the spring, when Van der Poel helped Philipsen to triumph at Milan-San Remo, and vice versa at Paris-Roubaix.

Van der Poel will also go hunting for stage wins on appropriate stages, most likely on days with punchy parcours too hard for sprinters but not hard enough for climbers. For a man so untouchable in the Classics, it’s perhaps surprising that he only has one stage win to his name from three Tour appearances, but he has often ridden here with a future goal in mind, as will be the case this year as he builds towards the Olympics.

Arkéa-B&B Hotels

  • Team leader: Arnaud Démare
  • Objective: Stage wins
  • Rider to watch: Kévin Vauquelin

With Warren Barguil having followed Nairo Quintana out the door, Arkéa-B&B Hotels are going in a fresh direction for the 2024 Tour with sprinter Arnaud Démare as their new talisman.

Having grown increasingly frustrated with the lack of opportunities provided him by his former Groupama-FDJ team, who selected him for only one Tour de France start in the last five years, Démare has moved to a team where he won’t just be picked but will command unified support behind him.

It’s hoped that as a winner of two Tour stages in the past, Démare can deliver the team their long-awaited first-ever following ten winless Tours, but does the Frenchman have the shape to do so? He hasn’t made the top ten of any race for almost four months, and recently fractured a finger at the 4 Jours de Dunkerque, plunging his Tour preparations into doubt.

It could therefore be up to others in the line-up to deliver, from which Kévin Vauquelin has shown particular potential. The 23-year-old has done everything this year, from making the top 10 at both Itzulia Basque Country and Tirreno-Adriatico, finishing second on the Mur de Huy at La Flèche Wallonne and winning a time trial at Etoile de Bessèges. He could be a contender for a variety of different stages though specialises in climbing hills and mountains.

Astana Qazaqstan

  • Team leader: Mark Cavendish
  • Rider to watch: Alexey Lutsenko

At last, it's nearly time for the race that Astana Qazaqstan 's whole season has been building up towards.

Since signing Mark Cavendish in January 2023, they've made it their foremost mission to deliver the Manxman to the elusive win number 35, move clear of Eddy Merckx, and thereby become the outright record holder for most stage wins at the Tour de France.

It had initially been intended as a one-year plan, but after the heartbreak of last year’s race, where Cavendish crashed out at the end of the first week , he and the team have decided to have one last shot at history this July.

Unlike last year, when he went into the Tour off the back of a final-day victory in Rome at the Giro d’Italia, Cavendish has shown only sporadic signs of form this season, confined to smaller races. He won a stage during his first race of the season at the Tour of Colombia in February but had to wait another three months for a first victory on European roads at the Tour of Hongrie.

The Astana team is set to be built entirely around him. Veteran lead-out master Michael Mørkøv was signed exclusively to deliver him in the sprints, while Cees Bol and Davide Ballerini will sacrifice their own sprinting ambitions to form part of his lead-out train.

One rider who might be granted some freedom to ride for himself is Alexey Lutsenko . He showed great form by winning Il Giro d’Abruzzo before abandoning the Giro d’Italia and finishing seventh and eighth on GC in 2021 and 2022, respectively. He has two Tour de France GC top 10s, as well as a stage win in 2020, on his palmarès, so another top showing isn't out of the question.

Bahrain Victorious

  • Team leaders: Pello Bilbao
  • Objective: GC, stage wins
  • Riders to watch: Santiago Buitrago, Matej Mohorič

What Bahrain Victorious lacks in a single stand-out GC contender, they make up for in strength in depth. Following Antonio Tiberi’s fifth place at the Giro d’Italia, they’re hoping to extend their run of top-six finishes on GC to a fifth consecutive Grand Tour and have several riders potentially capable of doing so.

Their best candidate is Pello Bilbao , based on his performance at the Tour last year and in stage races so far in 2024. He was sixth place last year and has been building nicely towards that level again this year with sixth-place finishes at Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana and Itzulia Basque Country, plus third at the UAE Tour in between.

Santiago Buitrago is poised to make his Tour debut. He brings with him considerable expectations off the back of his stage wins and top-ten finish at the Giro d’Italia and Vuelta a España, respectively, as well as his impressive showing at Paris-Nice earlier this year.

It’s also hoped that Jack Haig can rediscover some form ahead of the race, while even veteran Wout Poels could post a high GC finish based on his recent third and sixth-place finishes at the Tour de Hongrie and Tour of the Alps, respectively.

Poels and Bilbao were two of the three different riders to win a stage at last year’s Tour, along with Matej Mohorič, who will again be using his nous and engine to target breakaways. The Slovenian has three Tour stage wins on his career palmarès and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him add another win here.

With Phil Bauhaus , a debutant last summer, also posing a threat in the bunch sprints, Bahrain Victorious has the resources to target a win on almost every stage.

  • Team leaders: Guillaume Martin
  • Riders to watch: Bryan Coquard, Ion Izagirre.

For the first time in many years, Cofidis can go into a Tour de France without being badgered about questions of whether this will be the year they at last manage to claim a stage win.

By triumphing on stage 2 of last year’s edition, Victor Lafay ended the team’s 15-year drought and then Ion Izagirre added another stage a week later.

Lafay has since left for Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale but Izagirre remains and is set to ride, with stage wins on hilly and mountainous days again likely to be the target.

Guillaume Martin will ride his eighth consecutive Tour de France and will be the team’s leading GC hope. He’s placed eighth, 10th, 11th and 12th in past appearances, but has never won a stage, so he may prioritise trying to take one from a breakaway.

Bryan Coquard is another rider without a Tour stage win to his name despite many near misses, including a couple of fourth-place finishes last year. He’ll be the team’s man for the bunch sprints, especially on hillier days that weaken the specialists.

While these riders bring experience, 25-year-old Axel Zingle has form and potential. He’s been consistently in contention for multiple semi-Classics over the last few months and could win from a breakaway if he picks the right move.

Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale

  • Team leader: Felix Gall
  • Rider to watch: Sam Bennett, Benoît Cosnefroy

In the middle of an exceptional season, in which they have already racked up more victories than they managed in the last two seasons combined, expectations are high for Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale as they head into the biggest race of the year.

Although the men who delivered stage wins (Valentin Paret-Peintre and Andrea Vendrame) and fourth overall (Ben O’Connor) at the Giro d’Italia will sit this one out as they rest and recover, the core of the other names who have made 2024 such a success are set to be present.

Benoît Cosnefroy has been the team’s biggest contributor with seven of their 23 wins (as of the end of May) and will target the hilly stages, while Dorion Godon will be a candidate in reduced bunch sprints, having won two sprint finishes at the Tour de Romandie in late April.

In the pure flat finishes, Sam Bennett will still be their main candidate, having recently shown signs of returning to form with a haul of wins and GC at the 4 Jours de Dunkerque.

Felix Gall might have had a quieter season to date, but he'll still be the team’s main man for the mountains and their GC candidate.  He finished eighth overall last year after breaking through with a series of good performances in the spring, while he'll also be hoping to replicate his breakaway stage win at Courchevel.

DSM-Firmenich PostNL

  • Team leader: Fabio Jakobsen, Romain Bardet
  • Rider to watch: Warren Barguil

For the Tour de France, DSM-Firmenich PostNL are making the unusual move of deploying the same two leaders as they did at the Giro d’Italia.

In the bunch sprints, Fabio Jakobsen will again line up as he continues to rediscover his mojo. The Dutchman still only has one win to his name (at the Tour of Turkey) since signing for the team this year, and he failed to get involved in the Giro bunch sprints before abandoning during the second week. However, the team still retains faith that he can reach the level that saw him win a stage on his Tour debut two years ago.

Romain Bardet fared better at the Giro than Jakobsen, finishing ninth overall while coming close to a stage win on Bocca della Selva. Though he has made the top 10 in all but two of the eight Tours he has finished throughout his career, his excursions in Italy may mean he targets stage wins this time instead.

With 11 wins to their name – including just one WorldTour race and only three outside the Tour of Turkey – DSM need some big results. That means that another French climber, Warren Barguil , will likely be given the freedom to attack and get into breakaways.

EF Education-EasyPost

  • Team leader: Richard Carapaz
  • Rider to watch: Neilson Powless, Ben Healy

Last season was the first in EF Education-Easy Post ’s 16-year history that they did not place a rider in the top 10 of any of the Grand Tours. That run continued at the Giro d’Italia last month, where they aggressively targeted stage wins rather than GC via constant attacks, and were eventually rewarded in the final week with success from Georg Steinhauser in the Dolomites.

Nevertheless, they intend to strive to finish as high as possible at the Tour with Richard Carapaz as their leader. The 2021 podium finisher and 2019 Giro champion was signed in 2023 to do precisely that but he endured an under-par season last year and is only just showing signs of some form recently, with a stage win and seventh overall at the Tour de Romandie.

With Carapaz’s form still uncertain, there ought to be plenty of scope for the rest of the line-up to chase their own personal ambitions. Neilson Powless , for instance, could either chase GC as he did in 2023 (when he finished 12th), or stage wins and the polka-dot jersey as he did last year.

Irish puncheur Ben Healy is set to make his Tour debut, and if his Giro debut from last year and performances in the Classics are anything to go by, we can expect him to attack at every opportunity.

Alberto Bettiol ’s form during the spring suggests he could add a Tour stage win to the one he managed at the 2021 Giro, while Marijn van den Berg has also earned a spot on the team thanks to his impressive early season performances.

Groupama-FDJ

  • Team leader: David Gaudu
  • Rider to watch: Stefan Küng

A new dawn awaits Groupama-FDJ as they embark upon the first Tour de France of the post-Thibaut Pinot era. Before retiring at the end of last year, Pinot had been the fulcrum of the team, appearing for them in all but two of the last 12 editions — sometimes with great success, other times with great heartbreak.

David Gaudu will seek to fill the void left by Pinot, as he has for several years now. Fourth overall in 2022 remains his highest finish at any Grand Tour, and though a repeat of that looks ambitious given his stuttering form this year, he’s still dreaming of a podium finish.

If Gaudu doesn’t have the legs to mount a serious GC challenge, targeting stage wins may be the team’s optimum approach, and they have plenty of riders capable of delivering on that front.

Rising star Lenny Martinez misses the race in favour of the Vuelta a España, but 21-year-old Romain Grégoire is set to make his Tour debut on the back of some very impressive results this year, including a stage win at Itzulia Basque Country

Valentin Madouas has become a recognisable face from recent Tours without quite winning a stage, though he certainly has the talent to do so. Stefan Küng will, as ever, be a candidate for both the time trials as well as select breakaways.

Ineos Grenadiers

  • Team leaders: Carlos Rodríguez
  • Objective: GC
  • Rider to watch: Tom Pidcock, Egan Bernal

Last year was only the second time in the last decade that Ineos Grenadiers failed to put a rider on the GC podium at the Tour de France. Even since their run of yellow jersey-winning Tours came to an end in 2020, up until then they had still managed to crack the podium through Richard Carapaz (in 2021) and Geraint Thomas (in 2022), but last year their highest finisher, Carlos Rodríguez , finished further down in fifth place.

Still, that result means Rodríguez is the obvious choice to lead the team’s 2024 GC bid, and the 23-year-old has bolstered his status with overall victory at the Tour de Romandie and second place behind Juan Ayuso at Itzulia Basque Country.

Also in the squad are other, more wildcard options for GC. Geraint Thomas would usually be a dependable candidate, but it’s unclear how fresh he will be, having dug deep to seal third place at the Giro d’Italia , while Tom Pidcock has stated that he intends to concentrate on the GC rather than stage wins, despite failing to make the top ten last year.

And what of Egan Bernal ? The 2019 champion has for the first time since his horror crash two and a half years ago shown form approaching his best, with third overall at Volta a Catalunya and top tens at Paris-Nice and the Tour de Romandie, but it remains to be seen if he can manage a sustained GC bid over three weeks.

Michał Kwiatkowski and Laurens De Plus will be on hand to help the aforementioned trio achieve their GC goals, even if the Belgian could harbour ambitions of his own after racing to an unexpected and impressive fifth overall at the Critérium du Daupihiné.

Intermarché-Wanty

  • Team leader: Biniam Girmay, Louis Meintjes
  • Rider to watch: Georg Zimmermann

Biniam Girmay returns to the Tour de France hoping for a positive turn in fortunes. So far his season has been blighted by interruptions, with promising form in the early spring classics halted by a crash at Dwars door Vlaanderen, and another crash spelling the end of his Giro d’Italia one day after finishing third in Fossano.

He’s since returned to winning ways with victory at the Circuit Franco-Belge , and looks on course to arrive at the Tour in form. As Intermarché-Wanty ’s star, the onus is on the Eritrean to make an impact and he has the chance to make history as the first-ever Black African to win a stage of the Tour de France. His consistency and versatility also make him a candidate for the green jersey.

Like Girmay, who failed to show his best self at last year’s Tour, Louis Meintjes will be hoping to return to the form that saw him finish seventh overall in 2022 rather than crash out last year.

Meintjes will be the team’s GC leader, but the rest of the line-up will have the freedom to get into break and chase stage wins, much as Georg Zimmermann (who was second on stage 10) did last year. Rouleurs like Laurenz Rex and Hugo Page might fancy their chances of winning a stage this way, too.

Israel-Premier Tech

  • Team leader: Stephen Williams
  • Rider to watch: Derek Gee, Pascal Ackermann

Israel-Premier Tech 's high ambitions from 2021, when they gambled on signing Chris Froome in the hope that he could recover from his horror crash two years earlier and revive his Tour-winning form of old, have since been significantly tempered.

Now no longer a WorldTour team, they've instead depended upon a wildcard to earn entry into the Tour de France, and their hopes are limited to chasing stage wins rather than mixing it up in the battle for the yellow jersey.

Froome himself is still fighting for selection. He’s eager to avoid a repeat of last year when he was left out of the Tour line-up, but his hopes of proving himself worthy were compromised when a fractured wrist sustained during Tirreno-Adriatico forced him to miss almost three months of racing.

His compatriot Stephen Williams is enjoying a terrific season, winning both La Flèche Wallonne and the Tour Down Under. He'll therefore be a top contender for stage wins in the hilly terrain.

The team should have a presence in the sprints, where Tour debutant Pascal Ackermann aims to add to his Giro d’Italia and Vuelta a España stage wins and complete the Grand Tour clean sweep.

The rest of the line-up will be made up of stage hunters such as Dylan Teuns (who won here in both 2019 and 2021), and Derek Gee . The Canadian, who last year burst onto the scene with a series of breakaway second places at the Giro d'Italia, makes his Tour debut in the form of his life after scoring a stage win and third overall at the Critérium du Dauphné .

Jayco-AlUla

  • Team leader: Simon Yates, Dylan Groenewegen
  • Riders to watch: Michael Matthews

For a second successive season, Jayco-AlUla leader Simon Yates has foregone his usual Giro d’Italia participation in order to concentrate more committedly on the Tour de France.

Last year, this approach turned out to be a success, as he came to the Tour with some of the best legs of his career, eventually finishing fourth overall, and only missing out on a podium finish by 87 seconds to his brother Adam. His build-up to this year’s Tour isn’t so encouraging, however, having not shown much form since winning the AlUla Tour in the winter.

Jayco-AlUla aren’t putting all their eggs in the single basket of Yates’ GC bid. Dylan Groenewegen will be led out in the sprints by the likes of Luka Mezgec to see if he can add to his five Tour career stage wins, having come close last year with a second and third-place finish at Moulins and Paris, respectively.

On days too hilly for Groenewegen, Michael Matthews will step up, and may also try to get into some breakaways as he did to win a stage in 2022. He looked in fantastic form this spring, placing second at Milan-San Remo and, before being relegated for deviating from his line, third at the Tour of Flanders.

  • Team leader: Mads Pedersen, Tao Geoghegan Hart
  • Rider to watch: Giulio Ciccone

As a team boasting a diverse range of talent, Lidl-Trek could feasibly compete for all three of the major jerseys.

For the yellow jersey, they have Tao Geoghegan Hart . He’s only done the Tour de France once in his career and is eager to target GC here while still in his prime years. Victory might seem implausible, but that was also the case when he triumphed at the Giro d’Italia in 2020.

Mads Pedersen finished a distant second to Jasper Philipsen in the points classification last year, though he did score his second stage win in as many years. He's shown the kind of excellent form throughout this year to suggest he could bridge that gap, as well as add to his stage win tally.

As for the king of the mountains, Giulio Ciccone won that classification last year and will now be present to potentially defend that title after saddle sore surgery forced him to skip the Giro d’Italia.

Lidl-Trek might even have had a prime candidate for the white jersey if Matias Skjelmose had opted to ride, but he plans to skip the Tour and save himself for a Vuelta a España overall bid instead.

Lotto-Dstny

  • Team leader : Arnaud De Lie
  • Rider to watch: Maxim Van Gils

Compared to other teams, Lotto-Dstny have a laser-focussed approach when it comes to the Tour de France. Not only will it be their first Grand Tour of the season, having opted out of the Giro d’Italia, but they have also narrow down their ambitions to focus exclusively on stage wins, having not placed a rider in the top 10 for 14 years.

They haven’t had success on these terms recently, though, with no stage win to their name since Caleb Ewan’s victories in the sprints during the 2020 edition. The Australian has led the team for the past five Tours, bringing much success initially with multiple stage wins in 2019 and 2020, but nothing in the three editions since then.

He’s now left the team for Jayco-AlUla, and taking his place as Lotto’s leader will be Arnaud De Lie . Much is hoped from the 22-year-old debutant based on his rapid rise over the past two years, and he'll be especially threatening on hillier days where the pure sprinters will struggle.

However, the Tour will be a big step up from the level of competition he’s used to, and he’s only recently r eturned to form after suffering from Lyme disease during the spring.

De Lie might be the most hyped name, but another young Belgian, Maxim Van Gils , has been the team’s best performer so far this season. He finished second on the stage to Grand Colombier last year and has since established himself as one of the very best puncheurs in the world following podium finishes at Strade Bianche and La Flèche Wallonne, and a fourth place at Liège-Bastogne-Liège.

2023 super-combativity winner Victor Campanaerts is also set to ride again, though his season to date has been a quiet one.

  • Team leader: Enric Mas
  • Rider to watch: Rémi Cavagna

2024 has so far been another difficult season for Movistar , with Pelayo Sánchez’s stage victory at the Giro d’Italia their only win at WorldTour level all year.

That doesn’t bode well for their prospects at the Tour de France, where they have, in recent years, laboured to reach the levels of the past. They’ve now gone two successive Tours without placing a rider in the top 10, having done so in eight of the nine previous editions.

If any of their roster is to break that duck, it’ll be Enric Mas . The Spaniard has generally been one of the most dependable GC riders of his generation, making the top six in six of his last eight Grand Tour appearances.

However, he has been forced to abandon both of his last two Tours de France, with his participation last summer ending on the first day following a crash.

So far, Mas has enjoyed a solid season without causing too much of a stir, finishing fifth overall at Volta a Catalunya and sixth at the Tour de Romandie. Considering that he normally ups his game for the Grand Tours, that’s encouraging.

New signing Rémi Cavagna is a dependable name in the time trials, breakaways and in helping team leaders on the flat, though the Frenchman hasn't scored a WorldTour win of his own since 2021. Returning star Nairo Quintana won't make the race, meanwhile, after breaking his hand in a crash at the Tour de Suisse.

Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe

  • Team leaders: Primož Roglič
  • Riders to watch: Jai Hindley, Aleksandr Vlasov

For the 2024 season, Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe signed Primož Roglič with the primary objective of winning the Tour de France.

The team might never before have made the podium at any previous edition in their 10-year history, but Roglič has the calibre to challenge for yellow, as well as the desire, having moved from Visma-Lease a Bike for that specific purpose.

The Slovenian has left it to the last minute to show the kind of form he'll need to challenge for the yellow jersey, with his Critérium du Dauphiné victory his best showing of 2024 so far. The week-long warm-up race marked his first race since the heavy crash suffered by him, Remco Evenepoel, and Jonas Vingegaard at Itzulia Basque Country.

His two stage wins at the late summit finishes at Le Collet d'Allevard and Samöens 1600 were his first since the opening day at Itzulia, though a shaky final stage showing – where he shed almost a minute to Matteo Jorgenson and only held onto yellow by eight seconds – could provoke some cause for concern.

Roglič’s presence means last year’s leader Jai Hindley — who enjoyed a day in the yellow jersey after winning stage five in Laruns before back pain contributed to a slip down to seventh on GC — will be demoted to the role of super-domestique.

While Hindley’s form has tailed away since his impressive third-place finish at Tirreno-Adriatico, Aleksandr Vlasov might believe he has the results to justify potential co-leadership status. With a second place at Tour de Romandie, sixth at Volta a Catalunya and fifth at Paris-Nice, he has been among the team's top performers this year. At the Dauphiné, he proved a reliable and strong deputy for Roglič.

Elsewhere, the rest of the team is geared exclusively towards targeting the yellow jersey, with Champs-Elysées-winning sprinter Jordi Meeus missing out on selection as the team looks to domestiques Danny van Poppel , Nico Denz , Marco Haller , Matteo Sobrero , and Bob Jungels .

Soudal-QuickStep

  • Team leader: Remco Evenepoel
  • Rider to watch: Mikel Landa, Ilan Van Wilder

In a drastic change of approach, Soudal-QuickStep have abandoned their usual Tour de France strategy of targeting bunch sprints and stage wins, and instead are going all in on Remco Evenepoel ’s push for GC.

This is set to be Evenepoel’s debut Tour, and it’s a hugely anticipated one, given the already enormous star profile he’s built for himself through many superb performances and major results including two Liège–Bastogne–Liège victories, the world title in 2022, and the GC at the Vuelta a España that same year.

His build-up has been compromised after a crash and fractured collarbone at Itzulia Basque Country stalled the momentum that had already seen him win Volta ao Algarve and finish second at Paris-Nice, but the plan remains the same.

His first race back, the Critérium du Dauphiné, saw him score a dominant time trial win, though he faded hard in the closing three mountain stages, losing 2:58 to Primož Roglič. That will be a major cause for concern heading into July.

As part of the team building around Evenepoel, Mikel Landa has been signed up as a super-domestique. The Spaniard has performed this role in the past – at Sky to help Chris Froome win the 2017 Tour de France, and at Movistar for Richard Carapaz’s 2019 Giro d’Italia triumph. Second at Volta a Catalunya and 10th at the Dauphiné suggests he has the legs to do something similar this year, too

Landa will be joined by Evenepoel’s familiar right-hand man, Ilan Van Wilder . The Belgian has ridden in support of Evenepoel many times, most notably during his triumphant Vuelta a España effort two years ago and should be in solid form, too, having placed fourth at the Tour de Romandie.

The team’s focus on GC means there will be no room for in-form sprinter Tim Merlier, despite his success at the Giro d’Italia, nor even home favourite Julian Alaphilippe, as the remaining spots instead go to domestiques including Yves Lampaert , Casper Pedersen , Louis Vervaeke and Gianni Moscon .

TotalEnergies

  • Team leader: Mathieu Burgaudeau
  • Rider to watch: Steff Cras

When TotalEnergies signed Peter Sagan for the 2022 season, they hoped the Slovakian would be the star name to make them protagonists at the Tour de France. His first edition for them was typically consistent, finishing in the top six of five different stages, but lacking the edge of his heyday; by the following year his powers had seriously waned, and he only made the top ten once.

Sagan now having retired, the team must embark on a new direction. They’ve struggled at the Tour in recent years, and haven’t won a stage since Lilian Calmejane in 2017.

It will be hard for them to break that duck this year. Of the four non-WorldTour entries, they probably have the weakest roster, as reflected by the fact that they’d only won three races this season as of the beginning of June.

Consequently, they’re strategy will be to buy daily tickets in the lottery that is getting into the breakaway. Mathieu Burgaudeau is a particular specialist at this, having finished second and third on stages of last year’s race, and placed second in the King of the Mountains classification at this year’s Paris-Nice riding similarly aggressively.

The likes of Pierre Latour, Anthony Turgis, Geoffrey Soupe and Alexis Vuillermoz all provide experienced options for TotalEnergies to potentially select. And though the team don’t tend to target GC anymore, Stef Cras ’ 11th place finish at the Vuelta a España last year suggests he could become their first rider to crack the top ten since Pierre Rolland in 2015 — although his participation remains up in the air due to his involvement in the horror crash at Itzulia Basque Country.

UAE Team Emirates

  • Team leaders: Tadej Pogačar
  • Rider to watch: Adam Yates, Juan Ayuso

Phase one of UAE Team Emirates ’ great ambition to win the Giro/Tour double this year with Tadej Pogačar was a success, with the Slovenian waltzing to an enormous victory at the first Grand Tour . Now, it’s time for the hard part.

Pogačar won the Giro at a canter, almost 10 minutes clear of second place as he won a staggering six stages without ever appearing to have to stretch himself. But at the Tour, he’ll be up against a much stronger field of GC candidates, none of whom have the accumulated fatigue of having already completed a Grand Tour this season – even if Evenepoel, Roglič, and Vingegaard are all making comebacks from that brutal Itzulia crash.

UAE Team Emirates provided ample support to him at the Giro, with Rafał Majka and Vegard Stake Laengen impressing in particular, but the team is set to ring in the changes with an all-new line-up at the Tour.

On paper, it’s a much stronger group of riders. In Adam Yates , they have the man who finished third last summer, even if his form this year is in more doubt having performed only in patches since winning the UAE Tour in February. Juan Ayuso provides another potential GC option, making his Tour debut on the back of a podium finish at the Vuelta a España and overall victory at Itzulia Basque Country earlier this year.

More climbing firepower will come from João Almeida , another rider who would slot in as a GC leader at most of the other teams in the peloton. Elsewhere, Pavel Sivakov and Marc Soler bolster the climbing line-up along with Tim Wellens and Nils Politt , the latter pairing set to feature in the engine room during flatter stages.

The team will be hoping Ayuso, Sivakov, Wellens, and Politt recover well from a mass spill at the Critérium du Dauphiné, with Ayuso forced out of the race with pain in both hips as a result.

Uno-X Mobility

  • Team leader: Alexander Kristoff
  • Riders to watch: Andreas Leknessund, Magnus Cort

After making a successful Tour de France debut last year, Uno-X Mobility have been invited back by ASO as a wild card entry again.

Last year, they impressed by being active in the breakaways, with Tobias Halland Johannessen enjoying particular success with three top-six finishes. He’s set to return this year and on the back of some good form, too, having finished sixth at La Flèche Wallonne during the spring.

This time, they’ll have more strings to their bow. In new signing Andreas Leknessund , they have a rider capable of challenging for GC, even if he hasn’t yet shown the form this season that saw him finish eighth overall at the Giro d’Italia last year. And Magnus Cort brings considerable experience as a two-time former stage winner at the Tour, and will be dangerous from an intermediate stage break or reduced bunch sprint.

They will also again have Alexander Kristoff for the bunch sprints, who, though poised to turn 37 during the Tour, has been winning regularly this past month or so and could have it in him to add to his four career Tour stage wins.

But they are also sure to be one of the main presences in the breakaways, with Jonas Abrahamsen posing a particular threat, having recently won the Brussels Cycling Classic that way.

Visma-Lease a Bike

  • Team leader: Jonas Vingegaard
  • Rider to watch: Sepp Kuss, Wout van Aert

As the Tour approaches, Visma-Lease a Bike are still sweating on the fitness of Jonas Vingegaard . The defending champion’s participation was plunged into doubt when he crashed out of Itzulia Basque Country in April and hasn’t raced since. He has recently returned to training at high altitude, though his exact racing level won't become apparent before the Tour.

Given the severity of that fall, the fact he has a genuine chance of returning in time feels miraculous, but doing so with the form to win the yellow jersey again will be an even bigger ask.

Prior to that crash, Vingegaard had started the season in intimidatingly good form, triumphing at both Tirreno-Adriatico and O Gran Camiño while claiming five stage wins in total, and would surely be the overwhelming favourite for yellow were it not for his fitness and form doubts.

Should the Dane fail to recover in time, it might be up to Sepp Kuss to fill his boots. The peerless climbing super-domestique proved himself as a Grand Tour GC rider by winning the Vuelta a España last year, though he hasn’t shown anything like that form so far this year. On top of that, he abandoned the Critérium du Dauphiné before the final day of racing as he wasn't feeling 100% .

Like Vingegaard, Wout van Aert , too, is a doubt as he tries to recover in time from the injuries that ruled him out of both the Giro d’Italia and the major spring Classics, though he has returned to racing at the Tour of Norway.

He hopes to join other stalwarts of the previous yellow jersey-winning campaigns Tiesj Benoot , Dylan van Baarle and Christophe Laporte . Matteo Jorgenson will make for a very useful addition to the line-up, bringing a diverse range of talents that has this year seen him win Paris-Nice and Dwars door Vlaanderen and score a surprising second overall at the Dauphiné.
