Know Before You Go

• For your safety, please do not scuba dive within 24 hours of departure.
• If you are prone to motion sickness, taking a precautionary anti-motion sickness medication is a good idea. However, the flights are very smooth, and turns are slow and gentle. This is a professional scenic tour, not a thrill ride. Most people do not experience motion sickness and do not need an anti-motion sickness medication.
• All tours are wheelchair accessible and ADA compliant. Each base also has a custom-built chair lift to assist passengers into the helicopter safely and comfortably. Chair lifts are able to accommodate passengers up to 250 lbs.

What To Bring

• Wear solid dark-colored clothing.  This will cause less reflection in the windows to allow a clear view of all the sights. It will also allow you to take better photos and video without clothing items or light-colored logos or patterns from your clothing reflecting in the photos that you and other guests would like to take of the magnificent scenery.
• The helicopters are temperature controlled so dress comfortably.
• Don’t forget your camera or phone to capture memories.

• Seating for parties of more than 6, or weighing a combined 1000lbs, will be seated across multiple aircrafts. Please provide accurate body weights as our ability to execute tours depends on this.

• From Waikiki (8mi, 20-30min): Head west on the H1 Freeway towards Honolulu International Airport. Take exit 18 to merge onto Nimitz Highway (HI-92W). Turn left onto Lagoon Drive and then right onto Kaulele Place. Go straight to the end of the road and pass through the gate. Parking is free.
• Please Note: Blue Hawaiian Helicopters is a Part 135 On-Demand Air Carrier. Preferred times may be adjusted due to demand and availability. Flight departures are approximate and may change according to seasonality.

• This activity is wheelchair accessible.
• If less than 4 participants are booked, the activity may not operate.
• Children of all ages can participate in this activity.
• Do not go SCUBA diving within 24 hours or SNUBA 12 hours prior to your tour. You may snorkel or swim prior to your tour and there is no risk in SCUBA or SNUBA after your helicopter tour.
• Wheelchair Accessibility: The Front Row Upgrade is NOT wheelchair accessible.
• Wheelchair accessibility: The tour is wheelchair accessible and ADA compliant. Each base has a custom built chair lift to assist passengers into the helicopter safely and comfortably. The chair lifts are only able to access the rear row of seats therefore guests requiring a chair lift to board the helicopter cannot be accommodated in the front row. • In accordance with FAA regulations, each guest will be weighed upon check-in to ensure proper balance of the aircraft. Misrepresentation of body weight prior to check-in could result in denial of service without refund.
• The additional cost for guests weighing 240 lbs. (108.86 kg) and over is to secure an adjacent seat that will remain empty for the duration of the flight. This is to help properly balance the aircraft and ensure the comfort of all passengers. For each guest weighing more than 240 lbs., an adjacent, empty seat purchase is required.
• You must check-in at least 45 minutes prior to your activity start time.
• All mobile phones must remain in airplane mode while in the helicopter.

I was a bit unsure about this tour because of the price but my children were incredibly excited to see Hawaii from the air. The tour did not dissapoint and I would recommend the experience to anyone coming to Hawaii!

Is there a safe place to store my belongings during the flight?

Personal belongings can be safely stored at the Blue Hawaiian Helicopters office prior to your departure.

Can you get a guaranteed window seat? Will you need to pay extra for this?

Seating is determined by computer software used to balance the helicopter. Upgrades are not offered for guaranteed window seating. If you are a party of two people, one person will be guaranteed a window seat.

We recommend booking at least 1-2 weeks in advance. If you have very specific schedule requirements and are not flexible, please book sooner. Last minute availability is often possible, but limited.

How many people are there per flight?

Helicopters can hold up to six (6) passengers plus the pilot.

Do you make a video of the flight tour?

Yes. Every flight is captured in high-quality video. Each helicopter is equipped with four cameras; three external and one in the cabin. The video recording begins during the boarding process. The recording is continuous until landing and includes digital quality music chosen to complement the changing scenery, plus all the pilot's narration. The video is available for purchase right after you return from your flight.

Yes. Even if you plan to buy the inflight video, you will not want to miss an opportunity to save these memories.

Is anti-motion sickness medication recommended?

Taking a precautionary anti-motion sickness medication is a good idea if you are particularly prone to motion sickness. However, Blue Hawaiian's flights are very smooth, and turns are slow and gentle. Most people do not experience motion sickness and do not need an anti-motion sickness medication.

How much experience do the pilots have?

All Blue Hawaiian Helicopters pilots are highly experienced. Each pilot is required to obtain certification as a State of Hawaii Tour Guide. Blue Hawaiian is the only helicopter tour company in Hawaii with its state-of-the-art Flight Simulator and the only one that puts its pilots through annual factory and FAA recurrent training.

How many passengers can fly in the helicopter?

Blue Hawaiian Helicopters' state of the art Eco-Star helicopters are designed for 6 passengers and offer 180-degree panoramic views.

Will we be the only ones in the helicopter? How is seating arranged?

You will be sharing the flight with other guests. Couples and families are seated side-by-side as much as possible. They cannot guarantee particular seating as the FAA-approved “weight and balance” program often dictates it. However, visibility from every seat is excellent in the Eco-Star helicopters since there are no cabin partitions that would block part of the view, as in other helicopters.

Does this tour have any weight restrictions?

An adjacent, empty seat purchase is required for each guest weighing more than 240 pounds. The charge for an adjacent empty seat is 50% off the regular tour price. This open seat ensures comfort for you and all of the guests on your flight.

Do they make a video of our actual tour?

Every flight is captured on a high-quality DVD. Each helicopter has four cameras; three external and one in the cabin. The video recording begins during the boarding process. You'll likely first see yourself on the video as you approach the aircraft for boarding. To orchestrate the most exciting video, the pilot chooses between the forward, side, or internal camera as the flight progresses. The cabin camera, for example, usually shows you right after lift-off. The recording is continuous until landing and includes digital quality music chosen to complement the changing scenery and the pilot's narration. The video is available for purchase after you return from your flight.

Can babies take this tour?

Yes, FAA regulations allow children under 24 months of age to ride as a lap-child and there is no fee. Children over 2 years of age will need to purchase a seat for use.

Enjoy an exhilarating perspective of Moscow.  A helicopter tour is a wonderful adventure , during which you will have a bird’s-eye view of Moscow, the surrounding cities, and the beautiful countryside.

You`ll fly above Balashikha , one of  largest cities in the Moscow region. Balashikha is situated on the Pekhorka River , which is a left tributary of the Moscow River. The Pekhorka flows almost strictly from north to south and has a length of 42 km.

Balashikha  has been  the location of important Russian military sites since the Soviet time. In the past, the city was closed to foreigners.

You’ll see Mazurinskoye Lake, also located near Balashikha. Recently it has been the source of the Chernyavka River, which flows into the Pekhorka River. In 1970-1980’s the shore of the lake, surrounded by pine forest, was a popular recreation area.

Blue Skies Drones to celebrate new location in Centralia with ribbon-cutting ceremony

Jun. 11—Blue Skies Drones will officially open at its new location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce at noon June 25.

"The public is invited to explore its state-of-the-art training facility, meet their team and experience cutting edge drone technology," the chamber stated in a news release.

Owner Dale Hylton will be on hand with other in-house experts for tours and demonstrations.

Blue Skies Drones is located at 1319 Grand Ave. in Centralia.

The new training facility is designed to provide a quality learning environment for drone enthusiasts and professionals.

The new space features innovative technology and enhanced resources to support all levels of training, according to the chamber.

"The new training facility and expanded parking is a significant milestone for us," Hylton said. "We're excited to show off the latest technology in aerial, ground and underwater drones."

The Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce provides free ribbon-cutting events for new or existing businesses that are expanding, rebranding or celebrating milestone anniversaries.

Government borrowing was less than expected in May, new figures have revealed.

Net borrowing - the difference between public sector spending and income - was £15bn, an increase of £0.8bn on the same time last year, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) reported on Friday.

The amount is below the £15.7bn forecast by the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) and less than expected by economists.

However, it was still the highest amount for the month of May since the  COVID-19 pandemic .

The ONS also said that public sector net debt, excluding public sector banks, was provisionally estimated at 99.8% of gross domestic product (GDP) in May - the highest level since March 1961.

The figure is also 3.7 percentage points higher than during the same period last year.

Economists said it showed that whoever wins the  upcoming general election  will face a string of potential financial challenges.

Rishi Sunak's favourability is at a record low, with three quarters of Britons having an unfavourable view of him.

That's according to the latest YouGov poll, which shows that the current PM is now less popular than either Boris Johnson orJeremy Corbyn were at the depths of their unpopularity.

Compared to Mr Sunak (75% unfavourability), Mr Johnson (72%) and Mr Corbyn (71%) both scored lower at their lowest ebbs.

Mr Johnson's score was recorded between 6-7 July 2022, when the former PM resigned from office amidst a wave of scandals, including partygate and a debacle surrounding government whip Chris Pincher.

Mr Corbyn's score was recorded between 2-3 June 2019 while he was embroiled in an antisemitism crisis and attempting to recover from poor results in European parliament elections.

However, there is still some relative good news for Mr Sunak amongst all this.

The PM would have to drop even further back in opinion polls to hit the levels of Liz Truss - 80% of Britons had an unfavourable view of her towards the end of her 45 days in office in 2022.

Meanwhile, Sir Keir Starmer has a 39% favourable score, though this is still outnumbered by the 52% who have an unfavourable view of the Labour leader.

Looking at a party-wide level, the Conservatives are polling with a 20% favourable view compared to 73% who have an unfavourable view.

Labour fares slightly better than its leader Sir Keir in public opinion terms, with 43% having a positive view of the party and 49% a negative one.

Sir Keir Starmer says the choice the public faced of who to put into Number 10 in 2019 wasn't a good one.

The UK chose to give Boris Johnson the keys to Downing Street ahead of Jeremy Corbyn, though the current whereabouts of both men, Sir Keir argues, shows the choice was a bad one.

"The choice at the last election before the electorate was not a good choice," he said. 

"You had Boris Johnson, who won and then three years later was thrown out of parliament for breaking the rules, and Jeremy Corbyn, who is now expelled from the Labour Party.

"That's why I have been so determined to change the Labour Party and to make sure that the Labour Party puts forward a credible manifesto for growth. 

"At this election, there will be a real choice between carrying on with the failure of the last 14 years, or turning the page and rebuilding the country with a Labour government."

Asked whether he felt Mr Corbyn would have been the better choice to lead the country, Sir Keir said: "I have changed the Labour Party because after that election result we needed to ensure that we had a party which proudly said a country first, party second, with a manifesto for change. 

"And that's what we put before the electorate. 

"There's a real choice this time around for carrying on with what we've got. 

"The failure of the last 14 years, or starting to rebuild the country with a Labour government."

Sir Keir Starmer has reiterated that the Conservatives should suspend the candidates implicated in the general election betting scandal.

Two Tory candidates are facing an investigation amid claims they bet on the date of polling day.

Speaking in West Lothian today, Sir Keir said: "The prime minister is showing a total lack of leadership on this. 

"Let's look at what actually happened in relation to a general election. 

"The instincts of these Tories when the general election is called, is not how do we make this work for the country, but how do I make some money? And that tells you a broader picture about politics. 

"Of course, we should suspend these candidates. 

"If they were my candidates, they'd be gone by now. Out of the door. He needs to take a tough action. 

"I think he's not even saying today whether there's more involved. So it's a full account. 

"There's a total lack of leadership, but it makes it clear the choice that this election is carrying on with the chaos division and failure of class 14 years."

Welsh Labour's manifesto lacks ambition and undermines devolution, according to Plaid Cymru.

The party said that Labour is imposing further austerity on Wales with £1.8bn worth of cuts to public services.

Liz Saville Roberts, Plaid Cymru candidate for Dwyfor Meirionnydd, said: "It's no wonder that there is so little ambition for Wales in this manifesto - it's all they could get past London Labour HQ.

"No commitment to HS2 consequential funding, no devolution of justice and policing, no control over the Crown Estate, and one hand tied behind their backs on post Brexit cash.

"Keir Starmer has already told Vaughan Gething what to expect - more austerity, £18bn cuts to public services and pernicious policies like the two child benefit cap.

"Vaughan Gething is too weak to stand up to his London boss and too mired in scandal to stand up for Wales. 

"As Keir Starmer and Jo Stevens form a tag team to undermine devolution Plaid Cymru will always put the interests of Wales first."

The First Minister of Wales Vaughan Gething is "squatting" in the chamber of the Senedd, says the leader of the Welsh Conservatives Andrew RT Davies.

Mr Gething lost a vote of no confidence at the start of June, but refused to resign.

The vote was called by the Conservatives over donations made to Mr Gething's leadership campaign by a company owned by a man previously convicted of environmental offences.

"The first minister is at the moment standing in the chamber of welsh parliament with a vote of no confidence against him," Mr Davies said today.

"Can you believe that? The leader of a country has lost a vote of no confidence. He's squatting in the chamber of the assembly.

"He might well be claiming squatter's rights, but let's send him a clear message on 4 July that we won't tolerate it anymore."

Earlier, Mr Gething was in Wrexham launching the Welsh Labour manifesto.

 Rishi Sunak's response to the betting scandal that has emerged during the course of the election campaign is not good enough, the leader of the Liberal Democrats has said.

Two Conservative candidates are facing an investigation amid claims they bet on the date of polling day.

Asked if the prime minister's response so far has been sufficient, Sir Ed Davey said: "I don't think it is actually, I think if people know the outcome of something and they bet on that, I think that's immoral. I don't think that looks.. I don't think it's right. 

"Too often in this Parliament, we've seen the Conservative Party, sitting members of the Conservative Party, looking like they're in it for themselves, not for public service and what's in the best interest of the country. And so I hope you'll take some tougher action."

Speaking during a BBC election event on Thursday night, Mr Sunak said he was "incredibly angry" and anyone found to have broken the rules should face the "full force of the law".

Laura Saunders, the candidate for Bristol North West, is married to its director of campaigns, Tony Lee. The couple  are being investigated  by the Gambling Commission.

Ms Saunders said she "will be co-operating with the Gambling Commission" probe, while her husband "took a leave of absence" from his role on Wednesday night, a Conservative Party spokesman told Sky News.

It comes a week after the prime minister's close parliamentary aide Craig Williams, the Tory candidate in Montgomeryshire and Glyndwr,  admitted to putting a "flutter" on the election , saying this has resulted in "some routine inquiries" which he was co-operating with "fully".

The Lib Dems have called for the candidates caught up in the controversy to be suspended, something Mr Sunak has so far not done.

Put to him that the PM is not listening, Sir Ed responded: "Well, I hope he'll listen to the voters. 

"I mean, you could tell in Question Time, we've seen it in some of the reporting that people are pretty angry about this and they want some real leadership. 

"I think, you know, when things like this happen, you've got to stand up and, you know, yes, sometimes you have to apologise, admit the mistakes. 

"But then show that you've learned. And at the moment he's not shown he's learned."

Rishi Sunak has once again been quizzed on the election betting scandal that has plagued the Conservatives over the last week.

The prime minister's close parliamentary aide Craig Williams, the Tory candidate in Montgomeryshire and Glyndwr, admitted to placing a bet on the election.

Laura Saunders, the candidate for Bristol North West, and her husband, director of campaigns Tony Lee, are also being investigated by the Gambling Commission.

Asked by LBC Wales on when he found out Mr Williams had placed a bet and whether he was confident no one in his cabinet has done the same, Mr Sunak said: "I was incredibly angry when I learned about these allegations. It's the same anger many of you watching will feel. 

"It's right that they're being properly investigated. These are serious allegations."

"What I will say is that if anyone is found to have broken the rules, they should face the full consequences of the law."

Sky News then asked if Mr Sunak was comfortable with Tory candidates placing bets and if he was aware of any other candidates doing similar.

"There's not much more I can say," replied the PM.

"There are multiple investigations happening. It's right they're allowed to proceed. They're independent and necessarily confidential. There's also a criminal investigation and these are potentially criminal matters. 

"If anyone is found to have broken the rules, they should not only face the full consequences of the law, but I will make sure they are booted out of the Conservative party."

A further question from GB News asks why Mr Sunak has not suspended the accused already, as Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer suggests he would have done at the outset of investigations. 

"These are really serious matters. Incredibly serious," says the PM.

"I've made it crystal clear that the allegations have made me very angry, but it is right that those investigations are allowed to conclude properly without interference from anywhere else.

"Then if anyone has found out to have done anything wrong, they can meet the full consequences of their actions."

Rishi Sunak is now making a speech before his Q&A session takes place.

The PM starts by saying that Wales has been let down by Labour, with poorer NHS waiting lists than England and poorer education records. 

He also makes a jibe at Vaughan Gething for ignoring the vote of no confidence in him.

The PM then tells the audience to scrutinise Labour's policies and admits the Conservatives' shortcomings.

"I know you're frustrated with our party, frustrated with me," he says. "But do not let Labour waltz into office without scrutinising them.

"Without seeing what their policies would mean for country and your family security. Do you know what you're really going to get with Labour?"

Mr Sunak says he understands the frustrations of the public, but warns that "this isn't a by-election" and that a Labour government will do what they can to stay in power for longer than a single term.

He said: "Don't sleepwalk to 4 July. I know you want to send us a message, but this isn't a by-election. 

"This will determine who governs our country for the next five years and potentially much longer. 

"If Labour get in, they'll change the rules so it's much harder to get them out."
