A bit has changed since my last experience with Mad Max Tours, including a much more limited offering. There are three tours to choose from now: Tour 1 (I have not done [because I've seen them all before]): a tour of Stonehenge, a walk in Castle Combe Village, a photo stop at Cherhill White Horse, a visit to the Avebury Stone Circles, a photo stop at Silbury Hill, lunch at Lacock National Trust village. Tour 2 (I recently did): The Cotswold Villages Experience which includes very accessible and highly informative visits/walks through Castle Combe Village, Bibury & Arlington Row, Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-On-The-Wold, as well as Malmesbury Abbey & Market Cross. Get ready to be absolutely immersed in the Cotswolds! While our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the area (we learned so many interesting things!) and thoughtful of bio breaks, we felt the day could have been paced better. We were rushed at Bourton-on-the-Water and Malmesbury Abbey; but, we had *far too much* time at both Stow-on-the-Wold (all fourteen of us ended up standing on the street for forty minutes or so waiting for our guide to show back up; that being said, you should absolutely take Mad Max's recommendation to get lunch at Cotswolds Baguettes and eat them near the church with the famous Yew trees!), and - maybe because our tour guide had a personal connection to it - Arlington Row, where we spent a very, very long time standing in front of people's houses. Tour 3 (I have not done): special access to Stonehenge. I do LOVE these kinds of (almost) all-inclusive tours; they take away the anxiety of needing to drive or come up with an itinerary. They also allow you to truly take in the incredible scenery from comfortable small buses that navigate lots of back roads expertly! I just found this particular tour to be a little less personal than when I first visited a few years back (and compared to our experiences with the Heart of Scotland tours out of Edinburgh) AND I'm missing the more varied selection of tours they used to offer as well.

I was staying in Bath and was hoping to check out the surrounding area, so I was delighted to find Mad Max Tours. They offer small group day tours on their sixteen seater mini buses. Book online, then make your way down to Parade Gardens. Their pick-up is in the triangular shaped concrete park along Terrace Walk/North Parade (the website says it's in front of the Abbey Hotel, but that's technically across the street from here). I actually love doing these mini bus tour day trips - such an informative, condensed, low commitment way to see the highlights of nearby. Super touristy, I know, but it's also such a unique experience as you never know who you're gonna be on the bus with. It changes the entire dynamic of the day, and sometimes how much "extra" the tour guide is willing to give you (pro tip: engage with your tour guide, pay attention when they're telling you about stuff [sometimes they drop super local's only knowledge which can help you when you've got free time off the bus], and then do/see AS MUCH AS YOU CAN when you're dropped off at a spot). I took Tour 3: Glastonbury, Wells & Cheddar Gorge. It was INCREDIBLE. We drove through Cheddar Gorge (and got to stop to take photos twice: once with the rock formations, and once with the Soay sheep who kept interrupting our drive), explored the ruins of Glastonbury Abbey (where King Arthur and Lady Guinevere are buried), climbed up the hill to the Tor (home of the fourth chakra, FYI - there's some palpable energy and magic happening here), drank out of both the White Spring and Red Spring faucets (but couldn't go inside the The White Spring Well & Temple itself as it wasn't open that day - caution, naked flames, deep water, faerie portals, uneven floor... enter at own risk... no photography allowed), walked around Wells (the smallest city in England) finding the spots Hot Fuzz was filmed, marveled at the glory of Wells Cathedral, found the perfect reflection of the cathedral from the waters of Bishop's Palace, and visited Vicar's Close (the oldest, most complete residential street in Europe). All for £42. And I would repeat that same exact tour again in a heartbeat.

Very well done. Knowledgeable and fun information. Group size is excellent and the pacing was great. I highly recommend this tour.

We LOVED this experience! From the kindness of the main office to our low-key hilarious and ultra-knowledgable tour guide to the comfy motor coach, we could not have asked for a better day trip from Bath. We will never hear the song "Solsbury Hill" again without smiling.

Look behind you at Stonehenge.

When we booked this tour, I was a little leery of getting into a van for an all-day, narrated tour of the Cotswolds - would it feel crowded? would I have to listen to tour guide babble (or dead silence) for hours? would we feel like herded sheep? - but it turned out to be none of those things. The van seats were comfortable and roomy. Our guide, Tim, was knowledgeable and personable, and struck just the right balance between telling us interesting and relevant information about the areas we were traveling through, and leaving us the space to enjoy it on our own. All that and a beautiful corner of the world to enjoy. I understand that these little towns can get pretty crowded at the height of tourist season; chilly but pleasantly empty in late March.

I went on Tour 1 to Stonehenge, Avebury, and the Cotswolds. Our driver and tour guide, Kevin, was both knowledgeable and friendly. He took really good care of us during the entire journey. I was especially impressed by the fact that he learned and remembered everyone's name during the entire day long trip. We had a slight unexpected mishap during our tour where the coach got a flat tire. Not to worry though, Kevin made sure that we all were taken to a nearby pub where lunch was purchased for us at no charge while they arranged to give us another coach to continue on our journey. I was super impressed by that level of professionalism. The tour itself is very comprehensive. You get ample time at each destination to walk around and take photos or just contemplate the scenery. Our driver also made multiple unscheduled stops at various overlooks that provided great photo opportunities. I would recommend this tour over any other one that is available to visitors in the Bath area. Lots and lots of fun!

Photo of Gergana S.

We decided to do this tour on the evening before and, boy, was it worth it! Despite a slightly later start to the day due to unexpected traffic, we had a great time doing Tour #1 on the Mad Max list covering Stonehenge, Averbury & Cotswold Villages. If you've never been to this area (and we hadn't), it's a great way to do a bit of sampling of everything major. Kevin was a great guide, giving us enough freedom to do our own thing but also keeping to the schedule. The way Maddy (the Mad in Mad Max) had it set up - with audio talks as we were going from one place to another - was great! You get to learn a bit of the history before going to a place so you know what to look for. If we come back to the Bath area, we'll most definitely do another of the Mad Max tours!

Photo of Barbara S.

I wish I could do another tour today. We did the tour including Stonehenge, Avebury and the Cotswolds. Our guide was, Kevin, who was entertaining, informative and extremely competent. Kevin clearly enjoys what he does and likes his tour company. I've taken a number of tours in various countries and this is one of the best I've taken. I highly recommend it.

We took the Stonehenge, Avebury and Cotswolds tour on May 24th. Kevin was our guide. We loved the scenery and the stops. The timing was good for each place. Kevin was a wonderful guide. He was knowledgeable, pleasant and entertaining. Would highly recommend this tour.

Photo of Diana M.

Fantastic tour and our tour guide, Kevin, was great. I did the same tour 18 years ago and was very pleased that the experience is still outstanding. Get yourself to Bath and Mad Max!

Photo of David H.

Mad Max Tours to Stonehenge, Avebury and Cotswold villages was an amazing way to see these sights and I can't say how happy I am to have done it. I usually hate canned tours, but the small group size and thoughtfully designed itinerary of Mad Max made this one head's above the rest. To me, the best part of the tour was arriving at Stonehenge 15 minutes before it opened and then being able to have almost a half hour to ourselves before the crush of tourist buses showed up and made taking a decent photo almost impossible. By the time the lines began to get long for everybody else at Stonehenge, we were already on our way to Avebury, where we were able to take our time walking the stone circle and then eat a leisurely lunch. Capping off the day at one of the Cotswold villages before returning to Bath, UK by dinner made this a stress-free enjoyable day and one that me and my son will remember for years to come.

Photo of Mariam D.

We took the tour today and had a great time. Honestly our guide Kevin, (the retired teacher, because there are two Kevins), is manly the reason why this gets full marks. He was both funny and informative. He took the time to walk us around some of the sites and made sure to give us fun trivia about the locals and villages. He was always willing to answer questions and accommodate everyone's needs. There are a few options for tour packages and we went with Tour 1, which Rick Steves mentioned was the most popular. Our favorite sites were Stonehenge and castle Combe, which really looked like a place from a fairytale even on a rainy day. We though Avebury was a bit redundant after Stonehenge but it's still a pretty site. Make sure you wear sturdy shoes if it is raining since the walk tends to be slippery at times. The tour stops for lunch in the village of Lacock where you have a few options. We picked the Red Lion and it was a big mistake. Quite possibly the worst food we've had on our trip to England thus far. Otherwise the town is lovely and small enough to see in 15-20 minutes. In short, this tour is a great way to see a lot of English countryside that we would have missed otherwise and is quiet fun.

Mad Max Tours Review – Stonehenge, Cotswolds, Avebury Tour

This post is a Mad Max Tours review all about their Tour 1 option to Stonehenge.

When I asked my partner what he wanted to do on our upcoming trip to the United Kingdom, he only had one request: see Stonehenge. So, of course, I scoured the internet for Stonehenge tours from London and other options for visiting the site. The results were overwhelming, and I couldn’t decide on a tour company.

stonehenge mad max tours 1

I came across Mad Max Tours’ Stonehenge tours and knew as soon as I saw the rest of the itinerary that this was the one I wanted to book. It included a stop in Lacock, which has long been on my list of places to visit.

The only issue? They were based in Bath rather than London.

So we changed our plans to spend two nights in Bath just to book a tour with Mad Max Tours.

Mad Max Tours Information

Mad Max Tours is a family-run company based in Bath, UK. They’ve been around for about 30 years and specialize in small group day tours for up to fourteen people.

All of their guides are locals with extensive knowledge of the areas they visit, as well as their history and culture.

There are three different tours to choose from, and an option to book a private tour.

Mad Max Tours Itinerary for Tour 1

We chose Tour 1, which includes stops at Stonehenge, Avebury, Lacock, Castle Combe, and photo stops at Silbury Hill and the Cherhill White Horse.

The day began at the central meeting place outside the Abbey Hotel. Andy, our guide and driver, arrived promptly at 8:20 a.m. to check in the guests. We took our seats and left for the first leg of our tour at 8:30 a.m.

Stonehenge was our first stop of the day.

Andy kept us entertained with his local knowledge, stories, and anecdotes during our scenic drive through the countryside.

We arrived at the Visitor Center as one of the first tour groups. Because tickets to Stonehenge were not included in the tour price, we paid Andy and he collected the tickets for our group. We had the opportunity to use the washroom while we waited for him.

When he returned, he led us past the lines and onto the transfer bus that took us to the actual stones.

The stones are roped off so that visitors cannot get up close and personal with them. A path loops the site, with some sections closer to the stones than others. Plaques with information and history can be found all along the path. Visitors can spread out and take photos from various angles. A little further away, there is an outlier stone.

Even though it was a rainy day, we were able to get some decent shots. After about 30 minutes, we decided to return to the visitor centre for some food.

There was no line at the cafe because it was still early in the morning. Along with our coffee and tea, we ordered a sausage roll and a bacon roll.

Afterwards, we visited the Neolithic Houses, which are located just outside the visitor and exhibition centre. Visitors can go inside the houses and get a sense of what life was like for the people who lived at the time Stonehenge was built.

TIPS: ● To avoid using up data, download the Stonehenge Audio Tour app ahead of time if you want to listen to the audioguide. ● Pack some food if you want to spend more time exploring the site, fully experiencing the exhibition with artifacts, or immersing yourself in the 360 degree visual experience.

Cherhill White Horse photo stop

Next on the itinerary, was to see the Cherhill White Horse .

Scattered throughout the British countryside are large white horses carved into hills and made out of chalk. In Wiltshire, only eight remain and the Cherhill White Horse is the second oldest from 1780.

mad max tours cherhill

For this viewpoint, our guide and driver, Andy, pulled up to a home on the side of the road. To our delight, there are two resident horses on the property. Andy distributed carrots to the tour guests so we could feed and pet the horses.

The two horses were lovely and gentle. This stop definitely added to the richness of seeing the Cherhill White Horse while learning about its history.

In the second photo below, you can see the tiny Cherhill White Horse on the hill behind the black and white horse.

Avebury Stone Circles and Village

While most people are familiar with Stonehenge, very few are aware of the Avebury henge and stone circles.

A bank or ditch known as a henge encircles the village of Avebury and was constructed during the Neolithic era. Within the henge is the largest stone circle in Britain, which originally had about 100 stones. Within it, there are two more more compact stone circles.

mad max tours review of tour 1

Unlike Stonehenge, Avebury is free to visit, and you can walk up to and touch the stones. They are scattered throughout the village. We only saw a small portion of the site because it is massive! The henge covers approximately 12 hectares.

mad max tours 1

Our tour guide dropped us off across the street from the Red Lion pub. We had about two hours to explore the area and the village or get some food.

Numerous walking paths lead through the various stone circle sections and alongside the henge ditch. Be warned though! You’d better watch your step because sheep graze freely and leave behind tons of droppings!

avebury stone circle

We took a quick stroll down Avebury’s High Street. There is a lovely church and charming houses with thatched roofs. A cute little souvenir shop is located across the street from these.

This street has a public restroom, but it isn’t the cleanest.

You can also visit the National Trust Museum but we chose to continue exploring the village.

mad max tour uk

I’m not sure if we simply ran out of time, or if it wasn’t in the plan for the day, but we didn’t stop at nearby Silbury Hill for a photo op. Andy pointed out the monument as we drove by, providing a brief description and history. I couldn’t take a photo because we were on the other side of the bus, but even from that vantage point, it was an impressive monument.

Lacock National Trust Village

The charming little village of Lacock was up next. Visiting Lacock Abbey was at the top of my to-do list. We made a beeline for it as soon as we arrived because it was a bit of a walk from where we were dropped off in town.

The entrance fee is £15.00 per person, which I thought was reasonable.

Lacock Abbey was built in the early 13th century as a nunnery, but has since been transformed into a lovely country house. The original cloisters, which have been preserved, are without a doubt one of the highlights.

mad max tour 1 itinerary

If you’re a Harry Potter fan, you might recognize these as Hogwarts corridor scenes on multiple occasions. Other rooms in the Abbey, including the one where Harry discovers the Mirror of Erised in the first film, were also used as filming locations.

mad max tour uk

The Talbot family eventually inherited Lacock Abbey. William Henry Fox Talbot, a scientist and inventor, is the most well-known. He created the first known photographic negative by filtering light through one of the windows in the south gallery.

A mock display is on-site and can be seen while walking through the second floor gallery and room displays. The Fox Talbot Museum is located on the ground floor and explores the history of photography as well as the life of William Henry Fox Talbot.

mad max tour uk

We then walked back to the village centre. It’s a cute, charming little town. The majority of the houses date from the 18th century, but there are some older structures, including St Cyriac’s Church, which was built in the 14th century.

Lacock is a popular filming location, particularly for historical pieces, due to its preservation. Additional Harry Potter scenes were shot here, the most notable of which was the Potters’ home. Other films and television shows that have been shot here include Downton Abbey, Pride and Prejudice, and The Other Boleyn Girl.

lacock potter house mad max tours review

The village has a few cute shops, but what I found most endearing was how some homeowners would leave products like produce, plants, or food jars by their front door. If you want to buy something, you would leave money through the mailbox or front door, according to the honesty system.

On the main street, there are also some pubs and restaurants. Instead of a sit-down dinner, we went to the adorable Lacock Bakery for a quick bite to maximize our time exploring the village. We picked the cheese and bacon roll and the sausage roll.

mad max tours lacock bakery

Andy then led us on a walking tour of the village, distributing photos along the way, highlighting specific filming locations from popular movies and shows. He discussed the town’s history, buildings, and architecture.

mad max tours lacock village

Castle Combe

The stunning little village of Castle Combe was the final stop on our Tour 1 itinerary.

castle combe mad max tours

Castle Combe has been dubbed the most beautiful village in the United Kingdom, and I can see why!

It’s the quintessential Cotswold village, with picturesque rows of homes and a charming little bridge that’s a popular photo location.

mad max tours castle combe

However, as you can see in the photo, photographing the iconic bridge and street without other people was extremely difficult. You’d have to come here super early or late in the evening to get that perfect Insta-worthy shot. When we arrived around 4 p.m., there was a steady flow of tourists coming and going.

Mad Max Tours Experience and Review

From beginning to end, we had an amazing time with Mad Max Tours.

Booking on their website and paying with PayPal was simple.

The small coach was clean and cozy. I preferred the smaller group size because it felt more personal.

Our guide Andy was fantastic. He was charming and knowledgeable, with just the right mix of stories and personal anecdotes.

The Tour 1 itinerary is expertly curated, featuring incredible historic sites and picturesque villages. The schedule is also well-planned. We were never rushed and were given plenty of time to explore on our own.

Going with Mad Max Tours was definitely the right decision, even if it meant changing our plans to spend the weekend in Bath. It was the best way to experience Stonehenge and get a taste of the Cotswolds. We would not hesitate to book any of their other tours the next time we visit Bath.

Mad Max Tours is a wonderful family-owned business that you will not regret booking with!

Where can I watch the Mad Max series online?

T he latest film in the Mad Max saga has now premiered in US and UK cinemas. Before you dive into the high-octane tale of Furiosa , learn more about George Miller’s violent post-apocalyptic universe, centred around ex-cop Max Rockatansky.

Launched in 1979, from the beginning, Mad Max was a dark, violent story with a mythical vibe and a healthy dose of camp. The depiction of civilization destroyed first by an oil crisis, then a nuclear war and fights for water is both powerful and highly disturbing.

The vision of post-nuclear wastelands and bizarre characters from Mad Max universe undoubtedly impacted pop culture. It inspired, for example, the creators of the Fallout games, which were recently adapted into a Fallout series on Prime Video .

Find out when to watch all movies from the Mad Max saga and what to expect from them.

What are the Mad Max movies?

Mad max (1979).

The movie, set in 1985, covers the events before the nuclear conflict. After the Gulf War, the world is gripped by a fuel crisis. There are still stores and police (Max, portrayed by Mel Gibson, is a young cop), but gasoline is running out, and armed gangs are appearing. The film doesn’t yet feature the scorching wastelands; the action takes place on the Australian coast, covered with grass and trees.

Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior (1981)

The film is set around 1988, three years after the events of the first part. According to one theory, a nuclear war has already swept through the world; according to the other – it is yet to happen. Together with Max, we move to the Australian wilderness, the first warlords appear and the few settlers try to survive.

Warner Bros.

Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985)

The third part of Max’s adventures takes place 15 years after The Road Warrior, around 2003, although according to another theory – even later. Some time has passed since the nuclear war, and the survivors are trying to rebuild civilization. Max ends up in Bartertown, a town ruled with a firm hand by the Aunty Entity, played by Tina Turner.

Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)

The film initiates a “new” series about Max, with Tom Hardy taking the lead role. It’s also the first movie featuring Furiosa. The nuclear summer and vague memories of civilization suggest that decades have passed since the apocalypse. Thus, the action may take place around 2050. On the other hand, Max looks 30-40 years old, which means the action may also be set in the first decade of the 21st century.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024)

Set decades before Fury Road, the film tells the story of the female warrior introduced in the 2015 film. Young Furiosa, portrayed by Anya Taylor-Joy, seeks revenge on a Warlord Dementus, who abducted her as a child, and joins forces with unlikely allies.

The film is currently available exclusively in cinemas.

If you want to watch Furiosa in the comfort of your own home, follow our guide on when Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is available to stream, rent or buy.

Where to stream Mad Max movies in the US

Warner Bros. owns the Mad Max series, so in the States, you can stream all movies on Max (except for Furiosa).

An ad-supported package costs $9.99 per month / $99.99 per year, while an ad-free tier is priced at $15.99 per month / $149.99 per year.

The first Mad Max movie is also available on Peacock . The basic plan with ads costs $5.99 per month. You can also upgrade to the ad-free version for $11.99 per month.

Where to rent or buy Mad Max movies in the US?

You can also buy or rent four Mad Max movies from:

・ Google TV

・ Prime Video

・ Microsoft

Where to stream Mad Max movies in the UK

In the UK, you can stream Mad Max: Fury Road on Now , or watch on Sky Cinema if you have that included in your TV package. However, that’s the only film available on streaming sites.

If you want to stream other Mad Max movies, you can use VPN (virtual private network). This allows you to bypass geoblocking and access foreign websites, for example, Max. We recommend NordVPN , one of the most reliable apps of its kind.

If you need a guide to using NordVPN, check out our tutorial on how to watch Max in the UK .

Taylor Swift fans are at risk of being ripped off by opportunists amid the frenzy over the pop star’s UK leg of her Eras tour.

The Reputation artist has landed in Edinburgh, Scotland, where she will be performing three shows at Murrayfield Stadium before further gigs in cities including Cardiff, Liverpool, and London.

Ahead of her first performance on Friday (7 June), and as eager fans camped outside the stadium in the hopes of securing the best spot on the venue floor, tickets were being sold on secondary ticketing site Viagogo for as much as £4,256 each.

The tickets listed for the eye-watering sum claimed to offer a “clear view” of the show, despite being for the floor zone, which does not guarantee a place near the stage.

Elsewhere on Viagogo, a pair of seated tickets were being flogged for £1,198 each, while a pair in the East5 section were listed at £1, 182 apiece.

A Viagogo spokesperson told The Independent: “Viagogo doesn’t sell tickets or set prices. Sellers set the price of their listings and fans ultimately choose the listing that meets their budget.

“This is a reflection of supply and demand. The tickets you still see listed on the platform at extremely high prices, by default, have not sold and rarely ever will.”

In July last year, Swifties were left fuming after tickets to her record-breaking Eras Tour were sold only to reappear on secondary ticketing websites within minutes.

Taylor Swift fans are at risk of being ripped off by opportunists

Sites selling tickets crashed, with nearly 40,000 people joining the online queue for when the presale for the US pop star’s London and Edinburgh shows began.

Early access was granted to fans who had pre-ordered Swift’s 2022 album Midnights.

At the time, tickets for for London’s Wembley Stadium show were on sale for as much as £3,352. The original sale price for a standing ticket in the front row was £172.25.

Some fans blamed Ticketmaster over apparent glitches while they were in the online queue.

“I was first in the queue for Taylor Swift tickets and Ticketmaster kicked me out of the queue for literally no reason,” one fan tweeted in July. “There goes my chance at tickets.”

Swifties pose with their Taylor merch outside Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh (6 June)

Scottish National Party MP Gavin Newlands said he had experienced the same issue on Ticketmaster while trying to secure tickets for his daughter.

“Just as I got in, you kicked me out with an error,” he wrote. “Now back in queue at 18,000 odd, with no chance of a ticket. Super.”

Ticketmaster did not reply to The Independent’s request for comment at the time of writing.

In April, Lloyds Bank issued a warning to fans as it said that more than 600 of its UK customers had reported being scammed while trying to buy Swift tickets.

The figures from Lloyds Bank were based on analysis of relevant purchase scams reported by customers at Lloyds Bank, Halifax, and the Bank of Scotland, where Swift and/or the Eras Tour were referenced as part of the claim, between July 2023 and March 2024.

On average, each victim lost around £332, though Lloyds said that in some cases customers were fleeced of more than £1,000.

Fans were at risk of being scammed amid the unprecedented demand to see Taylor Swift live

Lloyds said that there are usually two waves of fraud: the first when tickets go on sale, and the second closer to when the event is taking place.

Liz Ziegler, fraud prevention director at Lloyds Bank, said: “For her legion of dedicated Swifties, the excitement is building ahead of Taylor’s Eras Tour finally touching down in the UK this summer.

“However cruel fraudsters have wasted no time in targeting her most loyal fans as they rush to pick up tickets for her must-see concerts.

“It’s easy to let our emotions get the better of us when we find out our favourite artist is going to be performing live, but it’s important not to let those feelings cloud our judgment when trying to get hold of tickets.”

How to watch Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga right now

The prequel movie is out now.

preview for Chris Hemsworth and Tom Burke | Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga

Is Furiosa available to stream?

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga might have stalled somewhat on its opening weekend , but the Mad Max prequel hopefully has plenty of gas left in its box-office tank.

If you don't fancy checking out the excellent prequel on the big screen, you might be wondering whether you can watch it at home.

However, Furiosa has been released exclusively in cinemas and is not yet available to watch digitally. Warner Bros has yet to confirm any digital or streaming release dates for the movie either.

But we can look at recent releases to get a sense of when we can expect to be able to watch it at home.

So here's how to watch Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga right now and when it'll be released digitally.

anya taylorjoy, furiosa a mad max saga

As mentioned above, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is not yet available to watch at home, but it is out now in cinemas so you can head to your favourite cinema to watch it today.

Warner Bros has yet to confirm a digital release date for Furiosa . However, we're pretty confident it'll be available to buy or rent 46 days after its cinema release as that's the usual pattern for Warner Bros movies like Dune: Part Two and Wonka .

It means we can expect to be able to watch Furiosa at home from Monday, July 8 in the UK and the US.

That date has yet to be officially confirmed by Warner Bros, but while we wait, you can pre-order the movie from iTunes in the UK, and from Prime Video and iTunes in the US to be able to watch it as soon as it's available.

In the UK, you can also pre-order Furiosa on DVD , Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD . Warner Bros has yet to confirm a release date for the physical release of the movie.

HMV also has an exclusive 4K Steelbook available to pre-order now too.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is not available to watch currently on any streaming service, and Warner Bros has yet to confirm a streaming release date.

However, we know that the first streaming platform in the US for Furiosa will be Max like every other Warner Bros movie.

It usually takes between two and three months for a Warner Bros movie to debut on the streaming service after its theatrical release, which points to a likely August release on Max for Furiosa .

If you're in the US and not a Max subscriber, you can sign up from $9.99 per month for Max's ad-supported plan.

Max has yet to launch in the UK, so Furiosa 's first streaming platform in the UK will be Sky Cinema and NOW .

Again, a release date has yet to be confirmed and probably won't be in-line with the US streaming debut. Barbie took almost nine months to arrive on Sky Cinema, so we might have to wait until early 2025 for Furiosa .

Without a hot new tentpole release, this weekend’s UK-Ireland box office has been dominated by holdovers, with Paramount’s IF clinching the top spot, and The Garfield Movie overtaking Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.

John Krasinski’s live action-animation hybrid IF has finally broken out of its second place slot in its third weekend on release, taking £1.6m, down 4% on its previous session, for an overall figure of £9.6m. The voice cast includes Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Steve Carrel, Matt Damon and George Clooney.

Sony clawed in £1.3m for The Garfield Movie in its second weekend, bringing its total up to £6.3m. Last weekend’s number one, Warner Bros’ Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga , collected £963,053 in its second session, for a total of £4.5m.

K ingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes has £1.1m in its fourth weekend for Disney, totalling £13.3m.

The Fall Guy   grossed £523,218 in its fifth weekend, down 31% on its previous session, carrying it over the £11m mark for Universal.

Warner Bros conjured up £393,788 from 524 locations for its 20th anniversary re-release of Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban, landing a £752 site average – the best performing new release of the weekend, albeit a repertory title.

Sony had a strong weekend for Susumu Mitsunaka’s sequel to the Haikyu!! anime TV series, Haikyu!!: The Dumpster Battle , which took £270,095 from 230 sites, for a site average of £1,174.

Studiocanal’s spider horror Sting brought in £208,643 from 484 sites in its first weekend, for a location average of £432. This figure creeps up to £230,588 including previews. Australian filmmaker Kian Roache-Turner’s feature follows a 12-year-old girl living in New York who forms a bond with a strange spider. This figure means it hasn’t quite caught up to last summer’s Aussie horror hit Talk To Me, that opened to £562,772 from 431 locations, for an average of £1,306.

Renny Harlin’s horror The Strangers: Chapter 1 added £161,235 in its third weekend for Lionsgate to a total of £1.6m.

Challengers continues to perform for Warner Bros, serving up £119,967 in its sixth weekend, for a cumulative figure of £6.2m.

Universal’s Kung Fu Panda 4 , now on its 10th session, brought in £81,278, only a 5% slip on its previous weekend. Its overall UK-Ireland figure now stands at £21.7m.

Young Woman And The Sea

‘Young Woman And The Sea’

Disney’s Young Woman And The Sea tells the true story of history-making swimmer Trudy Ederle, played by Daisy Ridley, who in 1926 swum the English channel, breaking the men’s record in the process. It opened to £64,000 from 80 sites this weekend, for a site average of £800.

Curzon’s 1980s Italy-set Cannes title La Chimera has brought in £61,694 in its fourth weekend for a running total of £589,159.

Bertrand Bonello’s sci-fi romance The Beast starring Lea Seydoux and George MacKay grossed £40,483 from 64 sites for Vertigo Releasing, for a site average of £633. It brought in an additional £18,113 from previews, for a total of £58,596 after its opening weekend.

Amy Winehouse biopic  Back To Black continues to bring in audiences in its eighth weekend on release for Studiocanal, with £47,650 taking the film’s total to £12.2m.

Twilight Of The Warriors: Walled In added £39,451 for Trinity Film/Cine Asia, bringing its cumulative figure up to £230,069.

Sony’s Korean horror Tarot added £19,675, for a £1.4m total in its sixth weekend.

Denis Chernov’s Russian family animation Little Monsters was out at 349 venues, with £18,941 from the box office at time of publication, but with many more sites to report. Including previews, the film has grossed £25,346.

Rose Glass’ Love Lies Bleeding grossed £14,998 in its fifth weekend for Lionsgate, with its total falling just shy of the £1m mark, at £927,425.

Entertainment Film added £10,811 for Alex Garland’s Civil War , taking it up to £6.4m.

Cycling drama Hard Mile s , starring Matthew Modine, opened to £8,567 from 69 locations (with the majority of sites playing one daily show) for Munro Film, to a site average of £124.

Also debuting at the box office this weekend was Sharan Sharma’s Mr & Mrs. Mahi , a Hindi-language romantic sports drama starring Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor and released by Zee Studios, and Muayad Alayan’s A House In Jerusalem from Peccadillo Pictures.
