I’m interested in their 3D/3N tour but can’t really find reviews for this specific company. Anyone have experience with them? I’m looking for a boat that is reasonably comfortable. Something above budget level.
https://sailing-whitsundays.com/whitsundays/whitsunday-blue-3d3n

Well there are reviews on the link.
No knowledge what so ever of that company.
1. A bare boat yacht charter (we have done this twice and it was a great getaway).
2. A bare boat "stink boat" charter (for those who can't sail and want a "turn key" experience) .
3. A party boat where you get to share with a load of drunken back packers or wanna-bees.
5. A private charter (expensive) you get what you pay for.
I don’t tend to trust reviews posted on a company’s website.

I have lived and worked around the Whitsundays for over 10 years including as a skipper on Whitsunday Blue, The vessel only holds 8 guests all in private accommodations and is perfect for a more personal Whitsundays experience.
Sailing-Whitsundays.com is a well known and respected, locally owned and operated company, you are in safe hands with them!
It is worth noting that this is the only 3 Day 3 Night Catamaran tour and is very popular, be sure to book early to avoid disappointment.
Kind Regards
Skipper Sam
Blue is great if you’re looking for an adults only trip. I have used this company before and they were great. Otherwise Solway Lass has a couple of 3 night trips. That’s it though. Seems like 2 and 1 night trips are the only options.

I visit Airlie Beach a few times a year on business and always want to get out on the water. I always book through these guys and never had any trouble at all. Always been super helpful - I usually book day trips but I also have done a couple of overnight tours, Blue looks like a winner. You can chat to them via their online chat which is handy if you are planning your trip while at work like I normally am! Also I think they have reviews on their Facebook page :)
Definitely want an adults only trip. Kids suck. I think I'll bite the bullet and book with them and I'll write a real review after!

I grew up in Whitsundays/Airlie Beach! You're going to have the most amazing time sailing the islands!
Whitsunday Blue is one of the only tours that offers a longer 3 night trip and is perfect for couples or those wanting a more private/small group experience.
Most locals use Sailing Whitsundays and Mr Travel. They've been around forever and have the most reasonable terms and conditions. I found a lot of other agencies reserve the right to keep our money even if the tour doesn't operate on the day due to things like weather or maintenance! CRAZY!

I contacted Rick because we were trying to plan a 2 week family trip to Australia. He was so patient with us while we figured out exactly what we wanted to do, We visited Brisbane, Cairns and Sydney. Rick helped us plan and book everything. It truly felt like a first class trip. We are so grateful to Rick for helping this dream vacation become a reality!!

Thanks for your kind words, Lauren. You were a pleasure to work with.

I can't believe it's taken me so long to finish this review! We took a family vacation to Sydney, Brisbane and Cairns in 2013. Rick carefully listened to what type of vacation our family (two teenagers and a young child) was looking forward to. He reserved incredible places to stay and pointed us in the right direction when we wanted to explore on our own. I would think using a travel guru like Mr. Australia would cost more money, but he actually saved us money and time. He is amazing!! Highly recommended!!

In Dec 2018 my husband and I left California for our first-ever trip to Australia. In the 18 days we spent down under, we continually marveled at the excellent travel choices that Rick recommended during a careful planning process. We spent 4 or 5 days in each city (Melbourne, Cairns, Port Douglas, Sydney) with a mix of small-group tours and independent explorations. Rick arranged for us to stay at Apartment/Hotels - in every city we had a full kitchen, and in 3 of 4 we also had an in-room washer/dryer. This was especially important because we like to travel light so we needed to wash clothes every 4 days - or more often in humid weather! The tour operators Rick recommended were a highlight of the trip - so much local knowledge and truly personalized service. Our full-day Great Barrier Reef tour was delightful - with so many reef operators, we wouldn't have known who to choose - and we were taken care of perfectly by the Calypso crew - only 35 on the boat so we got to see some lovely, less crowded sections of reef. Rick takes the time to find out all about each customer's dream trip - he communicates plenty of information and plans your itinerary very interactively. This was my 2nd trip planned by Rick - the first was NZ four years ago - and I prefer to begin by getting flights 6-7 months in advance - Rick patiently answers all my many many questions until finally coming up with the perfect trip. All the financial stuff was easily arranged as well - and we even got a refund since the exchange rates changed between when I booked and the time of the trip. Rick sent that refund to us within 3 days of our return! I could say more - but I guess the best recommendation is that I am already starting to think about plans for our next trip to see more of Australia!

Balmoral Beach, Mosman, NSW

Blue Mountains National Park, near Sydney NSW

Rick planned a trip to Tasmania and Melbourne for us. He booked us into 2 lodges near or inside National Parks in Tasmania, as well as a day trip to Wilson's Promontory (from Melbourne). Everything went completely according to plan, and we were actually able to drive on the left in Tasmania (!), with his tips!! We will definitely use his services again, if we make a return trip!!!

RICK is superb at what he does and made my month-long trip all over Australia an experience to remember and a breeze to organize. He bends over backwards with your preferences and needs and will accommodate any requests you have on what you're looking for, where to stay and what to do. He is reasonable, affordable and the price for the entire trip were much lower than what I was expecting. He works with whatever your travel budget is. My tours, side trips, places I stayed and cities/towns in Aus that were recommended were all outstanding and a great experience. Was gone solo for a whole month and didn't have one issue. When I travel to Europe I always plan on my own, and usually endure some hiccup or unintended setback. Even though I still did my homework on Australia, with Rick, all is taken care of and the time and headache of planning everything on your own is non-existent. Was very lucky to have found Rick while living in the South Bay. My next trip to the region will be NZ, and I will definitely be going to Rick for that trip as well. He knows this industry and particular region very well. Solid service and advice.

I have made four trips to Australia and New Zealand and each one has been meticulously planned by Rick "Mr. Australia" Stone. He is always up on the latest places to go, things to do and see and best restaurants and hotels in AU and NZ. He will also advise on what he considers less than desirable locations and activities since he has done it all. Take his advice! He is very attentive and flexible, listens to your desires and then plans the perfect trip for you. He is super responsive and will have a tentative itinerary for you within a day or so, which he will then tweak to make sure you get absolutely the trip of a lifetime that you and your budget are looking for. In his capable hands, I have visited all of New Zealand and most of Australia. I will be returning Down Under next year and am looking forward to him planning another amazing trip. He is so thorough and plans so well that pretty much all you need to do is show up! Elizabeth Charleston, SC

Went to Cairns and Sydney in November of 2011 for 12 days. Thanks to Rick Stone, the owner we were extremely happy!!! Speaking to Rick who has a vast knowledge of the country we were able to customize a trip that fit our lifestyle and interests. He was very helpful and informative with any and all of our questions. I would highly recommend calling Rick for a consultation. Thanks again MATE!! Steve S.

What reviewers want you to know
Positive highlights.
- Found the site to be useful for finding a travel companion .
Critical highlights
- Naive women may actually fall prey, so be as skeptical as possible.
- I wanted to try this so I went to look for reviews as I'm always hesitant when it comes to meeting people online.
“Really people.? Scammers?”
For all those men who say that this place has nothing but money hungry women trying to get a free trip...? This is literally a traveling /traveler lover dating site... what other type of people were you expecting? (respectfully)
“The site is a disaster”
They take way too much time to review your profile for starters, and yet there is bunch of fake accounts after all. In my case, I've been waiting for weeks for my account to be reviewed so I can post pictures and contact other members, and it's still pending. I'd recommend avoiding this site, choose some better alternative. Someone you might like there may get married by the time you get a chance to contact them...

https://sailing-whitsundays.com/whitsundays/whitsunday-blue-3d3n
I've been to the Whitsundays twice in the last three years. Both times I booked through them and got exactly what was promised. I basically said i wanted my own cabin with my partner and explained the style of trip i would like and they presented me with a few options which turned out to be perfect.
The company must run 24 hours as every time i had a question no matter what time it was, they would reply almost straight away. You can trust them.

So by reading this post are people saying that Mr Travel is legit company and fine to book with?
They also seemed linked to Sailing Whitsundays?
I've been offered discounts for advance booking for the Big Fury trip at Whitsundays and Fraser Experience trip from hervey bay.
Any comments?
Yes be sure never to use them! Terrible customer experience, you are much better booking directly through the tour operators.
My trip was cancelled due to the corona virus pandemic and they have refused to give a full refund. I spoke with the tour operators and they said they are giving out full refunds but there is nothing they can do about Mr Travel. Also they kept a hefty amount of the initial booking, certainly not an amount that was justified by admin fees
In March I and my partner supposed to go to Whitsunday. We booked with Mr. Travel sailing-whitsundays.com. We paid the whole amount of $2119,50. In a few days, they cancelled our trip, because of COVID-19. When we asked for the full refund they sent us this answer "If the Service Operator has to cancel the trip or activity (prior to departure) and we cannot offer a suitable alternative, then a refund will be given minus a 20% administration fee and any associated card fees." $2119,50-20%=$1695.60
On the 27th of March, we received an email to choose between voucher or money $1589 (they refused to pay back the whole amount, no matter we didn't cancel). We choose the money, because at that time we both, me and my partner lost our jobs. After more than 2 months we didn't get any refund. I sent an email on 7th of May, Hannah Davies replied: "I have followed up your refund with our accounts team today and as soon as I have heard back from them I will be able to provide you with an update." They have Terms and Conditions "Please allow 7-10 business days for the funds to clear into Australian accounts and up to 21 business days for international accounts." We didn't get any refund until I contacted the Office of Fair Trading and on 18th June we had got a refund of $1589.00, which is not -20%.
If we knew that it will take 3 months for a refund then we would choose the voucher, but no one told us. The situation with COVID-19 was stressful for everyone, about this we tried to understand and waited, but 3 months!!! They follow term and conditions about not full refund but don't follow it about the refund's period - 21 business days!!! Almost 3 months waiting - no compensation, even no a full refund, no on reply on email. Is this the way how you treat your customers? Thank you Whitsundays Sailing Adventures.com Ltd for our "dream holiday" and money lost!!!
We used them earlier this week and all i can is Wow! This was the highlight of our Whitsunday holiday. I couldnt find their page on tripadvisor so have posted my review on https://www.facebook.com/pg/SailingWhitsundays/reviews/?ref=page_internal. Also posted here if it helps anyone:
Chase was an amazing tour guide - very chilled out and easy going. Tim the skipper got us there and back safely on the Bullet! The first stop (Tongue Bay?) was breathtaking - the views from the lookouts were very impressive. Beautiful blue waters and golden sandy beaches. Walked to the water and was lucky to see a stingray a few metres away in the knee deep water.
The 'buffet' lunch was individually packed due to Covid-19 however it was very generous and tasty. The morning and afternoon tea snacks were also well timed. We also took our own drinks/snacks (and even a few cans of beers)! You can buy beers on the boat too.
We traveled as a family with young kids and Chase made sure we were looked after as he gave us the front seats which the kids loved!
On the way back we saw several black dolphins (aka false killer whales) which was the icing on the cake for a wonderful boat ride around the Whitsunday Islands.
Also shout out to Hannah Davies (Travel Consultant) who helped with some last minute questions the evening before. Wasn't sure we would get a response from anyone so late in the day but Hannah promptly responded to our email and helped with what items we could and couldnt bring on the boat.
Highly, Highly Recommended!

So how was it?
Ended up going on Whitsunday Getaway on a 2n/2d thing. It was advertised as having gourmet food and such but no one was really impressed by the food. So I wouldn't pay extra for this particular boat. Thankfully Whitsundays are totally worth it and there's not much that can actually spoil the sights!
Note Mr Travels terms and conditions before you book!
If the operator cancels your trip for ANY reason and they have no other options available they keep 20% of the cost as a fee for no service delivered!! Outrageous

I want to book a hotel from the site and its a guaranteed AUD price, rather than being rough approximation of what we would be charged if we book directly with an Indonesian hotel. Any catches?

Terrible customer experience, you are much better booking directly through the tour operators. My trip was cancelled due to the corona virus pandemic and they have refused to give a full refund. I spoke with the tour operators and they said they are giving out full refunds but there is nothing they can do about Mr Travel.
