Thanks to all the previous Yelpers! Your reviews saved me a lot of time. There is a common recurring theme here. After reading these reviews, then calling Goldrush Getaways, I realized that these reviews appear to be accurate and I did not need to waste my time dealing with this business. After doing price searches, I realized that the savings for my "free trip" won't be worth my time.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review William. I can't know which one of our offers you received, because, as you stated, you decided not to claim the offer. People are more skeptical these days, but we stand by the vacations that we offer. We have sent thousands of people on vacation with these offers. Many are completely complimentary, such as the 3 day weekend stay in Lake Tahoe at Mont Bleu or Harveys, plus a 10" android tablet. We offer cruises with all taxes and port charges paid. Alaska and Mexico 7 day cruises that include round-trip airfare for two that retail above $1,800 for the price of only the government imposed taxes and fees. There is simply no possible way that anyone can beat the value of the vacations that we offer through retail sales channels. However, we thank you for taking the time to consider our offer and perhaps you will give us a chance to earn your business in the future. Thank you.

Um, actually Jeff. We weren't experiencing financial hardship. But that's very cute that you think calling me poor is a kind way to treat someone. I mean, I guess you wouldn't know much about financial hardship since you steal money from people. But you can give whatever reason you thought you heard. Im pretty sure me and my husband said we weren't comfortable spending so much money on something that's not guaranteed to produce anything. And it didn't. I don't remember a return. Tell me the exact date you returned my money and I'll check my bank account. Because everything is digital and it'll be really easy to find it, if in fact it's there. Which I'm sure it's not. We did not leave happy. We were being polite. But we also felt bullied because I remember you or whoever, treating us like 2 children. It was a very condescending interaction. You made us feel like leaving with just our money back, wasn't an option. And actually I do believe you may have refunded half. But I'd like all my money back because I got nothing I was promised. And it's really bold of you to throw it in my face and everyone else's faces that we agreed to your little scam. First of all, of course I did. Because you advertised something completely different than what we got. That's literally the definition of a scam, sir. I didn't travel or use your services because your little company makes it so incredibly difficult and convoluted to figure out. Im a full time student Jeff. We have jobs. Real jobs. Not just sitting back and scamming people out of their money. I don't have time to take some 2 hour long course on how to use your website. You should've made it clear that more than one class is necessary to even be able to learn how to use the services provided. It's a system literally built for failure. If you have all these "awards and accolades", shouldn't your process be easier to navigate? But it's not. And the funny part of all of this is, I would never have even posted a review like this, if you hadn't sent that email. Automatic or not. Also, if your business is so reputable and wonderful, why can't you figure out a way to stop automatic emails from going to dissatisfied customers? Because it really felt antagonizing to receive that email. I wanted to forget this mistake I made. I even blocked your company. I don't even know how that one email got through. I'm not upset that I made a mistake. I acknowledge that. What I'm angry about, is that you try and bully people when they realize it was a mistake to invest in your scam. You harass people and guilt trip them into thinking they're 100% in the wrong. then you spit in their faces with emails and Yelp replies. Have enough decency to leave people alone after you scam them.

Ariana, We reached out to you privately through Yelp, and left you a voice message but we have not received a response. You agreed to purchase our program on 7/24/19, but on the same day met with our member services representative stating that you were experiencing financial hardship. We were sympathetic to your situation and provided you with a full refund that day. Since you still wanted to use our program for your trip to France, Norway, and Canada, we offered you a two-year membership to take advantage of the resources available through our program. You left our offices very happy and never informed us that you were unhappy until we received this Yelp review, which is not an accurate representation of what happened. You have never used our program, so you have not had an opportunity to realize any benefits. You say that we would not refund you, but we did without hesitation. We went to our presentation last weekend. Sure, it all sounded wonderful. Very friendly presentation and Very friendly staff UNTIL you decide to "think about it" and give it some "breathing room" I mean... it's OUR MONEY after all, right?!?!?!!! All $9,000.00 of it - Soooooo, excuse us if we're a little cautious with our HARD EARNED MONEY. After we, for the 9th time, told them we needed to get back to them, they treated us HORRIBLY. If you don't commit after "HER" 90 minutes of "fake" enthusiasm - they'll hastily grab the paperwork from you and let you find your way out. Icky!!!! So.... for the record: WE ARE NOT INTERSTED IN YOUR B.S. You all are fake as F. Just a big bunch of bullies who lash out when they don't get their way. And the "Rip Off" little prize getaway is also a joke. They REQUIRE that you send them $50.00 for "tax" BEFORE they will give you a list of qualified hotels. They do this because the hotels they put you at ARE DISGUSTING!!! You'll never see your $50.00 again... and chances are you will HATE the approved hotels and not even go. Another prize gives you $1,000.00 to stay in a network of approved hotels. The catch is: They only give you about $40.00 off of EACH reservation so you're basically paying for the entire reservation at each hotel you stay at. Such a waste of time & energy just to unveil ALL THE SCAMS. SCAM!!! SCAM!!!! SCAM!!!! SCAM!!!!

I did not check Yelp reviews before going to the presentation --- my big mistake! Do I know that "presentation" actually is a sale pitch? --- Yes, of cause! I am mentally strong and can handle any sales pressure and tactics. We attended in the past a similar travel industry "presentation" with positive experience receiving at least one gift of cash value, the fair compensation for time spent. This time, I was hoping to get the cheapest gift - iPad Air --- I was very wrong. They are pushing a cruise and deals that you won't be taking. The "presentation": - during check-in front-desk lady asked to show a credit card --- red flag that they will pressure you to buy something. - they show offices, awards, and diplomas --- typical trick of scam artists to show that they are "legit". - initial "interview" was pleasant, but they try to profile you. I refused to disclose any financial information. - slide presentation was colorful, fun, with lots of "too good to be true" deals. - sale pitch was to buy-into the Travel Agent club at the total cost about $10,000 with promise of super large travel discounts and deals. (No live deals demo was shown == fake!). - sales people at your table will change turns trying to press you to commit and buy right away. They will show a "magic" and drop the installment payment to $1,500 :) --- another typical sales tactic. - everyone was nice with us till our final NO ("I need to think about"). The last sales lady was nasty: with angry face she brought "our wins" and showed at the nearest door --- typical "last resort" sales trick. The whole setup is a pure SCAM. This is PYRAMID scheme scam. Don't even think of spending your $! You will regret! The worst part - the "free gifts", "wins", "savings cards" they give you have no real cash value, not free, and also SCAM. (They have limited time to apply for by paying $50 deposits and taxes upfront before they even show what you are getting. Your discounts will be minimal if any and you will regret). At the end, WHAT A TOTAL WASTE OF OUR TIME! We wasted over 3 hrs and $10 on gas and got nothing in return! I feel ripped off. AVOID this WASTE and SCAM! P.S.: HSC "$1,000" savings card is from Travel Marketing site that requires to share personal information before you can use it. I tried to search over 10 destinations - result retuned zero savings options each time === completely USELESS. "Free" cruise and Two night stay deals are from another Travel Marketing site CasablancaExpress. The site is asking to provide personal information on not secure website (red flag). Limitations: Sun - Wed check-in, Tourist and Economy class, 60 days advance reservation, Holidays excluded, $50 tax deposit, 90 days expiration. Does it sounds like a deal? :) Save your time and book on Agoda or Booking.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review Mr Zion E. First, I apologize that we fell short of your expectations. I assure you that the vacations that we present in the slide presentation are real vacations that our travel agency books regularly for people that choose to join. The awards we have received are from major travel brands. We have been in business for over 24 years and we are proud of those awards. You received a 7-Day Princess Cruise with round-trip airfare for two adults just for coming in and spending 90-minutes of your time with us. We don't represent the items you received as free. Yes, you have to pay the tax, but that was disclosed on the letter that you received. You would have had to pay the tax on the new vehicle or $49,000 if you had won that also. That vacation you received is worth up to $1,898 and we hope that you are able to enjoy it. Please message me privately with your address if you would like to be placed on our do not mail list and we won't bother you with future offers.

They want you to sign up for a club with travel benefits. Hard pass. They tend to promote free trips with strings attached. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Did you just get some mail saying you just won a Tesla, or some other wonderful prize? Then did you google this company to see if it's too good to be true? Well, hate to burst your bubble, but it is. Here's how this company, and dozens like them, operate: They get you to call their 1-800 number to claim your prize. They just need to collect a bit of personal info first. First red flag. After telling them your phone number (which they will either sell or use to solicit directly to you), address, occupation, blood type, first born's favorite food, and color of your last stool, they will inform you that unfortunately you do not qualify for their prize. They are just trying to market to a certain demographic, and too bad, so sad, you aren't in it. BuT wAiT! Don't worry, there are some other great things that you can win, guaranteed for realsies this time guys, I swear! You just need to come to our no pressure (lol), 90 minute sales pitch. Second red flag. That's the point where I hung up. I've seen this exact game before, and usually it's a tactic to get you to buy into a time share. This time the scam seems to be some fantabulous card that will grant you amazing discounts at the top of the line 4 & 5 star hotels around the globe. Except the hotels are garbage and in flyover states, and the discounts you will actually get, if any, will be up to tens of dollars I'm sure. The meeting they are inviting you to will be anything but "no pressure to buy." just look at some of the other reviews. Please, "goldrush getaways," please stop preying on those that are susceptible to falling for your scams. You can call it a "federally insured" giveaway all you want, and I'm sure all of what you are doing is technically legal (the worst kind of legal), but it definitely isn't morally acceptable. Luring people in and wasting their time just to yell at them to buy some snake oil. You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

We understand your skepticism, but our promotion is insured and anyone that receives the mail piece has a legitimate chance to win a vehicle simply for visiting our office. Winning numbers are assigned at random by the insurance company and distributed by a 3rd party mail facility. We have no knowledge of who received a winning number. Ultimately, we are just promoting our travel agency and want to give people a vacation just for stopping by and listening to who we are and what we do.

I just have to add a comment here and give major props to GG. Being able to navigate your own travel, and earn commissions...we love it! Does it take time to learn the ropes...sure but it is an investment in YOUR future! I promise you this is not a scam, we love working with GG and I hope people give them a chance.

Please DO NOT fall for this scam!! Terrible staff who degrade other people based on their background and economic status. No matter how appealing the prices may be, just save yourself time and avoid this at all cost. And to the owner, please teach your staff the basics of customer service. Such an unpleasant experience and a waste of time.

They said I won a prize. The letter was very high effort. Seems like a phishing scam.

Definitely not a phishing scam Tom, we aren't asking for any additional personal information and the letter is already addressed to you specifically. We are just a travel agency trying to promote our business by giving away vacations and a chance to win a car or $49,000.

It's a scam! Stay away! They will try to get you to pay money up front for bogus service.
