Luxury Cruises to Malaysia
Cruises to Malaysia bring you up close to tropical jungles, thrilling outdoor adventures, the best beaches, and vibrant, exciting cities that offer an eclectic Southeast Asian experience to be remembered. This beautiful country is famous for its natural splendor and balance between island life, cosmopolitan cities, incredible food, and cultural and religious diversity.
As well as visiting Malaysia’s capital, Kuala Lumpur, you’ll sail to the exquisite island regions of Penang and Langkawi. From rainforest treks to beach days, ancient temples, and centuries-old markets, you'll enjoy the best of Southeast Asia and its many wonders with an unforgettable luxury cruise to Malaysia with Celebrity Cruises.
Malaysia Cruise Highlights
Malls and markets in kuala lumpur.
Kuala Lumpur is one of the region’s top shopping destinations with endless options to choose from. There are over 50 shopping malls in the city as well as outdoor markets, street vendors, and bespoke clothing stores and tailors. Head to Suria KLCC for luxury brand shopping with over 300 stores to choose from. Walk the busy Petaling Street in Chinatown where you’ll find handmade bags, jewelry, souvenirs, and clothing at the many tiny shops.
Tropical Islands
On the Malay island of Penang and archipelago of Langkawi, you’ll explore biodiverse natural parks, small island fishing villages, and some of the best beaches in all of Malaysia. Take in local Malaysian culture at your own pace as you hop from island to island and see what makes each stop unique and memorable.
A Cultural Melting Pot
Malaysia is famous for its blended cultures and religions, with Chinese, Indian and Malay cultures intertwining to make up one of the most interesting mixes of people and traditions on Earth. You’ll find mosques and Buddhist holy sites that share the same neighborhood, as well as colorful Hindu temples. Malaysia’s cuisine, as a result of this cultural blend, is unique, featuring a range of excitingly spicy, tangy dishes.
Malaysia Cruise Ports
Langkawi is a dreamy island destination offering abundant natural beauty, beaches, and activities for the whole family. Learn about sustainable farming and sample delicious local jackfruit, mangoes, and pungent durian on a trip to the MARDI Langkawi Agro Technology Park. Hike to the Durian Perangin waterfalls, where you can picnic on the nearby rocks or take a swim in the natural plunge pool at its base. See Langkawi’s more secluded, smaller islands by boat, learn about the island’s many myths and legends, and tour some of the best beaches off the beaten path.
Penang’s richly-layered culture and access to nature have long drawn travelers to this lush Malaysian paradise. Explore the street art scene with a stroll down Beach Street in George Town. Take your senses to new heights on the glass-bottomed Rainbow Skywalk in Penang’s largest tower, an entertainment-themed complex known as “The Top”. End your visit with a tropical cocktail as you relax on the sand at the secluded Monkey Beach in Penang National Park.
Kuala Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur is a Southeast Asian mega-city that boasts efficient transportation, incredible food, and a fascinating melting pot of Malaysian culture and history against a decidedly modern backdrop. Gaze over the skyscraper-studded skyline and lush green surroundings from the observation deck near the top of the Petronas Towers, among the world’s tallest buildings. Admire the majestic colored facade and learn about the Hindu history of Kuala Lumpur at the Sri Mahamariamman, the oldest temple of its kind in the city. Before heading back on board, sample some delicious street foods like the Tamil-inspired nasi kandar, made with steamed curried rice, chicken, cinnamon, and anise

Cruise to Langkawi, Malaysia
Things to do in langkawi.

Sun and Surf
Stunning Cenang beach in Langkawi island, in Malaysia
Langkawi leaves beach lovers positively spoiled for choice. For a mix of natural beauty and a lively social scene, head to popular Pantai Cenang. Or get a taxi to the northern tip of the island and Tanjung Rhu, whose secluded sands are perfect for relaxation.

Enter the Wild
Seven wells waterfall with rocks into a stream of water in Langkawi, Malaysia
If you have the time, do yourself a favor and enjoy Langkawi's emerald interior. Hike to the Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls, which are also known as the Seven Wells due to the seven pools at their foot. Or summit Gunung Raya, whose 2,400-foot peak offers one of Langkawi's most impressive panoramas.

Selfie Spots
Of course, you don't need to over-exert yourself to enjoy a great view — or a perfect selfie. Ride Langkawi's Cable Car to the 2,000-foot high SkyBridge for panoramic views and a death-defying walk above the rainforest. Then head down to Kuah Jetty, where you can snap another selfie with Langkawi's iconic Eagle statue (the island's name means "Strong Eagle" in Old Malay).

Local Cuisine
Like the rest of Malaysia, Langkawi is a culinary melting pot that blends Muslim Malay food, Hokkien Chinese cuisine and spicy Indian flavors. Cruise to Langkawi to try traditional nasi lemak , with fragrant coconut rice, vanilla-esque Pandan leaves and spicy, garlicky sambal wrapped in a banana leaf. Or feast of char kway teow , stir-fried rice cakes spiced with chilies and topped with shrimp and bean sprouts.

Langkawi is a duty-free zone, so no matter where you get your shopping done, a bargain is never far away. Head to Pantai Cenang's Zon complex or Langkawi Parade Megamall in Kuah for deals on electronics, liquor, clothing — you name it. To find authentic local items during your Langkawi cruise, look for handmade batik or songket prints, made from silk or cotton and patterned with gold and sliver threads.

Cruise into 2024 with Volvo's spectacular year-end deals

Look out for great rebates on Volvo’s SUV’s including the Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric.
Grab the award-winning Volvo all-electric SUVs and enjoy attractive cash rebates in year-end offerings
REFLECTING the Swedish luxury marque's commitment to a zero emission future, the Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric sports utility vehicle (SUV) has won multiple awards for its advanced technologies, smart packaging and design, and providing a nice combination of everyday practicality and driving pleasure.
These honours include the CarSifu Editors’ Choice Awards 2023's "Best Small Luxury Electric Crossover/SUV".
The fashionable Swedish BEV (battery electric vehicle) has a trendy coupe-like styling, and the benefits of an SUV but with a lower and sleeker design.
Meanwhile, a dual motor all-wheel drive set-up, along with a very muscular 408hp and 660Nm of torque, contribute to sure-footed driving joy and a quick 0-100kph sprint in 4.7 seconds.
Its safety package includes seven airbags, run-off road protection, a whiplash protection system (WHIPS), front and rear collision warning and mitigation support, lane keeping aid and blind spot information system with steer assist.
It is the second locally assembled EV from Volvo Car Malaysia and first Volvo model fully designed to be electric only.
The Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric offers 450km of pure electric range (based on the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure or WLTP measurement process which is deemed closer to reality).
Charging its 78kWh lithium-ion battery from 10 – 80% takes 28 minutes (with a 150kW DC or direct current rapid charger).
There are also Google built-in features such as Google Assistant, Google Play and Google Maps for real-time traffic info to help you reach your destination with less hassle.
Assisted Safety features also ensure the safest and seamless driving experience.
These include a 360-degree parking view, Cross traffic alert with autobrake when reversing, Rear Collision Warning, as well as an advanced body structure and a unique battery safety cage to help protect all occupants.
The Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric also has one-pedal drive which nearly removes the need to step on the brake pedal, as once you lift off your right foot or ease off the accelerator pedal, there is an instant speed retardation effect.

With some intuitive judging, the car can come to a smooth, complete stop without stepping on the brake pedal, and before reaching the object in front.
As we found, this is a very convenient feature in slow-moving traffic or congested roads.
Using one-pedal drive also results in more regenerative braking and charges the C40 Recharge’s battery.
Like all BEVs, the Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric is nearly silent to drive, and the premium motoring experience includes an immersive sound enjoyment via its Harman Kardon Premium Sound system, powered by a 600W digital amplifier and enabled by 13 hi-fi speakers including an air-ventilated subwoofer.
An expression of responsible luxury, the Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric is also the first Volvo model to be completely leather-free.
We enjoyed the cosy feel and contemporary design of the cabin, with its snug and comfortable suede textile/Microtech upholstery.
A large, fixed dark tinted, laminated panoramic glass roof lends a ambience of airiness and light.
Shod with 19-inch wheels, the Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric provides a nice balance between ride comfort and sporty handling, with road imperfections well soaked up on the badly-maintained routes we took in the Klang Valley.
We had a Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric demonstration unit for a few days, and we only used the portable charging cable and a 3-point electrical socket at home for overnight charging.
There was always ample remaining travel range, as our daily commutes range from 60km to 150km.
Volvo XC40 Recharge Pure Electric

Last year, the Volvo XC40 Recharge Pure Electric also won the “Best Small Electric SUV” in the CarSifu Editors’ Choice Award 2022.
It is the first pure electric model in Volvo’s recharge line-up and a big step towards Volvo’s commitment to transition into a fully electric car company by 2030.
By 2030, the Swedish luxury car marque intends to phase out any car in its global portfolio with an internal combustion engine (ICE), including hybrids.
Building on the appeal and success of the conventional Volvo XC40 SUV line-up, the Volvo XC40 Recharge Pure Electric ups the ante with a powerful two-motor powertrain system and a large high voltage pack that promises a driving range of 418km (according to WLPT).
It also gets an array of smart safety features that make it as safe as any other Volvo.
Volvo BEVs' year-end offers

As the year-end approaches, Volvo Car Malaysia is all set to usher in an era of excitement and electrification with deals from now until Dec 31, 2023.
Grab the opportunity to go electric with both award-winning Volvo’s EVs with Volvo’s year-end deals:
> Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric MY23 – RM16,000 instant cash rebate (post-rebate hassle free price of RM272,888)
> Volvo XC40 Recharge Pure Electric MY23 – RM25,000 instant cash rebate (post-rebate hassle free price of RM258,888)
Volvo Car Malaysia offers five years unlimited mileage warranty, additional High Voltage Battery warranty for eight years or 160,000km (whichever is first), Volvo Service Inclusion programme (includes service and selected wear and tear coverage for the first five years or 100,000km), and free five years Roadside Assistance.
Embrace the new year in style, luxury, and elegance with Volvo's all-electric and zero emission SUVs.
